21  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin predictions? on: January 22, 2018, 02:04:22 AM
It is hard to predict the price of bitcoin or crypto coins in general. 2017 is a great year for bitcoin, hope 2018 will be good too.
22  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][RHOC] Official RChain Cooperative - 40,000 TX/SEC SCALABLE BLOCKCHAIN on: January 22, 2018, 12:23:03 AM
Is it real with 40,000 transactions per second? Fastest blockchain?
23  Other / Off-topic / Re: Bitcoin community is rising. on: January 19, 2018, 05:28:35 AM
It is good for bitcoin with the rising community. More users mean higher acceptance by general public and more use cases. So it is good.
24  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is BTC the new gold ? on: January 19, 2018, 05:03:21 AM
Heard about this - BTC is a digital version of gold, a new asset class. Let's see how it develops.
25  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [ARO] | Arionum | CPU Only | PHP Based | Decentralized Revolution on: January 19, 2018, 03:17:29 AM
Looks interesting coin - CPU only and fixed percentage of transaction fee which is pretty unique.
26  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BYTEBALL: Totally new consensus algorithm + private untraceable payments on: January 19, 2018, 03:05:33 AM

Are bitcoin holders with linked addresses still going to get a share of the distribution, or is that finished now?

Per the official web site (byteball.org), the 11th round is tentatively scheduled for the full moon of March (Mar 2, 2018 at 00:51 UTC).
27  Economy / Economics / Re: Can we totally eliminate all the banks in this world? on: January 15, 2018, 03:51:20 AM
In my opinion, not as banks serve other functionalities that crypto currencies do not offer, such as lending, interest and etc.
28  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN]Bitcore- BTX - SEGWIT - lowest fee - hybrid fork 1:0.5 of Bitcoin on: January 15, 2018, 03:23:30 AM
#99 on CMC; we made the top 100 and are moving on up! Like the Jefferson's, lol.
Great that BTX makes to the top 100. Hope it will move up further. It has potential.
29  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 9 Reasons Bitcoin Could Hit $100,000 Or More on: January 15, 2018, 03:06:29 AM
I hope that BTC does hit 100k, but I hope it happens genuinely over time and not fast like a bubble. If BTC hit 25k by the end of this year. I would be happy with that.
Good point. Hitting 100k gradually is better that getting there very fast.
30  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][SEM] Semux - Official Thread - 🚀 BTC Airdrop Now 🚀 on: January 15, 2018, 12:10:46 AM
Thanks dev, got Semux in drop, and this time next week hope to be on mainnet. Best wishes for the week ahead.
Yes, got same amount of airdrop coins as last week. Looking forward to the main net launching next week!
31  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The reason why bitcoin transaction price was so high on: January 12, 2018, 06:38:05 AM
It is due to the number of transactions bitcoin network can handle per block (block size limit), and there are more transactions than the network can handle.
32  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Mark Zuckerberg is looking into cryptocurrency ::) ::) ::) on: January 12, 2018, 06:21:29 AM

34  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][SEM] Semux - Official Thread - 🚀 BTC Airdrop Now 🚀 on: January 11, 2018, 02:47:23 AM
so what is the current number of validators?
There are a total of 64 validators in RC5. And there will be 100 validators once main net launches.
35  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN]Bitcore- BTX - SEGWIT - lowest fee - hybrid fork 1:0.5 of Bitcoin on: January 11, 2018, 02:36:54 AM
Seems to be a good one. It does not carry "Bitcoin" in its name like other Bitcoin forks. How does it compare to Bitcoin Cash? Much cheaper than Bitcoin Cash...
36  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can bitcoins become worthless? on: January 10, 2018, 06:33:55 AM
It is possible depending on how people use it and how governments regulate the crypto-currency.
37  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][SEM] Semux - Official Thread - 🚀 BTC Airdrop Now 🚀 on: January 10, 2018, 03:18:05 AM
There's something i donțt get it (there are more, but letțs stick to this one)
Why should i use my vote? I see only a disadvantage, i lose the fee (0.05) and i can't figure any advantages...

But if you vote a delegate in the pool

https://semux.info/pool

you will be rewarded every monday with the rate of (your votes/total votes * SEM mined)  Wink

So what you mean that I should vote for delegate has less total votes, and the more rewards I can receive.
Is it proportional to the number of coins? A delegator with more coins will receive more rewards (the more votes they get, the more rewards they will receive).
38  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][SEM] Semux - Official Thread - 🚀 BTC Airdrop Now 🚀 on: January 10, 2018, 02:53:15 AM
I have voted for a delegate for few weeks now and I have not received any reward. Do I have to do something extra like leaving the wallet running?
Delegates-and-Validators do not share rewards automatically. Make sure to join the pool or have an agreement with the owner of the validator to share the rewards before placing your votes.
thanks for the info
So semux2 doesn't share rewards. Do not vote for semux2 everyone!
Please share delegates that pay and don't pay here. So we know who to vote for.
thanks
Yes, I totally agree with your idea. Let share the list of delegates who never share their mined coins every week.
Yes, it is a good idea to share the list. IMO, delegator should share rewards with the delegates to receive. They can charge some percentage for fee, but shall not take 100% of coins mined.
39  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][SEM] Semux - Official Thread - 🚀 BTC Airdrop Now 🚀 on: January 09, 2018, 04:01:37 AM
Great news that the main net will launch on January 20, 2018. Looking forward to it. More validators and more rewards per block.
40  Economy / Speculation / Re: When will bitcoin hit $20,000 on: January 08, 2018, 03:42:24 PM
Bitcoin price touched $20,000 before. It may come back to that anytime.
