21  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Launching the Antminer L3+, World's Most Powerful and Efficient Litecoin Miner on: November 07, 2017, 03:42:59 AM
Why are people using static ip when they have several machines? I got 9 machines and the internal ip address never changes from for example 10.0.0.44.
What kind of issue can occur with dynamic like I'm using?

Don't use UPS when you order from bitmain, my 6 L3+ have disappeared/been stolen by UPS in Oslo, Norway . I got my PSU.

I just had a dead board on one of my antminer D3, but it was quite hard noticing the problem at awesome miner, is it possible have it automatically marked in red when one machine is working substantial under its average hash rate?

I got all xxxx xxx on one of my boards too, a  online reboot fixed the problem for now.

I'm using a L3+ on prohashing and I'm getting 450-460 mh/s and not 500 mh/s, is this normal? I'm in Europe, if that matters.
26  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Launching the Antminer L3+, World's Most Powerful and Efficient Litecoin Miner on: October 16, 2017, 07:45:23 PM
Are these numbers normal? Both l3+:
Machine 1
Accepted: 450
Rejected: 9
Hw errors: 31
Temp 48c

Machine 2:
Accepted : 642
Rejected : 16
Hw error: 18
Temp 46c

How can I improve this numbers?  I'm using nicehash (European), I'm in Europe Smiley

Thx for the info. Noticed that the payout is about the same with nicehash too. Just worry that with this kind of drop in profitability, soon the L3+ won’t be able to cover the running cost.

Don't forget the tx-fees you pay @ nicehash for the regular transactions and the cashing out. It's around 2 USD every day if you receive daily payouts to your nh-wallet.

The fee should be 2.2% total if you first get paid out to your nice hash wallet (2%) and then 0.2% to transfer the amount to your external wallet.

it needs the money wired --

and it keeps canceling every 30 minutes of course --  Shocked

just thinking n deciding

wondering if still worth grabbing the L3 ??

any advice ...

I'm waiting on 2 d3 now ...

thx my friends

respect

I would only buy the L3 if I hated money. Price with shipping and psu is close to 2400, and if you get taxed or if there is an import fee it will be even less lucrative. With 8 usd  a day profit it will take 300 days to just break even, and 8 usd a day on average might be optimistic 3-4 months into the future with all the new L3s being sold by bitmain.

When will be possibility  to make some new orders and when expect shipping ? Smiley

Only bitmain knows that. Shipping will be sometime in November no matter which machine you order.

Thanks for the replies, cat6 etc have been bought.

I have another question about cooling.

I'm going to build a box about 2×2×1 meter where I will make holes for each machine to blow its hot air.

Which material shoulf i use for building the box that is cheap and fire retardant?
Which exhaust fan is great? I want to able to have 40 machines. I will mount the exhaust fan as high as possible on one of the walls
What kind of hose is used to transport the hot air from the exhaust fan to the outside window?
Do I need an intake air fan also? It seems to me that if the exhaust fan can handle 8000 cfm for example and you only have 6000 cfm from the machines then a hole on the bottom of the opposite wall would be enough since the exhaust fan will extract the extra air required from the hole at the opposite wall.. I'm only using logic, I have zero experience with cooling.
I'm located in northern Europe, so the air entering the box through the hole will be cold.

Sorry about the rambling; )
31  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Mining cables, router suggestions? on: August 22, 2017, 04:02:19 PM
I'm setting up a small farm with L3+ and D3 machines(I have ordered 7 now and I'm going to order 12-13 more machines soon), and I can't find the answers to these questions:

1, Which cat6 cables are people using to avoid interference and crosstalk between devices? So many different cables: stp, utp, ftp.. It is driving me nuts Smiley

2. Which router is good enough?  Ubiquiti Networks EdgeRouter X SFP or TP-Link TL-ER604W, the tp-link does have WiFi which I will turn of if possible.

3. Are longer power cables (c13) a bad thing, increased heat/fire possibility?  (3 meters vs 5 meters)

4. As switches I am going to order two 24 ports switches:  Tp-link tl-sf1024 or tl-sf1024d. Any problems with these?

I'm in the process of starting a small L3+ and D3 farm, can I install awesome miner on a raspberry pi instead of a laptop and have access to it remotely over internet?
33  Local / Skandinavisk / Ønsker å kjøpe litecoin cash i bergen on: August 17, 2017, 11:35:47 PM
