Hardware wallets is not the safest because they can become corrupted and there is nothing that you can do if the company that you got it from went out of business.
can you explain further? I have ledger and if they go out of business it still works. Or do i need coninously updates? That statement is simply untrue. The device and the wallet software that you connect it to (you don't need to use Ledger's software either) do not require Ledger to be in business for it to function. You just won't get any software updates and if a security vulnerability is found, it may not be fixed. Otherwise the device works fine without Ledger still existing. The protection against device corruption is the 24 word seed that you wrote down when you first made the wallet. It follows the BIP 39 standard and private keys are derived using the BIP 32 and BIP 44 standards, so you can use that 24 word seed with any supporting wallet software or hardware wallet and be able to access your coins. There is no need for the company to be in business and you can still access your coins even if your device is corrupted, destroyed, damaged, or lost. thank you for clearing that up

I think Request Network has a great potential. Marketcap only ~36 Million. Backed by Y-Combinator.
$36M is huge for an ICO. How come do they need so much money ??!!? in my opinion it is not. Every half decent project gets a market cap of 200 Million after a few months of trading. 125 Mio $ like Status are well exagerrated. But 36 Mio $ are really not much if you are running a small software company. And most of the ICOs nowadays collect sums between 80 and 100 Millions. In my opinion it is the opposite of huge for an ICO. for me the sweet-spot is $10 to $20MM A sw company does not need more to launch a project. i think you cannot generalize. It depends on the product, the roadmap, the field of technology.

This thread should be deleted, not cool at all.
agreed.

Why you need for low hard caps? thats not make sense for me. If it has low hardcap that means its a small budget project.
if a low marketcap project is successfully it has much more potential to go up. Marketcap is one of the most important things to consider. Look at Bancor and Status, both raised 9digit sums. Both are currently trading below ICO-price.

I would not do that. A dog is as loyal as it gets. My dogs are part of my family, the emotional value is not to be measured in numbers.

there are rumors that OMG is going to be added to Bithump at Friday. Before the ZCash Listing there were similiar rumors and it did hold true. Monero and ZCash both mooned after the listing. But i can't confirm if true or not.

OmiseGo is already up 30000% since ico. It is really hard to pump this coin, and they are working with golem, the biggest scam in history. Bunch of students did money grab and they didn’t deliver...
it is 3000%

Hello, can someone explain what exactly replay protection is and how it works in detail? thanks in advance.

very good input from OP. But i can't help to think that you are a little biased. There are some good projects, altough i agree that 98% are not substantial. But you're assumption of Kyber was wrong, i cleared that already up and Reuqest Network and Bitpay are fundamentally different.
