21  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Big news for bitcoin and crypto currency on: July 09, 2018, 10:10:46 AM
Switzerland’s stock exchange – owned and managed by SIX – has announced its intention to begin offering crypto-specific markets in the very near future. The new SIX Digital Exchange, SDX for short, is – will be fully regulated by authorities in its native country, and backed by the Swiss National Bank, in the same way as its main exchange.

This is a great news that will affect the bitcoin and the crypto world big time. As the bitcoin continuous to rise this kind of news is a great help to support how bitcoin standing up today. This kind of news may also open up.the minds of the government in accepting bitcoin legally.
22  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin or Property? What might be the best investment? on: July 09, 2018, 07:21:46 AM
We had a very interesting discussion over the weekend and people debated if it was better to invest in property or to invest in Bitcoin. The argument was as follows :

1. Most people cannot afford to buy property, so they take a home loan at a Bank. The home loan is paid back with interest and some of these loans are spread out over 20 years to make it affordable to the person who takes out the loan. So, over that 20 years the house of $100 000 will cost you say $1 000 000. {$900 000 paid in interest}

The argument is also that the property has to increase in value, with more than $900 000 for you to say that it was a good investment AND you have to sell that property to get that profit.

2. The other side of the room said it was better to rent a smaller property and to invest the "savings" into something like Bitcoin, because your profit will pay for a bigger deposit or even a whole property in a few years time.

I think paying a high interest rate to a Bank is just as bad as paying rent to a Landlord, because you are getting screwed in both these circumstances.  Angry

We all want to live in big houses that we cannot afford.  Roll Eyes

But with the help of bitcoin we can afford. For a small start up money used to invest in bitcoin we can earn double or maybe tripled to what we have invested. This is a cheap way to earn money, where no loans is needed just a small amount of your savings or a part of wages will do. Investing in property may be a lifetime investment but we all know that it takes lot of time and effort to gain the profit there, but with bitcoin it is easier. More effective and efficient.

I see that many of you actually liked the concept of 20 % method wherein you allot 20% of your earnings to be saved as emergency fund.
So I was thinking, if that 20% allotted will be invested in a time deposit kind of account, will it still be possible to earn as much or invest it in cryptocurrency? Or maybe just let the money sleep until such time you will need it?
What will be a wise kove to do with the noney you have saved up?
Well if you invest into these cryptos you might as well do saving and do investing at the same time because while you are actually saving your money you are also making your money grow just by investing into these cryptos, although sometimes fluctuations may occur but crypto investing is by far the best option and the best profit maker as of now.
25  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can We Finally Call This the DEATH of Bitcoin?!? on: June 11, 2018, 04:53:07 PM
The scammers and crooks finally won! Congratulations because even your fiat will be near worthless at some point too! The economic freedom of the people is once again destroyed by the animalia raised by bad handlers.

To the "Lending" companies (hey man, do you think I can get my money back soon), I salute you.

To Bitmain and "the plan", I salute you.

To Wall Street who always knows my future, I salute you.

To the newbie crypto-millionaires, who only like the part about making easy money, I salute you.

To the lower middle-class who borrowed all the equity in their homes to buy crypto and told everyone about it, I salute you.

To the SEC who will wait until every crypto is worthless to go after anyone, I salute you.

To the old school crypto nerds, who cashed out in 2017 when they saw what was coming, great job!

I still remember the days when getting anything over a 1% yield on a bank account was something to brag about.

One day I will tell my grand kids about the time in 2017 when everyone except politicians were happy and it was a joy to work at any job because you had real money that actually could make you more real money. Time to find the next bubble...
The fall of bitcoin rather. Not the death. In my opinion at least. Bitcoin has went through this fall long time ago and it went up also. I think if this falls all crypto is going to end up like this as well. So I think bitcoin is just taking its time and it just need time to grow its rate again. Bitcoin will not die just yet. You just have to wait years and years though because it will take a long time.
26  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Future Of Crypto Market Without Bitcoin? on: June 10, 2018, 05:56:14 PM
of course, we all see that all markets are red and there are some fears of getting down more and more in the following days. but on the other hand, no one can ignore that bitcoin is the leader of all the crypto market, so if it down the whole market will go down as well, so it is too hard to believe that it will die that easy
and the major investors of it will not allow this to happen.
what do you think, am I right?
As we all know bitcoin is the leading and without bitcoin crypto might be as well be dead at that point. Bitcoin has set the standards of crypto and seeing it fall down might tell the future of other crypto as well since they're just the same investment. But I think bitcoin will not fall just yet it will definitely come back to its rate with all of its investors again.

