21  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Have you seen such crazy guy ever ?! on: May 11, 2013, 01:50:44 AM
Being a journalist he's probably lying and has actually kept a copy of the private key somewhere and he can move the funds secretly later when all the hub-bub has gone away ... and there is no way to prove or disprove if he has destroyed the private key so he's safe.

If he has destroyed the key he has just made all bitcoins more valuable so he can't win if he decides to play ... thanks (but I don't believe him).

Can't he just send the coins to another address and we can watch that transaction and address til the end of time? Either way, charity makes more sense to me...

I'm interested in this because it's creating buzz, and where there's buzz there's vol and profit opps. I just hope the creators aren't getting the biggest paydays...
23  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [WTS] 8K CNC for LTC/BTC. Come get your CNC! on: May 04, 2013, 11:19:34 PM
Just a warning, I am currently in a almost 24 hour transaction with clue4 over 2500 CNC... I'm currently working on DOUBLE-paying him through a mod escrow after unsuccessfully proving my transaction to him. Please wait for my notice before buying!! Thanks!

clue4 look for a message from me and the exchange mod soon!

what is a mod escrow?

haha, I made that term up, one of the mods is helping us finish the transaction...

[quote author=Uchmanpj The dumbest part of it all, is all of the sellers on Bter. There's literally no more than $6-7000 in supply right now. If they collectively waited for even an hour, the price would double. That said, the idiocy on most of these exchanges shows how much money there is to be made from inefficiencies...

I still made a lot of money in just two days, so I'm not complaining. ( too much anyway Wink I'm doing it be folowing my gut feeling though.

Can you give a few quick tips on how to better exploit these inefficiencies or maybe give me advise on liturature to read up on ?
[/quote]

Help me get my money back from clue4 and I'll tell you everything I know...  Wink Joking aside, it's all easy arbitrage and inter-currency trend following. Basically, the markets are very slow to adjust to efficient prices so that lag can be very profitable as long as you know how to distinguish the right trade opportunities.

Haha it's funny. I created a thread yesterday explaining how CNC would skyrocket after hitting Bter.com. It got so many negative replies that I changed my mind and sold my entire supply of 7k.

DOH !

I'm never listening to you guys again hahaha

Half symbolic and half optimistic speculation, I'd like to placed on the exchange to sell 5K CNC for 100LTC/1k CNC. I post this while in the process of confirming previous transactions so once those go through, I can be added to the trusted column and this won't look like a troll post. Good Day Gentleman!

EDIT: My buy at 25.50 can be removed. Thanks!

and some orders are false/fake.
they will be pulled once they start being tested/bought/sold into.

It's funny to see stuff like that here. I'm a finance student at Wharton and everyone knows that this one of the many tactics the big boys on Wall Street use to manipulate the markets...
33  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Need some ripples on: May 04, 2013, 07:07:51 AM
Hello! I need some ripples to try the system. Could anybody send me 300?

Sorry a bit confused by this thread. Are we allowed to just ask for free handouts? Haha I'd like one too! But I'm assuming 300 (or 75) is close to worthless so I guess I understand -> Only thing left to understand is XRP value one month from now...
34  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: [PPLNS]0% fee. CHNCoin Pool. http://pool.dillavouws.com on: May 04, 2013, 07:04:47 AM
Is it just me, or has something happened to the pool?
Pool is not responding, and also unable to reach the website  Sad

Any ideas what is happening?

I even pinged the site, and lost all packets.

Yes, it's down for me too. The host seems like a cool guy and I'm a fan of starting with a new community so I'm hoping his absence is temporary!
35  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: cgminer parameters? on: May 04, 2013, 07:03:36 AM
I don't want to hijack this thread but I'm curious about parameters in general. Which are the ones everyone use, which are AMD specific? if you have a weak card what should be enabled/disabled? Cool, thanks in advance for the help!!
36  Other / Beginners & Help / Selecting the right mining pool? on: May 04, 2013, 12:31:12 AM
Anyone have any suggestions on how to decide which currency to go with, which pool to work with, and ultimately where the most profitability may be? Aside from that, is mining still worth it? Thanks, fantastic forum, been creeping for a month and decided to go full on very recently!
