21  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Best DeFi Projcet 2021-2022 on: November 24, 2021, 02:43:21 PM
In your opinion, what is the DeFi project to keep on radar and study and which DeFi projects do you consider new gems and have you already bought them?

I'm bullish about a new DeFi called wapswap. They are doing something different from the regular defi projects. Most of the Defis just launches, promises unrealistic yields, lets its token crash with farming and launch on a different platform. Wapswap is going to maintain the price of it's token the same on different platforms. And comparing it with the popular max supplied defit token from Biswap, Wapswap has a max supply of just 21 million while BSW is maxxed at 700 million.
22  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you think it is safe to buy coins that are only listed on one small exchange? on: November 23, 2021, 05:03:39 PM
I want to start investing in early projects, and I want to ask if you buy coins on small exchanges? Is it safe? And to what extent are such exchanges protected from hacker attacks?

I am interested in such coins as nwc, cdt and mana, what do you think of these projects? Should you buy these coins?

If you have options available, I'd always recommend a popular exchange or DEFIs. I have personally went through a lot of unnecessary hassle while trying to save a small fee using a less known exchanges. They don't necessarily be a scam but most of them don't have a solid functionality and if you encounter any problems, it's hard to fix it.
And if available, go with DEFIs, nowadays most of the coins have a pegged DEFI counterpart which makes it easier to purchase and trade any popular coins coins in DEFIs.

24  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: China Has Ordered All Financial Institutions To Cut Crypto -Related Services on: June 25, 2021, 05:24:14 PM
Among all the backsteps China have taken, closing miners is a good boost for the future of crypto as the world was getting wary of a lot of hash from every mineable coin going to China. Though they would prevent financial institutions to provide crypto related service, crypto would  still flourish in China. Not even the Chinese government can effectively block crypto. And for an oppressive regime like china, crypto could be the only way out for a lot of population.
25  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will BNB become the king of all coins on: June 25, 2021, 01:03:00 PM
BNB is now a hot topic thanks to the success of binance exchange and the Binance smart chain. Both of these are leader of their own sector but they both are far from perfect. Both of these projects feels like an intermediate phase between the transition. Binance a bridge between lousy centralized exchange to fluid decentralized exchanges. And BSC is just has temporary importance when developers are accustomed with Ethereum and Ethereum fee is high. Ethereum itself is not the final solution.
26  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How do I convert USDT on metamask in Erc20 to BNB smart chain on BEP 20 side? on: June 23, 2021, 09:47:44 PM
Try binance's bridge. It's like a decentralized spot trading extension of bianance dex.
https://www.binance.org/en/bridge

Just select USDT (Ethereum network) as From and BNB (Binance smart chain network) as to. It gives limited options for conversion but would work best for your needs. There are several other such bridges that converts coins and tokens from equivalent or different tokens of other platforms.

28  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Red crypto market today on: June 22, 2021, 03:38:45 PM
The funny thing is whenever bitcoin goes down, it pushes the alts further below and when it corrects back, it don't allow alts to gain as much. Hence, increasing the dominance in both movements. Bitcoin is nearly back to 32K but many alts are half of their price as last time bitcoin was in 32K. The bitcoin dominance has rose again to 47%.
29  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto - place where promise is worth more than product on: June 22, 2021, 04:26:13 AM
Regarding Tron, already over 70% of it's total supply is in circulation. It has a total supply of 100B which is large enough to be readily available but small enough to be in demand. The transaction fees are almost free. Though they are not as popular for high yielding (and probably unstable) DEFI farms, they still have a good volume of DEFI, Dapps and games. I utilized this dip to buy some of it.
30  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Have you given up on airdrop? on: June 20, 2021, 02:25:13 PM
I had given them already but now there are a few I follow.
Airdrop calendar from coinmarketcap presents some high paying airdrops just for joining telegram and retweeting. Not everyone earn from them as they have a maximum participants number and they do a lucky draw to select among a larger pool of participants.
Airdrop from popular bounty manager's telegram group are mostly high rewarding and real ones.
Airdrops from defi on twitter are actually high paying. Some defi rewards a certain number by lucky draw while some distributes the stated rewards in ratio.
31  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto and energy consumption on: June 19, 2021, 01:10:04 PM
Aside from using clean renewable energy, there should also be efficient use of energy. Little/zero energy should go to waste, in my opinion. I think this was solved by satoshi with him suggesting that heat from miners  be used for other purpose like heating homes/buildings in cold environments.
I think we should be seriously looking for ways to put the heat generated into good use,if it has not been done already.

