To MSCollect and all others who come here and trash our work:  IT WON'T go down!! and if it will go down, it will just bounce back.
We know that you just want to Influence the newbies around here. That's all. Go to your own coins.

[/color]

look at all the alt coins, the market is crashing what really set USDe apart? 500 satoshi for a 1 billion coins Undecided

Where's the crash???
http://coinmarketcap.com/ none
and what 1 billion coins? do you even know how to calculate?  There are mined only 177 mil coins you math genious

sorry, 1.6 Billion (1,600,000,000) total supply.

Yeah, and? if all coins we're mined, at a value of 500 satoshi, this would mean a market cap of 6 mil $. Why is that so impossible?

Hold on tight, just found a pic of MsCollec:

but i know this is only the beginning.

It's actually hard to believe this coin is only less than half a month old.
The time so far has in my opinion been filled with enough potential, activity and development that would last on your average crapcoin to run profitable for months. Been around long enough to see them all launch, starting from bitcoin white sheet.
This might not be the bitcoin-killer, or then again... well at least in my eyes it looks like the most promising altcoin in a long time.
And believe me, I ain't shitting you when I say this is not crap.  Cheesy

Community, Dev, Service providers, thank you for being there. Let's all enjoy the long and steady ride. Remember, week #2.  Wink

How about instead of complaining about people selling at low prices, we could perhaps pump the price up all together by collectively buying all USDe possible at any price.

I don't know... how about 20:00 GMT @ coinmarket.io.
This is an open invitation, join in! Cool

Well, I do day trading in smaller amounts (10-20 btc) quite often, but I can tell you one thing: Never ever post it public, unless you got endless BTC to buy everything, they will dump into you as fast as they can.

I'm hoping It's not dumping only into me. If enough people put effort at the same time coordinately. But no guarantees on anything ever... except I'm gonna be there at the given time with my not so endless BTC supply, doing what I'm asking everyone in the community to do at the same time.

Either way, I'm gonna end up with at least some more USDe and not regretting that a bit.

Y'all be invited now!

A few things:
1) I have no idea how to use vanitygen but would like a personalized USDE address, any tips, or is it possible to have someone make one for me without handing my wallet over to them?
2) I forgot the second thing...........ya, not coming back to me :/

You would need to trust anyone creating such for you least a 100%.
When the person creates the address he also creates the privatekey that is an unique key that authorizes anyone who knows it to access coins sent to that specific address. The key cannot be changed afterwards keeping the address. And there is no way of knowing that did the person who created it destroy his copy of the key.

That being said, I'm 100% trustworthy and willing to generate and sell such a key with personal instructions (via chat/irc/pm) on how to import it into your wallet and after that completely destroy my copy of the key. PM if you believe me and want to discuss prices depending on the difficulty of the phrase you'd like to have. Cheesy

2) Run the appropriate executable for your system with command line parameters like in this example, replacing the <string> for what you want your address to read after the first character (G):

Why goes it have to start with "G"?

If you really want to know it's described here: https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Base58Check_encoding

I tell my wife how much I've got and what it's worth and she's like "Sell it, we need the money. SELL IT GOD"
and I'm just like "lolnope"

Hold it like a boss, market pulls like a bull. I'd be ruined if I sold every time my GF wants to panic sell.

Maybe I should keep a ledger where to mark up the current value every time she says I should sell and when I finally do sell (a little), show her the ledger.  Roll Eyes

USDE will hit cryptsy at 15.02.2014 7:30PM EST

Source?

They are guessing on it for a contest that was announced some pages ago. It's rather retarded that they didn't start their own thread for that or even ask for people to put a notifier on their bets so that new people who jump in the thread would not think someone has solid info.

You are not the first one to get confused by this contest related spam.  Embarrassed

Its just a contest man.

Yes it is, and it could have been taken care by taking into consideration the two things I mentioned, so that it would not confuse or spam this thread.
I prefer coin ANN threads are about coins development. But that's me, and even more i hate pool ads on coin ANN threads.

