How much you had to cripple that card to run at that efficiency?

Hi, what is the intensity for 1080ti's for C11 algo ? currently getting 30 MH/s with intensity 21 on ccmineralexis78 per 1080ti.

Hi. Does anyone know how to mine with lyra2v2 algo on 1080ti. Currently using ccmineralexis78 with intensity 20 and it crashes after reaching 75MH/s.

with nvOC ?
In Windows 8.1 x64

nvidea-smi  shows my cards in one order but the miner shows them in a different order.  Is there a way to correct this?

upgrade to beta or apply the solution posted here 2 weeks ago.

Maybe someone with more knowledge than me will post it again.

there is an environment variable CUDA_DEVICE_ORDER. Its default set to FASTEST_FIRST. You just have to change it to PCI_BUS_ID. This helps to get the device order in nvidia-smi and miner same.

I found something called CUDA_DEVICE_MAX_ CONNECTIONS in CUDA C programming pdf. Its value is 1 to 32 (default is 8 ). can this be the factor for limit of 8 gpu's per mobo.

just google 'nvidia profile inspector'. download and run it.

Normally when a miner starts, gpu boost 3.0 boosts the core clock to 2025-2075mhz and when miner quits it comes down to original state, but while cooldown the gpu gets boosted even more for a split second causing the nvidia driver to crash. the problem here is that when start or quit, there is not enough power ( i mean software/driver limit). All gpu follow a base profile ( _GLOBAL_DRIVER_PROFILE (Base Profile) ) here there is a key that states ' CUDA - Force P2 State' its ON by default. you just need to change the state to OFF.

You can check the power state by command-line to get current state
Code:
nvidia-smi -q -d PERFORMANCE

No crashing of driver and sniffdog. every thing running smoothly. i just switched the power state of gpus to P0.

Currently mining skein at hashrefinery with 2x 1080TI on ccmineralexis78 ( from nemosminer zip) getting 2064 mh/s.
31  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: GPU Mining Cards feedback request on: September 18, 2017, 01:38:48 PM
Thanks all of you, but i still have this question in mind.

Do you guys look at ROI period while ranking 1080Ti at top? as per my cost calculation its 8 months at earliest for a 1080Ti to breakeven and keeping in view of volatility of market it could go up to 12 months on other hand 1080 is 5 months ROI period and AMDs are 4 months payback.

Whats your reason for still voting for 1080ti when you know its ROI period is so long?

In some algos like nist5, skein, equihash, aftermarket 1080ti perform like a beast. the core count is huge, so even if more algo comes out in future, it will be beast for few years. 3584 cores running at 2.0 GHz and 11 GB GDDR5x with 352-bit memory bus.
32  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 1080Ti Specific - Best mining option on: September 17, 2017, 06:55:56 PM
Sniffdog zpool+hash,all algos,no OC(otherwise it crash the farms apparently),switch time 5 mins -2.85/card.
Not happy at all.

just stick to hashrefinery and mine coins algos profitable for 1080 TI such as x17, Lyra2re2, Skein, Nist5.

I am mining nist5 at hashrefinery with 2x gtx 1080ti, hashrate=185MH/s and getting 0.0024 BTC/Day. Is this good enough? or there is something better.

Copied the alexis version from this and it works. Getting 880 kH/s!!

Can you share exact link for miner you downloaded ?
Or/and paste MD5 hash for ccminer.exe here...

just download the NemosMiner-v1.7.6-ZPOOL. there will be ccmineralexis78.exe inside the zip. use that miner for gtx1060 with intensity 15 (-i 15). You will get 900 kh/s.

bat file?

Code:
ccmineralexis78 -a neoscrypt -o stratum+tcp://your_pool:port -u wallet_address -p password -d device_id -i 15

check your device_id using nvidia inspector.

I`m using sniffdog for last couple of days mining skein and from time to time notice strange decrease in hashrate. This image perfectly illustrates the problem, it has started 4 hours ago and still persists. All this time my sniffdog miner shows straight 4.7Gh/s at 5x 1080 ti, while website only sees 1.3Gh/s.

Can anyone confirm having this too? I only found posts regarding high reject value, but nothing regarding my case.

On all pools the readings of the hashed are not exact and change constantly. Payment is not for a hasht but for sent you share.

Did u set difficulty 'd=4' in sniffdog?

Hi. I'm currently using tpruvot ccminer v2.2 to mine neoscrypt at hashrefinery.

Zotac gtx 1080 TI amp extreme core = 1.6 mh/s
Asus strix gtx 1080 TI = 1.5 mh/s

I have gtx 1060 performing only 700 kh/s. How r u doing 900+ kh/s ?

How are you getting your 1080 TIs to perform so good?

Mine is only doing 1mh.
My specs (running) cards are:

zotac core= 2025mhz / mem=5599 / pl=120% / fan= 100% / templimit=85
asus  core= 2012mhz / mem=5499 / pl=120% / fan= 100% / templimit=85

Ambient temp air is around 23 C ( using A/c, ofcourse).
As the electricity is cheap here, so i dont mind going all the way up in power.

How much difference is there between all of the different types of 1080 Ti's? I'm looking to set up my first rig with 2 or 3 to start with. Most are out of stock apart from
Asus ROG STRIX GTX1080 Ti. It's got 3 fans if that makes any difference!

Typically the most noticeable difference is in the quality of cooling implemented, meaning that you can overclock it higher while staying at a safe temperature (noise will usually be less too). There's no guarantee though, some FE GTX 1080 Ti will overclock higher then the average non reference 1080 Ti.  Overall though, an aftermarket model, especially a higher end one will be a little bit better of an overclocker.

Asus strix gives 500-550 mh/s. Zotac amp extreme gives 550-600 mh/s mining LBRY with ccminer alexis v1.0.
40  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: what coin are you mining longterm? on: July 31, 2017, 07:40:18 AM
My answer is Litecoin,Litecoin - Stability, closely linked to Bitcoin,. I like this coin, It is also easy to mine and quite effortless.
So what coin are you mining and why?

I'm all into Monero these days. The price is pretty good and stable too. It incearse consistently as the market for bitcoin rises. Plus I'm affording mining with CPU and GPU which is my type of mining whatsoever. The profits are amazing with the hash rate I'm using.

Second choice for me is litecoin but I really get attracted to monero all the time. Happy mining!

how are u mining monero with gpu. need help!!!