That idea is close to impossible if I am not mistaken as Bitcoin is pretty much solely mined by gigantic data centers filled up till under the roof with dedicated mining hardware. They even use systems to reduce the heat in order to increase the hardware's longevity. I don't see a way to canalize the heat in a reasonable manner to homes such that they can use it for heating.

Even the hydropower supplied mining farms in deep hills of Sichuan are being shut down by the Chinese government. Though bitcoin has found its way to some European nation with green renewable energy. I don't think it's possible to shift from POW to POS for bitcoin. So, for it to stay, they should promote mining through renewable energy. POW is one of the trusted way of securing the network.
32  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How many scammers have you funded by putting your money in? on: June 18, 2021, 05:09:15 PM
Would be about $500 for pure scams. I have lost nearly the double with wrong address or lost private keys/mnemonic. It all sums to improving yourself. These scammers feeds till you are not cautious or smart enough. Be smart, think twice before sending, using a wallet or accessing it from different devices. Don't download what you are not sure of. Keep your crypto device and or browser separate from your regular using device or browsing browser.
33  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Show me your biggest gains! on: June 18, 2021, 01:52:56 PM
I still lack any boastable gains. But recently I've entered Defi ecosystem with a couple of thousands dollars and if I really get what they promise, I'd be doubling my investments in two months. I don't know how it's feasible but many people seems to be doubling their investment this way for over a year now. And I'm already late into the hype.
34  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Thoughts on DIVI...? on: June 17, 2021, 03:45:54 PM
I've seen quite a lot of people talk about DIVI in the replies.

They are saying it recently got listed on KuCoin but I've seen a lot of you saying it's a scam coin... thoughts?
scam coins? how did you know that DIVI is a scam coin?, you made a big mistake mate,
DIVI is a good project, look at their latest tweet, DIVI partnership with Hummingbot,
of course this will increase their Fundamental value, adding USDT pairs on Kucoin is also a very good move,
because Their marketcap has grown more and more and is able to occupy the top 300 Coinmarketcap, it's amazing

I think he's talking about how much shilling the coin is getting over in this forum. Specially from brand new and Newbie ids.
I have researched a bit about the coin itself and it looks promising but don't know if these shriller accounts are just some fans of DIVI, multi accounts of some large investors or paid trolls from the project itself. DIVI seems more like a community coin and I don't believe the project is directly involved in it.
35  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Meme coins have no use case on: June 17, 2021, 02:12:58 PM
If you think about real world use case, that might be true. But we are getting a completely different financial and virtual environment within the internet. We are making possession and capital through NFTs and crypto. Utility tokens help other crypto activities to prosper. Meme coins are exciting and trendy. Use case arises when you believe you are using it.
36  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Pancakeswap pools or farm?? on: June 16, 2021, 11:55:08 AM
Another benefit of pool is you are staking for the coin of your choice and not for cake. And the options of stable coins getting more than 6% a month just for staking is great. I am not sure how they achieve in providing such but it's one of the highest I've seen on DEFI or any centralized saving wallets.
Farm would come better if you believe in both the coins of the pair of choice.
37  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it still okay to fake kyc in 2021? on: June 16, 2021, 09:50:27 AM
Asking people for Passport pics and ID no or SSN for KYC is a normal practice but it has more disadvantage than advantages. Companies and projects should come up with innovative ideas to know their customers or collect the data that would help them and law enforcement agencies without putting risk for the users. Providing your real KYC should be avoided as much as possible.

39  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Be Prepared for the big dump. on: May 19, 2021, 06:28:59 PM
I panic sold all of my coins and tokens at loss and all I'm hoping is a market crash so that I'd be able to buy selected coins for cheap.
The bad luck always follows me and whenever I decide to buy a coin, and do buy, it crashes. I was maintaining a 50 50% of stable coin to crypto ratio but just jumped in all to crypto since last week to find one of the deadliest dump.
40  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Musk isn't making that money alone on: May 17, 2021, 01:44:21 PM
What Elon Musk said is he's reversing the decision of Tesla taking bitcoin as a form of payment for car purchase. And the reason he gave is bitcoin mining is an energy intensive process and use of bitcoin would promote fossil fuel use. He don't need to say everything but his worlds speaks his mind that he thinks bitcoin is not the future as it requires a lot of energy which could have been used for something different.