And that was just an answer for the newest person who got confused by this, man!

Edit: Thank You for what the next post has to say! Lot smarter that way even thou I'd prefer using another thread.
And didn't mean to come on all so hostile as my opinions might have sounded. Another reason for setting these things on their own threads is so USDe could get more visibility on forum with several posts on different sections. Not only because it makes it hard to follow coin dev when ANN thread get flooded with offtopic. Smiley

Why goes it have to start with "G"?
All USDe addresses start with G? I hope this is a serious question.
Here is my new USDe Address  Roll Eyes : GUSDE669sdYnpkcTuaAhK5hgXXYknDa9tS
You guys know what it means? It means Go USDe!!!
Any kind of donations are welcome for testing my new wallet, thanks in advance!!!  Cheesy
And, before I forget, My address pattern is CopyRight!!! LOL

That is pretty cool! Smiley how do you put letters in your address? I would like to add some letters.

Its probably just a random generated. He was just lucky enough to get this adress.

No way! Haha that would be a crazy coincidance. Lucky guy Smiley

I wrote the instructions on page 256: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=410254.msg4808945#msg4808945
Technically it's randomly generated but with vanitygen you can create millions of random keys per second until it hits the pattern you were searching.

Also my wallet is not syncing, it has 10 connections to network thou. It's not even trying and failing according to debug.log.
It would be fantastic if you would use version numbers so i would know do i have the latest build...

v1.0.1.0-g3aaa7ba-beta

Thanks, and i see it's been changed so that the download directory has the version information, but i really think the .zip should be named accordingly too. Smiley

For those who desire an more personal USDe address, with their nick or name on it for example.

For caution backup your wallet.dat before trying or try it on a new empty wallet first.

Creating USDe address-space vanity-address:
1) Download the latest version of vanitygen: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=25804.0
2) Run the appropriate executable for your system with command line parameters like in this example, replacing the <string> for what you want your address to read after the first character (G):
Code:
vanitygen64.exe -X 38 G<string>
3) After finding an appropriate address and it's private key copy-paste them somewhere for later
4) Open up your USDe wallet and navigate to Help->Debug window->Console
5) Unlock your wallet (if encrypted) by: walletpassphrase <yourpassword> 1000
6) Import the private key you found for your new address: importprivkey <privatekey> [label]
7) Check that the importing went fine: validateaddress <newaddress>

If everything went okay you should see the validateaddress results starting with lines:
Code:
{ "isvalid" : true,
"address" : "<newaddress>",
"ismine" : true

Cool After that just restart your client and start receiving coins to your new pretty addy!

While writing this my new address is still generating but feel free to send eCoins to my not so vain address if this was of any help. Cheesy

I for one would be far more trusting and confident if there would be more transparency regarding what kind of security issues we are talking about.
Then I could assess was it something that could have not been foreseen easily and decide are they handling things properly and professionally. Did they scale servers bad, did SQL crash? Did it get hacked? Was the userbase compromised, did they get salted hashes?
THESE THINGS MATTER SO DIFFERENTLY IN SO MANY WAYS.

Admin telling there is a "security issue" is the lame kind of error reporting i get from windows.
Bump if I'm not the only one thinking this. Cheesy

In a way, admin describing the specific security issue is a security issue. If you find a weakness, you fix it, not announce it, so anyone would know where to look for it.

In a way in theory. Yes.
But take my questions for example, answering yes or no to them can't cause any major risks.
I didn't even ask what SQL or the version of it etc.
Risk nominal, minimal or nonexistent, reassurance value on the other hand: priceless.

You should really contact this dude called anonymous, from all i have read about him in the internet it seems that he might be just the right person to promote this coin.

Also I've gathered that he has quite a lot of pooled resources around the web, maybe he should also start to mine this coin so we can get above the measly 1GH/s network. So if anyone knows anonymous, please call him to aid this awesome coincept!
I for one am holding and buying dirt cheap.  Roll Eyes
