Good to see this project evolve. It's a faucet with a twist and thus more interesting than most of the others. But I sometimes have to clear cache to be able to solve the captchas - annoying but worth it.

If your node isn't fully synced yet it might appear as not reachable at bitnodes. Wait until it's done and try again if you're sure your port is really open.

Natürlich kann es sich lohnen eine Coin zu minen und dank eines späteren Kursanstiegs einen Gewinn einzufahren aber tendenziell ist der Strompreis in Deutschland nicht wettbewerbsfähig. Natürlich gibt es Ausnahmen und besondere Situationen aber bedenke, dass du mit Chinesen konkurrierst die im Gegensatz zu unseren 25 Cent/kWh 5 Cent/kWh zahlen.

However; it could be that the exchange is hacked and due to legal processes also the fiat holder might be affected - so for example victims of the hack might sue the exchange and a court might order them to refund the  victims. The exchange can't so it becomes insolvent and now it has to pay even more to pay the costs for court and administration of the insolvency. In this case a hack would affect the fiat holders so better be careful and vouch your exchanges diligently!

As others have noted there is no recourse without the backup key. You can should contact every support team of the affected accounts and hope for their cooperation. In a similar situation I noted that it helps when you attach a picture of yourself holding your ID and a piece of paper with the name of the service you're contacting and current date written on it. I guess this shows that you're willing to underake some efforts to prove your identity and many support teams will ask you for something similar anyways.

I hope we close the daily above 2420$ at Bitstamp. I know we broke down in the triangle but it just doesn't feel like a bubble popping. Rather everybody who's selling now does so hoping to buy back lower in the not so distant future. After all Bitcoin will finally activate SegWit this month and the FUD surrounding the 1st August is way overblown IMO.

Ich stimme zu, dass unterschiedliche Exchanges unterschiedliche Zwecke erfüllen. So nutze ich Bitstamp als Fiat/BTC Handelsplatz, Poloniex für Alts/BTC und BitMex für Margin Trading. Weiterhin empfiehlt es sich weitere Accounts bei anderen Börsen anzulegen - und gegebenenfalls auch zu verifizieren -, bevor diese Accounts nötig werden. Kraken, bitcoin.de, Bitfinex, Okcoin und Bittrex sind sozusagen meine Reservelösungen

Supposed walls have vanished too often upon approach to be really meaningful and often indicate a movement in the opposite direction - eg buy walls might exist to fill sell order in front of them  

IMO the 1st August is gonna be a non-event because Segwit will be locked in before and a chain split will be avoided. The real question will be what will happen in November and the weeks leading up to the hard fork. So I guess you can invest safely now but should pay close attention from September on.

Read and understand the whitepapers, check the teams and their background carefully and ask yourself seriously whether there is a market for the purpose the coin tries to serve. Especially many Ethereum Tokens try to decentralize things that don't need to be decentralized and might even be more efficient in a centralized way in my opinion.
