21  Economy / Speculation / Re: I feel like bitchslapping anyone who creates panic on: April 26, 2013, 03:45:06 PM
I think what you are saying is "don't let market volatility undermine the long term value of bitcoin .... pretty much ...(long term value here being its functionality .... for what we care bitcoin can have any value for x .... it can be x = 1 or x = 100000 ...if the value is more ore less constant than in the long term this is a solid and pretty beneficial mean of payment .... but if it changes from one day to another by more than 5% ...maybe even 10% ...well that's very volatile ... not even a SR dealer wants too be paid in something that might become -20% by the time escrow is released and than -30% by the time he cashes out ...only to find out that tmw it's +10% but that doesnt matter to him anymore now that he cashed out .... most ppl want to use money fiat or krypto to PAY and BE PAID IN ...and not to speculate on its value to make +/- a couple of bucks ...that's the stock market and brokers thingy ...not the normal clients interest....imo

how to overcome this ??
...by circulating the bitcoins as much as possible and by speculating on their value as less as possible ?

OMG ...bitcoin is a small market...influenced by little crap

... IF A STUPID HACKER JOKE which was TOTALLY 100% JUST A JOKE (no person with a brain ..a working one at least could have really believed that the WH was bombed and obama injured last week ...and still ppl believed it ...even though it was not confirmed and boom ...dow jones, nasdaq ..shit went flying down in value ...

now same happens with bitcoin ...a couple of idiots there a couple here and panic and boom ...drops value.
1.Don't let some google analysis destroy the bitcoin market or value
2.Don't add stress to that by EXPECTING bitcoin to crash ESPECIALLY IF U USE IT !!! TRUST THIS COIN OR FUCK OFF ! Wink dont speculate on its fall, but try to make it thrive and make it stronger !!!

And about switching to AMD, when you have 3 different videocards in one computer, sometimes the drivers are not compatible and some won't work, or work properly.  So that's why I'm not going to risk screwing up the delicate balance of my three Nvidia cards powering my 6 monitors.

Um welcome to the 21st century they make graphics cards capable of powering 4,5,6+ monitors.  Still if your computer has no PCIe there is no point in upgrading.  Really the lifespan of GPU mining is probably very limited at this point as ASICs will eventually push them out the door so you likely aren't missing much.

What video card is that ? model etc ? seems interesting Smiley thx

If no than you should DEFINITELY POST it in this thread (so people don't waste time)

Thank you

31  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Yubikey (general two factor auth) question on: April 23, 2013, 11:01:37 PM
Thank you for the answer.

I forgot to specify : YES ! I would like to get one from Yubico.
I don't want it for Mt.Gox AT ALL !!! I don't want to use Mt.Gox.
But I want to use it for a wallet or more wallets @ https://blockchain.info/wallet/ ..can it be used there ?

May I ask why : "You don't want to share the same Yubikey with more than one service."??
Is it a software/hardware issue or just to be extra safe ? For example I would at least like to use one for 2-3 different poker sites if possible and another one for 2-3 different BTC blockchain wallets ...

33  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Yubikey (general two factor auth) question on: April 23, 2013, 10:44:57 PM
Hello. I am interested in ordering a Yubikey from their website, but I am curious about something first.

Can I use it as a two factor auth for ANYTHING ?? or are they specially designed for BTC wallets ?

I am asking because I would like to use it for BTC...but my primary interest is in other apps ...for example password managers, poker clients, online casinos, maybe even communication ? or just safe file storage ?

Can it be used for all those tasks ? and is 1 enough ? or do i need one yubi for each thingy separately ?

I realize these are probably totally stupid questions ...and I am GRATEFUL for anyone taking their time to answer ...I'd rather hear it from an experienced user (or someone who has it at least) rather than reading potentially fake/incorrect googled up information.

Thank you !!

Hello. I would like to ask for an account update so I can finally start posting in other sections.

Reasons behind this:

1.) I need to post in the marketplace to buy BTC ... I can offer MB/PS and will only deal through escrow.
2.) I would like to post in the XRP thread : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=145506.0
3.) I would like to be able to ask questions in other parts of the forum where more professional users hang out.

4.) I promise not to spam and scam ! LOL (I know this doesn't mean much being only my word, but trust is something one builds in time by taking small steps...and I think I am ready to take my first steps out of the newbie box (I hope you as an Admin will feel the same).

Thank you !

EDIT PS: Also I have 5+ posts (you can check ..no spam included except for my 1st post where I stupidly begged and than learned my lesson:D)
Also I have over 4h clocked in ...4h 1minute to be precise Smiley

36  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: SCAMMER Coinabul owes me 3.3 BTC! on: April 22, 2013, 09:09:44 PM
IMO this is a HUGE BITCOIN risk ... really well established sellers abuse the fact that Bitcoin is anonymous and hard to track/regain back ...and after a time of legit biz they seem to turn darkside and boom ...take all of a sudden 20-30 big orders and than poof vanish into thin air....

most likely they will also open up a new exact same biz and repeat this again after being established....
same happens with some sellers on silk etc etc..

huge bitcoin issue... its protection and anonymity motivates some established sellers to close shop with a big scam after a while Sad ...

I would also be interested. For safety reasons I will not post my username ...but I grind daily on PS....A LOT !

Maybe I am naive, but I think I am skilled enough to get started decently with the 50 you offer ....

If this is still a valid offer than I am applying !

Thank you.

(I looked at SWC a couple of times and wow ...very very minimal traffic...I mean is there a peak hour of the day or something when player count reaches 500+ ?? because so far I NEVER saw more than 400 online on SWC Sad(

And I DO NOT HAVE AN ACCOUNT so I believe I could be eligible.

THX

EDIT PS: If you want proof of not being a scammer I can provide you with some PS screenshot while multitabling on zoom or normal cg ...with the username blanked out of course Wink
38  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Who here regrets not ordering a BFL unit? on: April 22, 2013, 02:15:41 PM
matty : imo if you have btc in wallet etc...buy one ... worst case scenario you loose btc .... normal scenario ... you get it when diff goes up and you get back your 3btc in 3 months than you mine forever for free.   ...best case scenario ... bfl stars shipping quickly you get it soon ...and boom ...millionaire Wink jk but you get the point

The price of the jala IS SO LOW ...that given ANY diff increase it will still make its money back ASAP and after its yours to keep forever....if it becomes too low of a profit...resell it to someone less experienced or in a bigger hurry Wink
39  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Who here regrets not ordering a BFL unit? on: April 22, 2013, 02:13:10 PM
i do regret...esp since the price raised for the jalapenos from 149 Sad( ... and given that I was thinking about ordering when BTC was huge value...was a time when you could buy a jalapeno with 1 btc ffs ....(peak value of btc before bubble)

will def buy 2 jalas ASAP when I see the first ones in peoples hands...people from this forum for ex ...im sure even with diff raise and everything that paying 250$ and just plugging it into usb will get you a lot more money back in just a couple of months ...even if we order late ...
40  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: buy forum account - get out of newbie jail fast! on: April 22, 2013, 02:06:01 PM
IT IS JUST WRONG AND WRONG AND WRONG ....
who cares if it's a scam or not ...if it's legit it's even worse imo ....makes me feel that the antispam protection has totally failed if 3$ can buy a working account .... MODS you looking ...??