Well if you want to save your money and make you saving an investment which will at the same time grow and saved. Then crypto investing is the best option. Cryptos are good investment because they're growing investment compared to other investment they're faster and with good rates. But also with this comes to the horrible fluctuating value that either make you rich or make you poor.
28  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will bitcoin go under regulation on: June 06, 2018, 02:50:28 PM
Many government are seeing Bitcoin or cryptocurrency as a threat to their financial system and they think it should be regulated to solve the problem. Do you think they can regulate Bitcoin ?
If that's what it takes for bitcoin to be operated in their country. Then so be it. If they are a technologically advanced country that does not want compromises to happen, then they could easily regulate bitcoin in their country. However there are certain countries that are not as advanced so we can't hope that these countries will be able to regulate bitcoin in their country.
29  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin's strength is that nobody can crack it yet on: June 06, 2018, 02:09:31 PM
Strength of bitcoin in the great prospects of technology and different ways of development.

The greatest advantages in Bitcoin make it incredibly well such as no third-party seizure, no taxes, no tracking, no transaction costs, no risk of charge backs and most of all Bitcoin cannot be stolen.
And with this  I think nobody can crack it.
This is true. Bitcoin's prime strength is its anonymity and the anonymity it gives to its users and investors. But this is also one of the reasons a lot of crime agency had their eyes locked on bitcoin. As we all know, bitcoin's strength is being abused and wrongly used by a lot of hackers and traffickers, making the cryptocurrency a mode of payment for their illegal transactions.
30  Economy / Economics / Re: Economy going up and up everyday on: June 04, 2018, 05:34:43 PM
I have been interested into economy, stock trading and such. And have begun watching series movies and reading more about it.

I learned what CDOs where, and how they worked. But now the institutions/banks are selling/buying bespoke tranche opportunities, basically same as CDOs just another name.

The dollar is up by a lot, and the stock market has tested the 200 MA 3 times already. Interest rates are near 0% and loan rates are going up faster and faster each year.

Every country I have friends in, are telling me that the inflation is rising, interest rates are going going down and you're basically losing money each year.
What I think is interesting, is that the loan rates were pretty low (close to 0) for 1-2 years and it started to rise.

I think with the rise of Crypto, it's the safe heaven for us, the normal people. I think communities, countries, specific groups of people will make their own currency (and also money) out of thin air, and this is how our societies will function soon. But that doesn't necessarily mean that cash will go away, I think people are attached to cash a lot and it's a different feeling when you have cash.

What do you guys think? All thots are appreciated!

Bitcoin is an investment that takes time and it was never certain about its price or whatever but this is what makes bitcoin really good because of the pricd range that it can go to. If you have your bitcoin grow more and more everyday then it is a good news if it is not you have to be patient about it because investments aren't fast but it is all worth the wait.
31  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What you need to know before investing in crypto on: June 04, 2018, 11:39:37 AM
A news from ABS-CBN, a Filipino Media and Entertainment Group.

MANILA - An investor who saw a 39,000-percent increase in his bitcoin investment warned on Monday that many cryptocurrency investment schemes right now are scams.

Emerson Fonseca, Philippine head of NEM Foundation, told ANC's Market Edge that since he started trading bitcoin 2 years ago, a lot of scams have cropped up because people don't understand cryptocurrencies.

What are your opinions?

Well if you choose the right one to invest in you'll not be scammed. When investing into bitcoin there's always that idea that it is risky and you might lose profit at some point but worry not, because bitcoin is risky only with its volatility nothing more and nothing less. But this is what makes it a good investment because you will get higher rates at some point.
32  Economy / Economics / Re: Why we need price crashes and panic selloffs on: June 03, 2018, 03:50:05 PM
This is just a thought that occurred to me while reading some posts around here, feel free to discuss it or even criticize it. So if we want Bitcoin to rise in the future, we need it to crash first and many wannabe traders to sell off their coins at a loss when the price is low. If people don't close their positions in panic now and just wait out bad times, they simply won't let prices grow later because they will get out whenever the price rises just enough for them. But if they fix their losses, they will no longer have bitcoins to record minor profits and thus drag the price down in the future. As a consequence, the price can surge higher without a lot of selling pressure at bigger figures when the hype and buying frenzy begins anew.

The bottom line is that it is kinda required for Bitcoin to crash occasionally for the prices to rise higher eventually.
The rate is pretty much normal with its volatility on the line. Some factors in the market and the partnership with bitcoin affects the rate. This is normal though because I think this sets as an opportunity for new investors so that they can invest in a lower price since bitcoin doesn't really fall down into a very critical state which everyone just turn their backs on bitcoin or something.
33  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Keep safe your Bitcoin from hacker on: June 03, 2018, 03:36:46 PM

34  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: New to Crypto, Any Advice? on: June 03, 2018, 03:32:17 PM
Hello, Im new to the Crypto world and wanted to hear some advice from the pro's on where to start. i havnt purchased any coins yet, but i have been using coinpot and various faucets. I was wondering if i should keep going with this or is it a waste of my time. Also they say theres no fee for converting coins, but i dont get the same conversion rate as i do on the coinmarketcap calculator. Basically id like to hear from the professionals maybe a strategy for really small trades, or that this is a waste of time and buy some coins with my hard earned money and go from there lol. and if thats the case, where to go. im in Canada by the way, if that helps.

