See below for what the coin looks like!

Yep, I think what people want is something to hold and look at - show their family and friends - give as a gift etc

I am not 100% sure on pricing at the moment, but I would be looking at 0.2-0.3BTC per coin

also I may decide to limit them to a certain quantity, e.g only produce 100

the next lot will be different coins, diff version, look diff - so overtime one can possibly have a collection that could be worth a good investment.

Thanks, I will be watching that listing!

Well the coins that are being produced, are embossed one side but plain the other side due to me originally thinking to have a hologram on their to give the coins some value.

But they will be sold without value to without a hologram on the back.

But if more interest is shown for embossing both sides, then I would be happy to create this Smiley

Picture should be up tomorrow!

Thank you for your comments guys,

Well I am not sure yet if the coin will have a value of BTC, as trust is a issue and is hard to earn.

I will either issue the coin as a novelty coin, or an optional to add BTC on it.

What sort of prices are you guys willing to pay for a coin for novelty purposes?

Thanks for the help advance

Hope you guys are ready

Creating physical bitcoins, allow us to have a tangible asset almost.

If it was all virtual then it would not be as popular as it is now...

People like to have something they can feel and hold, and this is were physical bitcoins come in Smiley

Now if someone who can help with the below:

How do I retrieve a private and public key?

Do I send the bitcoin to a address first, if so which address?

Is it best to have one address per bitcoin, or can I have many bitcoins under one address?

some help would be great!

Certainly does, if more interest is gathered from coins without value then this would be the route I would take.

Thanks for your comments guys.

OK, so the physical coin I am creating will be pretty much similar to the current Casascius coin.

However as Casascius only sell to reseller's it is harder for people to obtain a physical Bitcoin, with a value - especially in the UK.

So the coin I am creating will be mass produced, allowing more people to get their hands on a physical Bitcoin, either to:

1) Keep as an investment
2) Resell
3) Pass on as a gift

etc..

The coin will be sold with 1 BTC loaded on to it, however if there is interest for coins without value then these will also be sold.

The best way would be to have a public key on the outside, which will be associated with the private key inside so people can check online
what amount that key holds.

If they obviously peel the hologram, then it would reveal the private key however it would void the hologram as it leaves marks.

This will prevent counterfeiting.

Hey guys,

Im new on this forum, and looking to create my own physical bitcoin.

Now is this something that you guys would like? It would obviously rival the current cassascius bitcoin.

But some people just like some diversity.

It will be iron plated pure gold, with 1 btc loaded on.

Also they will be limited quantites, so only 5000 of one edition etc

What price would you expect to pay for a new coin like this?

I am new to this forum however I am fascinated with Bitcoin and would like to create my own coins.

Is there a tutorial or something that shows how to do this?

I would be looking to make the coin itself, along with the hologram which I can outsource to a company.

would appreciate if someone could point me in the right direction

Thanks
