21  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] ROCKZ - IS THE WORLD’S MOST BULLETPROOF CRYPTOCURRENCY on: November 15, 2018, 01:57:03 PM
You wrote. "Tether is the best-known solution to this problem. Rapid growth and market capitalization of more than $ 2 billion. Demonstrate huge demand for such stable coins. Nevertheless, Tether and other similar coins with assets have many drawbacks that ROCKZ does not have. " But Tether is an intra-exchange coin, the rate of which is the same as that of the dollar. Your coin will also be tied to certain exchanges and the course will be like a dollar?

at any given point, 1 RKZ = 1 CHF.  for example, if you buy 1000 RKZ from exchange it will be worth of 1000 CHF, and if you want to redeem the token you will visit our platform, deposit the tokens and exchange to 1000 CHF. then you can withdraw to your own bank account, or in future once we issue credit cards you will be able to spend the RKZ directly.
We are also working to integrate RKZ in payment solutions so it will be used as normal cash.

I hope this makes it clear.

Does the said equivalent of token in CHF already stored and locked by the said bank account?

ROCKZ will be minting and burning on a daily basis based on  clients' demand. CHF will be backed in reserves before issuing ROCKZ on a daily basis.

In other words, lets say you'll open 1,000 ROCKZ for sale on Tuesday, you'll have 1,000 CHF locked on Monday? In other words, once someone buy the token the exact same amount of CHF will be locked?

Once someone deposit the cash, only then we create ROCKZ.

Stable coins, stable coins, stable coins all around. The ICO time is gone, and now it's time for stable coins...

Well CHF is rather stable coin by itself, so this might be very interesting indeed...

Main advantage, you will be the beneficial owner of the cash.

25  Economy / Scam Accusations / Initiative Q is Going Viral. We Have Concerns. on: November 04, 2018, 05:20:31 PM
Almost everyone has seen some Initiative Q news come across their social media feeds recently. Saar Wilf’s Initiative Q says it will be “tomorrow’s payment network.” In order to encourage the mass adoption needed to succeed, Wilf has started a viral social media campaign that leads off with this:

“Interested in a free $130,000 lottery ticket, which I estimate has a better than 1% chance to win?”

Check out the full review, very interesting: Initiative Q is Going Viral. We Have Concerns.

Scam Alert
This ICO came to our attention as we were investigating projects which are using the default app image from their website template. Like many other scams, CFM Coin is presenting the template's image as an image of their project’s mobile app.

Other large warning signs are found all over their website.
At the time of our investigation, the website contained empty placeholders, some of which still said “lorem ipsum.” Furthermore, the website contained multiple links that didn’t work.

A final additional major warning sign is the lack of a team.

28  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [Ubex falling apart after token distribution] on: October 03, 2018, 01:12:15 PM
I saw their ads everywhere. I would never invest a single cent into something that has "moon soon and exchanges soon" on their main banner on Coinmarketcap. This market is total madness, people get burned every day. Show me at least one ICO which actually did go up in value during the last several months?

Luckily I saved these banners Smiley
I bet if any of these brands see this they wont be happy Smiley

29  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [Ubex falling apart after token distribution] on: October 03, 2018, 01:03:28 PM
Why is this thread on scam accusations it should be on the altcoin section, people might think that this is a scam accusation, they are already in the market and they are being traded in an open arena what is the accusations on Ubex, about the dumping it is a sad reality that keeps on happening

I think Astargath answered your question.
Beside the fact that they were selling tokens on the ICO while already trading on X5 higher than ICO price.
They didnt reflect the fact the tokens are locked until ICO ends or hard cap reached. it was not presented in clean way on the website or on the dashboard. read the review that was published.

Token Dumping

Reported at Cointelligence on the 21th of August Ubex Token Sale seems foggy

The token distribution is being handled in batches, some users got the tokens before others!
Yesterday before the token distribution started somehow they were able to pump up the token value on exchange 100%!

32  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: STABLECOIN: comparison and opportunities on: September 28, 2018, 09:49:26 AM
The term stablecoin refers to any cryptocurrency coin or token pegged to an asset with a relatively stable price, such as fiat currencies or gold. A stablecoin can be under control of a central entity, such as Tether (USDT), or a Decentralized Autonomous Organization (DAO), such as Dai, a stablecoin which is issued on the Ethereum network. Nubits is another stablecoin which is partly controlled by a DAO, but is also under control by a central authority, representing a hybrid issuance model.

A stablecoin is typically backed by a reserve asset that has the exact equal value of the coin/token. The backup reserve can be a fiat currency, a precious metal (e.g. gold), or a cryptocurrency. The issuer, whether it is a central entity, or under control of a DAO, should only issue an amount of stablecoins equal to the backup reserve they own. New coins can be issued only when the backup reserve grows.

34  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is a stablecoin? on: September 28, 2018, 09:21:12 AM
The prime function of a stablecoin is stability.

In these times of volatility, people are looking for a stablecoin because they want to be sure its value tomorrow will be predictable and close to today’s value.

This criterion favors fiat-backed tokens as they will track the price of the underlying asset rather than other digital assets and therefore most of them are easy to value... for example Tether and their cryptocurrency USDT pegged to the US Dollar.

But it was recently announced that Tether received subpoena from the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC). Would you agree there is room for improvement? What other stablecoins do you know/support?

FAQ

How does our rating system work?
You can find a detailed explanation of our rating system HERE.

What is the meaning of an ICO profile score?
An ICO’s profile score represents the informed opinion of our rating board, based on their research. It is not a guarantee of the success or failure of the project, merely an analysis of all the available facts.

What is the meaning of the risk score?
The Cointelligence risk score is not an indicator for the project’s quality, but rather it is an indicator of the probability that the project will or will not be realized. You can read more about the risk score HERE.

