Wanchain Alpha Testnet

We are happy to announce our invitation-only Alpha Testnet.

We require participants to meet certain criteria in order to be eligible for Alpha Testnet testing:

  - Two (2) years developer/programmer experience.

We will reward programmers and developers who identify bugs in the platform.

In order to sign up for invitation-only Alpha testing, please register using this Google Form:

We will issue a guide to selected testers by the end of next week.

*NOTE* Sending in this form does not constitute acceptance in the alpha testing process.

A major obstacle all projects have to go through is future proofing their platforms. This is why we want developers from the community to help us rigorously test our platform prior to an official release. Ensuring the mainnet is bug-free from the start is one of the most important goals.

Log into Parity.

1. Select “Contracts” from the tabs at the top of the screen.
Note: if there is no such tab, it can be added from the “Settings” tab.
2. Click “Watch”
3. Select “Token” under “Choose a Contract Type” and Click “Next”

Please note that Silver Whitelist and Gold can contribute at 16:00 UTC on the 4th of October (less than 16 hours!).

We have received just short of 12k applications from over 100 countries (exact number will be announced on Friday: t.me/WanchainANN and t.me/WanchainCHAT) and only a very small percentage were from Chinese applicants which have been rejected as they cannot participate (as well as Singapore and US citizens/permanent residents).

One of the major distinguishing features of Wanchain is the implementation of proof-of-privacy using the Time Stamp Sytem:

Hard cap will be around 120/122K ETH (including presale).

That is not official. We are planning on releasing the date on Friday if we manage to process most whitelist applications.

Sorry about that, we have been busy with slack, telegram, deleting scammers and preparing the whitelist.

Wanchain is not affected by the Chinese regulation as it is not registered in China and KYC ensures that participants from the US, China and Singapore cannot participate.

We do not need a bounty campaign pre-ICO - that is correct. However, we are looking at campaigns upon termination of the ICO.

My personal opinion is that social bounty campaigns pre-ICO are becoming saturated and largely unnecessary for projects where the technology sells itself.

The key is to building the community is by :

1) Serious and direct information: e.g. Not twitter,slack, telegram spamming about a project (shill posts are obvious).
2) International events (meet ups, team interviews, focus groups).
3) Videos explaining the technology of the platform (divided by functions).

Apart from 2 and 3 we will seek more community members. At the current rate we have whitelist applications from over 100 countries.

For approved Gold Whitelist Registrations yes.

To highlight:

*Gold whitelist*: Approved whitelist applicants who submitted the form before Wednesday 20th September 16:00 UTC.

Contribution amount submitted is not guaranteed but a spot in the ICO is.

*Silver whitelist*:  Approved applicants who submitted the form after the Wednesday deadline. Neither contribution amount nor participation is guaranteed in the ICO.
