17838 and 17839? I noticed connection problems at the end of both rounds and that costs. But it's all part of the lottery.

Sorry. I said "bloody pig" at the baltic sea a few days ago. I'll make amends.

Cheesy

No need to go to BTC Guild. I have earned almost twice as much here as I did there. And I tested both PPLNS and PPS.

Jcw188 (sorry quoting just doesn't work here): Bitminter is probably best for you as it seems to have a pure PPLNS system while the algorithm Slush uses favours shares submitted just before a block is found. To get well paid you'd need to stay online for a long time or log off just when a block is found.

5120-01-518-6126: Mining is optional, but Slush's pool pays off best of all pools I've ever mined for. Not to mention the dedication and great attitude of it's owner.

I like to think of a mining pool as a cooperative, a win-win thing. That also means we all share the bad days.

Aqualung my friend, don't you start away uneasy (sorry had to quote that song). Some spam filters are very paranoid, especially when a well known SMTP server has moved to a new IP. Hotmail is the worst example. I use a GMail address only for Slush, and I got the e-mail instantly.

Works fine here luffy. I got the mail, followed the link and changed my pass.

I don't know about the rest of you but it looks like I'm receiving rewards for block #17671
According to Blockchain that's an orphaned block...

OK, so now that I've seen that they've actually shipped a product, I immediately ordered a Jalapeno using Paypal's "pay after it's delivered" option.
They say they have shipped a few units, but is it confirmed from any buyers yet?

Strange, ewitte. But DNS's live their own lives sometimes. Looks like all stratum records have several IP's so one of these should be valid:
    stratum.bitcoin.cz, A, 54.214.10.150
    stratum.bitcoin.cz, A, 54.214.4.50
    stratum.bitcoin.cz, A, 54.214.10.101
    stratum.bitcoin.cz, A, 54.214.10.134
    stratum.bitcoin.cz, A, 54.214.10.135

And slush: Keep up the great work! Hope you'll get some sleep eventually. I'm sure the Amazon cloud will be a safe solution.

Everyone mining with Slush, restart your mining clients and make sure the stratum domain resolves to an address in the Amazon cloud. It's 54.214.10.135 when I check here.
Before I restarted mine it still used the old compromised server which is still running. I'm not sure they will be able to use the bitcoins mined there but I hate the thought of it.

Before I restarted mine it still used the old compromized server and we don't want to do the laundry for the bad guys do we?

Just to clarify (and get my 5 posts. sorry):
There hasn't been one single confirmed delivery? The specs are a little too good to be true so it wouldn't surprise if they are just that. I mean If you bought the 5GH model it would be payed after one week of mining at the current rate.

5 posts to make a post. A bit of Catch 22 about that one.
