23  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / The bull market is back? BTC is 57k on: May 01, 2021, 12:47:11 PM
BTC seems to terun to 60k again,

I made a big mistake of selling all cryptocurrencies at 50k last week.

Now my friend recommended me the Shield DAO, an upcoming ICO star project, and most of the KOLs I follow are recommending it.

Can I return to the market and invest in it. If you, how do you choose?

BTW, I have got $129k in this bull market, can I make more?  Smiley

24  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Shield Protocol - The First Decentralized Risk-free Perpetual Contract on: April 27, 2021, 05:15:54 AM
How am I supposed to understand this word “risk-fee”?
You can as well read the answer to question 1&2 for full insight on how shelf protocol perpetual contract works.
25  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Shield Protocol - The First Decentralized Risk-free Perpetual Contract on: April 27, 2021, 05:00:30 AM
risk free? How is it possible? What do you mean with unlimited upside potential and limited downside risk? How can I try on the testnet?
1&2) Shiled protocol is absolutely risk free because it uses a combination of a dual liquidity pool model, SLD (the native token of the platform), a decentralized brokerage system, and external liquidators to counteract the existing limitations. For in depth explanation you can read this medium post https://shield-dao.medium.com/introducing-the-first-risk-free-perpetual-contract-ca8331574ba7

3) Usually, with normal perpetuals, the downside can be unlimited in the case of an unfavorable price movement. However, thanks to Shield’s ingenuous funding-fee mechanism, your downside is limited only to the funding fee that you’ve to pay to keep your position open.

The protocol allows the users to open long or short positions with infinite upside potential, without delivery, in a fully trustless manner. The expected payoff is calculated as follows

4) The testnet is available here http://shieldex.io/

28  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Some priceless tokens. on: July 29, 2020, 06:02:31 PM
As a bounty hunter you will have many more worthless tokens in your wallet, you can't avoid or escape this, not all projects you promote or will promote will become successful

Exactly, having priceless token is inevitable especially if you are a bounty hunter. There might have been a time when you would have or will be involved in campaigns that the token you get at the end of the campaign will not be listed on exchanges. And one of the ways to minimise this, is to do proper research about every campaign one will be involved in
29  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it risky to invest in new crytpo coin/tokens? on: July 25, 2020, 07:51:04 PM
I personally don't buy the idea of investing in new coin because it is very risky and anything can happen to it. A new coin/token can experience growth as a result of pumping, when it becomes dumped this can lead to rapid reduction of price and may even cause the coin to have no value. So if someone wants to invest in any new coin at all, proper research about such coin is very necessary
30  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: No exchange? No Value! on: July 25, 2020, 07:32:54 PM
So I bought an altcoin called batcoin from a cryptocurrency exchange website. I even withdrew all my coins to an offline wallet, because I don't exactly trust exchange websites. However, the exchange it was listed is now gone, due to a hack.

So now I am stuck with coins that have no value.  Undecided

Cry Cry Cry Cry Cry Cry Cry Cry Cry Cry Cry Cry Cry Cry Cry

What do you think I should do now?

I have few tokens like this which I got from bounties I participated in, few years ago and there is nothing I could do than to leave them in the wallet because they have no value again and they are not something you can discard. So, the only thing you can do is to hold on to your coin and just leave it in your wallet hoping that someday it can come back to life

31  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it risky to invest in new crytpo coin/tokens??? on: July 24, 2020, 08:36:16 PM

There is no crypto investment that is not risky as many have said, what I always advise whoever wants to invest in new crypto to do is to do proper research about the coin/token such as the team behind it, the relevance and development of a project and some other things that could make a coin to be worth investing in
32  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bounty or Airdrop kill project? on: July 24, 2020, 07:55:36 PM
this depends on the developer. bounty and airdrop can make the price of a coin lower than the initial price due to mass sales. however, this should be included in the matter that needs to be resolved before running the project by his team. however, the survival of a project depends on the team. one of the factors that can make a project successful is the bounty and airdrop program. but, if without any plan, it can also make a project collapse.

I quite agree with your point. How can bounty and airdrops kill projects when they are the means through which investors get to know more about projects. Whether a project will succeed or fail still depends on the team behind it
33  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum remains the king of altcoins on: July 24, 2020, 08:01:19 AM
I don't see any altcoin taking the place of Ethereum any time soon because it has maintained this position for so long and it has not relent in doing so with major developments by the team behind it. It has also remained the original smart contract platform for many projects, although there are other platforms trying to beat this, like TRON, EOS and RSK
34  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How possible is it to make a living trading cryptocurrencies alone? on: July 23, 2020, 08:54:35 PM
It's very possible to make living in trading cryptocurrency but one major thing you must not forget is not to be greedy because it is very risky, and this is one of the reasons having the right skill of doing it is very important
35  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Does bounty still kind of worth on 2020? on: July 23, 2020, 07:39:16 PM
Yes, it is! But you have to work hard, participate in many various campaigns. I give you a good example! Today I checked my ETH wallets and I found out that one of the past campaigns - Jarvis send me 5000 tokens. Now I look and the value is after months of waiting around 1000 dollars!  Cool

1000 dollars! That sounds too good but it's very rare to come across bounties that give reward that can worth that amount these days. Although, there are still some that pays if one is deligent enough to find them
36  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Who said that ICOs are dead? on: July 23, 2020, 07:00:35 PM
Wow... I have never heard about this project.

As per whether ICOs are dead or not, ICOs are  never dead just that IEOs are mostly used for projects these days due to its preference by many investors
37  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to know if the project is fake? on: July 22, 2020, 02:56:38 PM
I just make a basic research but mostly I would just check the ANN thread in the forum.
We are in a very active forum, lots of members cared for the community, so once the project listed is scam, it would certainly receive a negative tag from DT members.

I agree with you and I also do this. Other things I do is to check the authenticity of a project whitepaper, their social media for updates and the team members whether they are genuine or not

38  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which coin do you trust, BNB or ETH? on: July 22, 2020, 01:52:19 PM

Both coin has a very great potential and they are good to invest in but, Ethereum has proven to be a better coin over the time from projects, to adoption and usage by a very large community. I prefer Ethereum to Binance coin
39  Economy / Economics / Re: Covid-19 effect on your country's economy!!! on: July 19, 2020, 01:32:13 PM
We all already know that most part of the world has been affected by covid 19 and so my country has not been left out. Large population of people in my country has lost their livelihoods as they depend on their daily activities for sustenance due to issue of restrictions in movement from one place to another

The sector of my country's economy going down day by day is Education sector and this is as a result of negligence of our leaders as they refused to invest properly in Education
40  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Alt coins worth buying on: July 18, 2020, 12:04:40 AM
There are many coins you can invest in. All you need to do is proper research of whichever one decide to go for and like many have rightly said, the best thing is to do is to pick from the top alt coins