Thanks for any help you can offer me. I hope to get more active in the forums and meet great/smart people along the way Smiley

35  Economy / Economics / Re: How is Bitcoin different from Etherium? on: June 02, 2018, 10:35:04 AM
Bitcoin is the father of all coins and it is the most sought and popular coins in cryptocurrency and until no coins can surpass it's price and when we say etherium it is a coin thats making it's way to become also popular as Bitcoin.
It's not just the rank or position in the market that keeps them different from each other. Although they are both based on decentralized blockchain system but unlike bitcoin, ethereum allows a pretty quick development and improvement for new applications. Decentralized Applications or DAPPS is made possible by the ethereum platform.

37  Economy / Economics / Re: its not about how much you invested, its when you should invest? on: June 01, 2018, 02:07:49 PM
kinda strange when investing in a volitile  market. you can spend 10,000 $ into the market in january and come out less. than what a person invested in april with 10,000 $.
With the time of your investment identified you can pretty much foresee when will you get a certain profit in these cryptocurrencies. They pretty much fall down at some point and go up at some point time but worry less because knowing when to invest will save you that waiting time, for example you invested when the bitcoin's rate high above then expect to wait a little bit longer because most probably it will fall down and then rises up, this might take years and years. You have to be patient in crypto investing.
38  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: bitcoin is the vehicle, we run it on: June 01, 2018, 01:55:09 PM
A lot of posts are about bitcoin (eg bitcoin for illegal transactions ... bitcoins change lives ... bitcoin destroys the world ... bitcoin poison and so on) but basically it's all humans that move .. bitcoin is the tool. Good bad how the tool is how the man who runs. is it worth blaming bitcoin. What is your opinion?
It's also us that gives us profit or other investors who gives us profit in this prior matter because it is just a cycle and the creator of bitcoin is one that regulates and maintain or possibly keep bitcoin alive in the cryptocurrency world. Bitcoin can really change lives for everyone and it is very life changing because of the up-down situations that it faces and with this it creates opportunities for those who want to buy it and for those who want to sell it at some point of the rate of bitcoin.
39  Economy / Speculation / Re: What does the future of bitcoin look like?? on: May 14, 2018, 03:34:31 PM
So Bitcoin's market dominance in the cryptocurrency world is currently at the lowest level ever with 36.1% of the total value.

In my opinion, it's because the interest in alternative coins is rising rapidly for one, but you also have to consider how much of the bitcoin world is criminal. Seriously, for the first 5-8 years, the digital currency was mainly used as a means for criminals to launder money and sell illegal goods on the dark market. Think of all the massive hacks in the early days also, and all those darknet markets that disappeared with huge amounts of bitcoin.

Literally millions and millions of the 16 million coins out there would be owned by criminals. And now with bitcoin becoming more centralized and less anonymous, they are swiftly exiting the market and looking for alternative dark coins.

I also personally avoid using bitcoin all-together because of the extremely slow transaction speeds and high cost's associated with it.

The bitcoin mining business is dust, so that interest will die quickly.

I just don't see a very bright future for the god of cryptocurrency and it will surely be surpassed by one of its rivals soon enough.

I'm torn between predicting it to be Dash, or Ethereum, and I recon it could be about 2 years before that happens.

Would love to know peoples thoughts on the future of bitcoin.

Where will bitcoin be in

2 weeks?
2 months?
2 years?

Will it be surpassed by another coin? If so, which one and when?
I don't think it can be surpassed by any other coins at the moment because it has this drastic leap among the other coins because the fact that it is the first ever created crypto it is also the popular. I think bitcoin in the future will be a success more than we can see it now. Well maybe as you can see now bitcoin is banned through countries but further tweaking into these bitcoin issues will make bitcoin a legal currency in the future.
40  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin can drop again 7K zone. on: May 11, 2018, 05:07:39 PM
Bitcoin can drop 7K zone for short time. As we see it's already drop 8500$ . So I expect it will drop below 8k, that means 7K zone. But it will no longer. I hope agin Bitcoin will grow up to 9K zone by next week. What you think about it ?
It is impossible to happen. It might drop but it's gonna be near to its last value. Or just like 500$ drop or something like that. Bitcoin is starting to get back on track again as we can see it is $9k now aand maybe next month it will step to the $10k which is a good news to everyone that is waiting for this the whole time since the price dumping happened last year. I might say it is very fast as I thought it would be.
