To be honest I didn't think back then that Bancor was a great project (during ICO), but now that I see it in action I think that is a great project, it provides continuos liquidity to tokens like swarm, which without it has a very low liquidity because isn't listed on many exchanges and in the future a lot of tokens will be locked in funds I agree. I also think that Bancor will have a fundamental role once blockchain services are fully operational. For example, you can imagine Swarm utilizing Filecoin in order to host its invest platform in a decentralized way. In order to pay for the hosting in $FIL the Swarm foundation can use $SWM that it collects through fees on the platform and automatically convert to $FIL through Bancor under the hood. Love the project, but I am confused about the SRC20 token. How is this differentiated from a typical ERC20? Will the SWM token be changed into a SRC20, or will there be an airdrop of the new token to all SWM holders? Is SRC20 compatible with ERC20 blockchain?
Very good questions. The SRC20 is a standard for security tokens that Swarm is developing. It extends the ERC20 standard by adding different parameters to it in order to behave as a security token. For example a SRC20 token can check if the wallet is KYC compliant or it can hold properties about the asset it represents. The SWM is a utility token that will be used as payment for gas, reward and voting in the Swarm blockchain, where the SRC20 tokens live. You can invest SWM, ETH or BTC into any Investment Opportunity (IO) on the Swarm Invest Platform ( https://invest.swarm.fund). Once the IO is funded you will receive a SRC20 in proportion to your investment. The airdrop will be of SWM tokens, based on the amount of SWM you hold in your platform's wallet. SRC20 is not compatible with the Ethereum blockchain because it is a different standard, but we have plans to enable compatibility by wrapping SRC20 in an ERC20. When this happens the SRC20 tokens will only have the properties of the ERC20 token and will not be considered a security token on the Ethereum blockchain—users won't be able to receive dividends from the ERC20 equivalent. Price dropped to pre-ico level, people seem to be happy to get their money back while no new buyers willing to buy, not a good sign something needs to be done to lift this coin, hype is non existent atm
I can list a few factors which are keeping the price down
-non functioning webiste, big factor, members should be able to log in
-dex exchange(not many people like using it), manual copy/paste of ncl identifier required,(coinexchange should solve the problem, it is popular choice for lending coins)
-no youtubers creating buzz
The daily price fluctuations are irrelevant. We are happy to see those who want to take profits and get out sell. But we are not going to hit their asks but rather let them sell lower so we can buy cheaper. Once the early profit takers are gone and those interested in the project and holding price is going to climb. We are sticking to the plan and timeline.My coins are locked up for a year. So I am in a rush to make this a success correctly, not by next week. Marketing when the lending program is open is way more effective. That will bring huge volume. NCL will be listed on coinmarketcap and Waves. Early adopters will reap the biggest reward. But those interested in a pump and dump are in the wrong project. 100% agree here. Daily fluctuations are irrelevant on the long term. If you have been into crypto long enough you know that if the project has legs, it will run. There will always be weak hands. |

I was hoping that along with the road map will be a new exchange and the price will rise It's because Swarm is based in the U.S. and in order for them to be compliant with the regulations in the U.S. they cannot talk about listing in exchanges. I'm sure there will be no problem listing in exchanges once the platform is up. Once there is a platform, even we as a community can start pushing for this. As a matter of fact, we as a community, could start trying to figure out how to put SWM in exchanges. Remember that we don't need to depend on the core team for things like this. Of course some exchanges charge a huge amount, maybe all of us could pool some BTC together and it would be a small price to pay for a good exchange. |
