hi
i'm planning to buy   asus mining expert with 10 gpu's
and power them up with  delta 2400w psu

how  to make the power connection  as the mobo  has 3 atx 24 pin slots
and as you know every 6 pcie  are connected to 1 atx 24 pin socket
22  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: biostar tb250btc PRO : prolem on above6 mining mode on: September 20, 2017, 08:16:01 PM
I Think i got a solution for this problem
.
.
it;s updating bios and making all settings we need ( above6 - gen pcie 1x - .....)
then installing windows
.by this way the 7th card worked very well
thanx
23  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / biostar tb250btc PRO : prolem on above6 mining mode on: September 20, 2017, 03:54:16 PM
i had the biostar tb250btc PRO
and 4 cards sapphire nitro+ 570 4gb   & 3 cards sapphire nitro+ 580 4gb
it's supposed to handle 12 cards (8+4)
till the 6th card everything is ok

when the 7th is connected and change the bios mining  mode to above 6
.
i can't enter windows
just black screen after the POST  screen
.
.
even updating th bios didn't solve the problem
24  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: can i operate the rig without the pcie 16x slot ? on: September 15, 2017, 07:23:40 PM
ok thanx for help
there was weired thing in this mb
form 1st time we powered it on
just pluging the psu cord in the wall the cpu fan starts rotating and cards start to give lights
but not boot until pressing on the power button
.
.is this normal?
or could this be the reason for the problem?>
25  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: can i operate the rig without the pcie 16x slot ? on: September 15, 2017, 05:56:27 PM
Are you using any of the 1x slots with cards already?

Why not switch to onboard graphics run by the cpu?
.
.
it's new rig
the rig was working fine with the primary gpu in riser connected to the 16x slot
windows installed well and every thing was going fine
untill i attatched the rest of the cards
then when powring on the rig
every thing got silent
no response at all
no fans rotating not cards lighting nothing at all
then i discovered this melted slot
26  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / can i operate the rig without the pcie 16x slot ? on: September 15, 2017, 05:21:45 PM
i have the biostar tb250 btc pro
the 16x slot got melted
but i still have 11 1x slots
can i work with the main gpu in one of the 1 x slots ?
27  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: suggestions of server psu 2400watt on: September 04, 2017, 03:21:19 PM

thanx for the explanation

but what 'll happen if i ran this psu on 180 volt ?

the problem is where i live we have public problem in voltage normal voltage is 170-200 volt varying all over the day according to the load
this is the cause to look for a psu 100-240

well I lived some time ago in the place that had similar as you described problems with electricity
and they only way to solve that problems was to by stabilizer - these thing you can but for different power
they are working from 145V  to 260V input, and give stable 220+-10V output

find one for 10-15KVA - that's the one you need and your problem with electricity will vanish and you'll be able to use normal power supply

0.
.
.
DO YOU HAVE  any buying links for good ones?
here all the stabilizers are of low quality
28  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: suggestions of server psu 2400watt on: September 04, 2017, 02:34:00 PM
Instead of trying to find a server PSU with those specs maybe you should consider upgrading your electrical circuitry. As the above poster described:

This is why 2400 watt PSUs will only work on 220-240V.
.
.
thanx 4 advice
as i said

29  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: suggestions of server psu 2400watt on: September 04, 2017, 02:25:58 PM
please i need suggestion of server psu 2400 or higher
but  with voltage input range 100-240v
not 200-240
if not present what is the biggest  server psu with input 100-240

You are going to have a hard time finding one.  Power(watts)=Volts*Amps  so... 2400 watts divided by 120v would be 20 amps.  Most household electrical circuits on 120v are on 15 amp breakers.  You should really only use 80% of a circuit, so the maximum you should put on a 15 amp breaker would be 1440 watts at 120 volts.