Who rates the ICOs?
Our team of crypto experts rate each ICO. Each expert is a long-standing and well-regarded member of the crypto community. In order to help ensure that our ratings stay impartial and objective, we do not disclose the the identities of our experts.
If you would like to apply to be a crypto expert on our team, please contact us at info@Cointelligence.com.

Can an ICO pay for a better rating?
No! Never!

How can an ICO ask for a re-evaluation or an update of their ICO score?
Please contact our research team at info@Cointelligence.com in order to be re-evaluated. Keep in mind that a score will change only if the ICO has improved its quality in the different fields listed in the rating system. The score is a reflection of the state of the ICO and in order to improve it, the ICO must improve as well.

What are the actions Cointelligence takes in order to protect users from scams and fraudulent ICOs?
At Cointelligence, we follow our own proprietary method focused on deeply researching the ICOs documents, team, and vision. Our method consists of:
1. Website and Whitepaper – We go through an ICO’s website and whitepaper, making sure the ICO has both items and that they include the information regarding the ICO’s vision as well as method of realization. During our research we look for warning signs that may indicate a fraudulent ICO, such as plagiarism, an illogical concept, no long-term plan, or use cases that do not align with the main idea.
2. Data validation – We make sure the data on the site, in the whitepaper, in social media posts, and in online publications is accurate, original and valid. We also look for a wide range of warning signs, including:
  • Fake pictures of team members
  • Unrealistic or unchanging values (e.g. amount raised, timers, bonuses, and sale stage)
  • Fake wallet address or email address
  • Censored, closed, or minimal responses from the ICO’s team to the public’s questions on social media and online forums
  • Falsely claiming to be traded on main exchanges
  • Having a non-existing smart contract (e.g. on Etherscan for Ethereum-based tokens) or an open-source project that has empty repositories, or no repositories, on GitHub

3. Team authenticity – A real ICO must have a team of employees with active social media accounts that details the team members’ experience in past projects. The team must also be willing to perform a KYC process with us. The biggest warning sign here is an ICO with an anonymous team that have no other sign of existence. It is very important that teams are researched in order to learn about their past experience, recommendations they hold in the crypto community, and examples of their work on their social media accounts. Red flags are raised when advisors have irrelevant professional backgrounds or when investors who invest very small amounts of money appear on the main page of the ICO’s website.

4. Economically Reasonable – We make sure that the financial model of the ICO is reasonable and logical. Here, we look for the following warning signs:
  • Disproportionate distribution of tokens, mining, or earnings that lean toward the development and management teams
  • No hard cap, a very large difference between the soft cap and the hard cap, or no refund guarantee
  • A promise of success or other guarantee as a part of the ICO

How can I learn more to protect myself from investing in a scam ICO?
There is a lot you can do to protect yourself from scam ICOs. Read more about what you should look out for in the article we published HERE.

How can I report a scam?
If you believe a certain ICO to be a scam, please contact our research team at info@Cointelligence.com.
38  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: 💥🚀[ANN][TGE] iOlite - Anyone can write smart contracts [ANN][TGE]🚀 on: September 05, 2018, 09:35:50 PM
iOlite — Smart Contracts Made Easy

The iOlite Foundation is a non-profit organization which aims to bring smart contracts technology to the masses by bridging on technological gaps existing today preventing the mass adoption of smart contracts hence making them available to any end user — technological or not.

Smart Contract

A smart contract is similar to any other contract, a voluntary and mutual agreement between two or more parties stating certain conditions the parties agree to apply between them. Let’s take for example a sales agreement: Bob agrees to give Alice $100 and Alice agrees to give Bob a nice watch in return. In this contract, the applying conditions agreed upon are conditional and similar to any IFTTT (If This Then That) statement. When both conditions are met, the transfer will be executed. But, what if one out of two parties disagrees to fulfill the agreement? This is where a smart contract differs from a conventional contract. A smart contract exists on blockchain as a coded application which allows it not only to state negotiated conditions but also self-execution, verification, immutability and inherited enforcement.

Problem

At the current stage of blockchain technology, only tech literates can deploy blockchain based smart contracts. The mainstream platform for deploying blockchain based smart contracts on the Ethereum platform (ERC20) is using a new programming language called Solidity. Being a new language, Solidity’s smart contracts adoption level is not as wide as expected, as there are only a handful of programmers mastering the language so far. Users who are unfamiliar with programming or blockchain technology in general are also limited with scarce alternatives, leaving the potential of smart contracts concealed.

Solution

The iOlite Foundation has developed the Fast Adaptation Engine (FAE™) to make smart contracts easy and accessible for everyone. The FAE™ receives as input any text in any programming or natural language, then migrates it to any designated machine programming language. For example; you can type a text in English or any other language and the FAE™ will convert it into a coding language of your choice. Various plugins and APIs supporting Natural Language Programming (NLP) will enable writing smart contracts using free text.

Use Cases

The first beneficiaries of FAE™ will be R&D oriented communities publishing products which utilize smart contract benefits without in-depth knowledge of Solidity or ERC20 framework, thanks to iOlite’s plugins for Microsoft’s Visual Studio, Linux’s Apache, and other Integrated Development Environments.

Other non-technological- industries will follow in joining the platform. This includes legal and insurance companies, trade and finance establishments, banks, and many others.

The Future

iOlite’s end goal is to increase interaction with blockchain technologies and smart contracts through eliminating the need for a specific programing language to create a smart contract. We want to bridge the gap that exists between the blockchain space and the rest of the world. It’s an exciting challenge to make mass adoption of blockchain technologies possible, and that’s exactly what iOlite stands for.
