21  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Bitcoin Candy : Help Bitcoin (Cash) Great Again on: January 11, 2018, 02:00:16 AM
Hello All,

This is weird but let me ask...if I have only 0.15 BCC then will I get the Bitcoin candy? in the same ratio...

I mean for 1 BCC they give 1000 Candy...if I have 0.15 then will I get 150 bitcoin candy?

Thank you!

Regards,
Hanumant

Yes, you are right, you will get 150 bitcoin candy.

Lol, one month vacation.

I want to have a one month vacation too. Having an exchange brings too much profit you can go vacation for a whole month Cheesy

They have used my coins to pay for the vacation...Stay away from this exchange!

Can anyone help here? I cant get my wallet to log in.

I get "Cannot connect to /nxt-proxy No openAPI peers found"

Anyone else having this issue?

Install the full node client....The light version does not work well and you will always get the reported message.
By installing the full node client does this automatically make your computer a full node?
Or are their extra commands you need to do?

This looks like the right project for me to get a node online as I have alot of ram and cpu power is just sitting idle.
Might as well put them to good use wouldn't you agree?

If there is a tutorial on youtube showing the steps involved in getting one online that would be appreciated.
Thanks.

Just install Ardor client 2.0.10 from www.jelurida.com (do not select lite mode and testnet during install) and you are set. Please also note, node starting from scratch could take some time, do not interrupt process.

Yep, moreover, you need to have at least 1000 ARDR to enable forging...Thanks for securing the network!

25  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][GNT] Golem Project - The world’s most powerful supercomputer on: January 02, 2018, 11:01:52 PM
Whats the cheapest way to purchase GNT ? I thought about transferring ETH from coinbase to poloniex, purchase GNT on poloniex and then move it to myetherwallet but I fear the fees, I try to avoid paying more than 10% in fees for the whole process.

Please let me know if you have any recommendations Wink

@nancybeee : It is built on Eth blockchain, I don't think that it could be the world's computer but it could at least be useful to a lot of corporations, governments, scientists an so on... In fact, it is a super computer, it uses calculation ressources but it is not about storage. It became difficult to miniaturize CPU and space is limited while companies/industries need to deal with more and more data, so Facebook could use this to process and analyse the big amounts of data they are collecting for example.

Go ahead with your idea, the fees are small on Poloniex. I think I paid 1 GNT to withdraw the token from Polo. You can also verify the fees before making the withdrawal. Your ETH fee should be low too (I don't know Coinbase but I did what you plan to do from MyEtherWallet - Polo - Exodus).

How did you access your Ardor tokens?

All of them are on my NXT account or better say on the NXT asset exchange. Is there a transition process?

Or did you just use your NXT account seed to log in in the corresponding Ardor account? I guess if they both share the same code base the same seed should create the same addresses on both platforms, right?

You need to install the new ARDR wallet, the old ARDR asset is no longer valid within the NXT wallet. This is part of the snapshot that occurred December 28th.

Thanks, I already installed the new Ardor wallet. Do I need to login to Ardor wallet with the same seed as I did on my Nxt wallet to access the Ardor tokens? It confuses me a little bit. That is why I ask if both softwares creating the same address with the same seed.

I never really understood the forging thing. Ill have to do some reading.
Love the project, but are there any particular resources to check out about forging and such?

Simply said, forging means that you participate in securing the network providing some CPU power/RAM from your device. Transaction fees will be shared among forgers that can solve a block.

Use the same address to login and your paraphrase is the same. The NXT prefix needs to be replaced by ARDOR, that's all.

How is your answer related to my question Huh Actually, forging is much easier to understand than mining in my opinion.

I tried to open Ardor several times today and each time I was not able to access my account via light client and the message showed up "Cannot connect to /nxt-proxy No openAPI peers found". Are there really no openAPI peers available or do I need to set up something?

The light client does not work well, just install the full node. It will take less than 30 seconds to synch the network.

I've just downloaded the Ardor wallet and am trying to connect using my old nxt address but I keep getting the error message "cannot connect to nxt-proxy. No openAPI peers found". anyone got any ideas how I can fix it?

Thanks in advance

Some of us add problems with the light client version. Try the full node version and see if it helps.

I enabled forging in my ARDR wallet. I don't plan to make money with this but want to contribute to secure the network while I'm working on my computer.
Does it make sense and will it work if I use my computer 2 hours/everyday?
It is secure to keep the server up and running all the time?

Thank you.

How do you know for sure that you are on the mainnet and not the testnet?
I'm asking because the checkbox under "Device Settings" was checked even tough I specified that I wanted to use the mainnet during the wallet installation process...I have been able to send 1 ARDR to someone on this forum, so it must be OK.
33  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: | ARDOR | Scalable Blockchain-as-a-Service Platform | Proof of Stake on: January 01, 2018, 05:55:40 PM
I reinstalled everything as full node and it works now. I received 5 IGNIS from you and send you back 1 ARDR. The minimum fee for the transaction was 1 ARDR on my side. I'm happy to help you and test the new wallet, I was a bit anxious there after my initial problems...  Grin
Thanks, pal!
The fee is unexpectedly high in my opinion, but maybe that is because it was first transaction on my ARDR address.
I managed to create exchange order with fee only 0.5 ARDR. I'm also exploring my wallet and Ardor as a whole  Smiley

No problem. I also submitted an order to buy some IGNIS from the exchange and the fee was 0.5 ARDR.
34  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: | ARDOR | Scalable Blockchain-as-a-Service Platform | Proof of Stake on: January 01, 2018, 05:24:36 PM
I tried to buy some IGNIS with my ARDOR on the coin exchange at a fixed price.
Where can I see that my request is still pending?
Where can I cancel my order?

I tried to send 1 ARDOR to myself but it does not seem to work either...and it has been done 15 minutes ago.

Pick Open Orders in the menu - there you can see and cancel your orders.

I reinstalled the wallet in full node and resubmitted my order. I can see it now on "Open Orders", thank you.

Can't believe I can't buy 1 ARDR from anywhere! I'd gladly bought it from an exchange but ARDR deposits/withdrawals there are currently unavailable. So the only hope is on you.

Check your private message!  Grin

I tried to send another ARDR to myself from my light wallet but it does not seem to work (no fee deducted, nothing in the transaction history and no error message).

From time to time, the green icon with a lightning on it turns yellow with an exclamation point...

I just installed the ARDR wallet on my Windows 10 platform. It seems to work fine so far. I just used my old NXT address to log in. The new prefix will be ARDOR- instead of NXT- but it works.

Gentlemen, who can sell me a small amount of ARDR (0.2 for example) for 2 IGNIS to start trading? Send me in a private message your wallet ID, I send you IGNIS first. Thanks in advance.

Did you verify that 0.2 ARDR is enough to start trading? Don't you need at least 1 ARDR?
