If there's a chance that some facebook and twitter shares and slack and newsletter subscriptions can make this happen then I'm definitely in!

25  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why I have decided to invest in Quantum Resistant Ledger (QRL) now on: August 24, 2017, 08:33:13 PM
I've invested a (very) small amount in QRL but it's not really about ROI, it's more that I think it's important to start researching these things.

You can do whatever you want but I do not think we are even close to create a quantum computer capable of breaking the current algorithms, while some people speculate that we may be far more advanced I think it is going to take a lot of time, similar to what happens to robots.

I agree but there is a lot of money being put towards researching technologies that are decades away and very little money going towards more niche applications of it. Sure there's a lot of money going into quantum computing and there's a lot of money going into crypto currency so I think we can be fairly confident in doing that they will both be part of our future. What there isn't much money in is how well these technologies will interact with each other and what the dangers are. I'm not quite the zealot that OP seems to be but I would resent a little bit of money being lost to QRL of it means that another company in the future has done ects information to work with.

And who knows, there might be a 1000% ROI in 5 years  Wink

27  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How do you get the news about BTC/altcoins? on: August 24, 2017, 07:24:50 PM
I mostly get my news from bitcointalk and cointelegraph, alerts and updates from the Bitcoin Checker app on my phone and I regularly check coinmarketcap.com for tends. I don't get much from twitter as I haven't yet setup a dedicated twitter account for cryptocurrencies and I don't want to wade through pictures of my friends food/children to get updates. Google also prompts me with interesting articles from other websites every now and then as a nice payoff for giving them all my data.

So are you now saying that me signing up and getting to level 10 whilst taking notes will not be rewarded?

If you provide some actual value/notes, then yes.. there are exceptions.. but I'm not going to be dishing em out like flap jacks.

Just a measure to control anybody trying to game the system, that's all..

If anyone (High level Member) can or is willing to assist with organizing this.. Please advise

Thanks.

I currently have a couple of pages and screenshots up to level 13. I missed the address @compoundfilms so where can I send it? I would like to verify that I will be rewarded before I continue. I can post a link to a google doc here if that is allowed.

30  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Trading, stockpiling or ICO on: August 22, 2017, 09:24:46 PM
I have around 100 GBP across various currencies and wallets which I trade occasionally to make very small profits. The problem is that because I am trading in such small amounts and I have the money spread across different wallets and exchanges, the exchange fees and tranfer costs are destroying any profit I make. If I condense everything into BTC in a single wallet I will probably loose a large percentage but I'm ok to do that if I have a game plan for that BTC, even if that plan is to just keep hold of it. I have been looking at ICO's and whether I know enough about the technology to make an educated decision and I've been looking at the UnikrnGold ICO in September for a possible game plan. What do you guys think? Should I a)Continue trading small amounts, breaking even on transactions and exchanges in the hope that one gives me a lucky boost, b)stockpile one or two currencies for 1+ years or c)Invest it all in an ICO and hope for a large return. I have followed the most basic rule of not trading what you can't afford to lose but I'd rather not lose it.

I currently have about 60% in BTC accross 2 wallets, 17% in ETH in 1 wallet, 9.9% in XRP on the exchange, 4.9% in SPHR on the exchange and 12% in QRL on the exchange. (the last one because I though it looked good).

What do you fine folks think?

P.S. I also mine ETH but that's more of an learning exersize and it's in a pool so it'll be ages before I get to the minimum withdrawal amount and it's not included.