This is why 2400 watt PSUs will only work on 220-240V.  The wiring is a much lower gauge, which means it can handle more current (amperage), and thus can handle the higher wattage.  Plus 240V circuits are usually on larger breakers to accommodate the larger wattage and amperage.

i need to calculate my power loads to choose the suitable psu
so please tell me the  maximum power draw of sapphire nitro+ 570 4gb at maximum overclocking
.
and what about moded bios for power saving
does it affect the hashrate for the sake of power saving or gives the maximum hash rate as normal over clocking ?

I'm planning to have 7 cards  rig
7* Sapphire nitro+ RX570

main PSU 'll br evga 750watt gold works with the cpu &mobo with 3 cards
secondary PSU 'll be thermaltake toughpower  gold 850watt with 4 cards
.
'll this work fine ??
35  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Risers experts : help me powering up my 8 RX 570 rig on: August 28, 2017, 11:43:56 AM
thanx
what about powering the  M.2 TO PCI-E .

power cable & socket seems very weak specially from the adaptor's end.

is it safe to plug in an RX570
and which is safer the molex cable or the sata?
on long term use??
36  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Risers experts : help me powering up my 8 RX 570 rig on: August 27, 2017, 09:30:28 PM
Powered USB risers use ~45-50W each. A SATA connector is rated for 54W, which is near the limit and a concern because of the constant draw at near the limit on the connector from a mining rig. That being said, many like BBT advocate the Sata to 6-pin connector included with risers is a heavy duty connector that can handle the load without a problem. To be safe, I use dual sata to 6-pin adapters that spread the load over two connectors instead of one.

https://www.aliexpress.com/item/Deconn-SATA-15-Pin-Male-to-PCI-Express-6-Pin-Dual-Video-Card-Adapter-Cable/32584991290.html

There are also dual molex to 6-pin connectors.

https://www.aliexpress.com/item/4Pcs-High-Quality-2-x-Molex-To-PCI-E-Power-Adapter-4Pin-4-Pin-6-Pin/32759205876.html

I use 6-pin PCI-E risers. Three thicker wires that are designed to spread a higher 12V load instead of two used by molex and sata connectors. The 6-pin risers also use four capacitors for a more stable current flow compared to the three used by the molex and sata risers. The good ones also come with a voltage regulator to prevent spikes.

Just remember to never power more than two risers per SATA or 4-pin Molex PSU cable MAX. Using more more than that, you are overloading the rail and can damage the PSU, cables, connectors or all of them.

.
.
.
.
thank you

but what about the opposite SATA socket  on the PSU rail
is it also a heavy duty socket and can handle the load ??
37  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Risers experts : help me powering up my 8 RX 570 rig on: August 27, 2017, 08:55:01 PM
You don't have to use the adapter on the 6 pin risers.  You just plug the 6 pin power cable from the PSU directly into the riser.  The adapters are only included as a convenience.
.
.
good point
so how many 6 pin connectors you think still left for the risers
after connecting all the GPU's ??
and cab I use some kind of splitters or it 'll cause overload ??
I really terrified of  burning and melting of cables I don't want to lose my rig
38  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Risers experts : help me powering up my 8 RX 570 rig on: August 27, 2017, 08:00:26 PM
i’m planning to have a rig with 8 AMD rx 570
with 2 psu eVGA gold 750w
the problem here with risers
I’m really confused and need advice about the best riser type can bear heavy power withdraw
most people say the SATA type is the worst and the SATA socket melts and get burn
they say the ver008 is better also ver 009 with 6 pin
but the strange things is
even 6 pin risers have SATA socket on the other end which connects to the PSU rail
and the SATA to MOLEX riser also has SATA socket from the end connecting to the riser
.
.
I’m really confused
if the SATA socket is weak so How it’s present in 6 pin risers?

39  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: ASUS B250 Mining Expert MB - 19 Cards! on: August 25, 2017, 05:52:50 PM
WHERE can I buy one?
.
.
NO
 NEVER
This will make your laptop melt of heat with no profitable yield
mining needs strong GPU's  even 1 GPU not enough so what you think of mobile built in GPU??
