Does anyone know why my wallet wont sync, It was synced before but now every time open it nothing happens and it says 0 active connections to the magi network  Add connect=104.128.225.215

Has anyone else noted the big miners are kinda countering the magi model?
they hammer the hash, the reward drops, they hashrate drops by 60% until the reward comes back up and they just re-appear again? so it doesnt really seem to be stopping them. I cant fathom why they are bothering, with the power they have i would think they would be CPU mining monero its alot more profitable with the magi rewards sitting at 1xmg per block for 80% of the time now
4 months ago you knew: 43xmg @ 45Mh, 35 xmg @ 55Mh, 20xmg @ 65 Mh. Right now no one know hr/reward model, 1 xmg @ 70 Mh, 1 xmg @ 20Mh. Net hashrate, of cause. From the other side low reward will not increase value. even 100 000 xmg, mined for 3 months, have no effect on price. Big miners mine for nothing. Home users without big miners mine for nothing. Does anyone can explain current reward model?
In the past here was simple algo: more hashrate - more diff, more diff - less reward (after 50Mh/s).
Right now net hashrate is about 20 Mh/s, diff 2.5-3, but reward is about 1XMG.
Two days ago I saw 40Mh net, diff 3, reward about 20 XMG.
I read about new model, but 2PoS/2PoW cannot explain this.
Right now net 55 Mh, diff 5, reward 7. It's a f ing absurd. Your net hashrate is wrong, it's more than 200 MH right now. That's f*ing aburd. You talk about cumulative hashrate, I talk about value client shows. Anyway, it have no difference: here is no logic in reward, now it looks like random - maybe 1, maybe 20. |

Well, that's exactly the problem I'm talking about. Before switching to 1.4.4.x wallet I had like 20-30 XMG/day with 250-300 kh/s. Now... Well, same as you basically. $1/day really? Something went wrong here. Also there was a short period (right on wallet switch or just after) when incomes grown 2-3x times bigger compared to "old good times". That was sweet. Block reward ~= old block reward, but now we have rule 2PoW+2PoS, so 50+% hash power are wasting. Not only you have drop - everyone have drop. Four months ago we had similar situation: 300 kh reward dropped from 10xmg to 5 xmg per day. It's mean 2PoS/2PoW rule is not working for botnet limiting. Here is no difference between "Botnets increase hashrate and drop reward" vs "Botnets increase hashrate and eat reward" - home user have the same, 0. |

nearly 300 blocks since minerclaim has hit a block ??
well thats what the dashboard is showing
They had problems on backend - "We are investingating issues in the backend. Your shares and hashrate are safe and we will fix things ASAP. Is it glitch or magi network really slow down 2-3x? One block every 10 minutes - too long.

Can anyone help me, I download the new wallet 1.4.4.1, I open it and start to sync, but it never finish, how can I full sync my wallet? it just keep saying out of sync

Hello people, We've made a bit of changes at Pool42 ! After having made a poll among our miners, it has been decided by the vast majority that the hashrate limit should be increased from 300 KH/s to 600 KH/s in order to be able to have a larger share of the network hashrate. Lol Thank you for your constructive comment. Okay, I explain. For a week you (threatened to) ban users with 300+ kh. For a weeks I told it's a bad idea. And now after pool reward drop and pool closing perspective you forget about pathos words and talk "Okay, we are increasing max hashrate". Lol. |

May sell some to cover the server cost. Need to wait 520 confirmation.  you know im joking right, coz its a bad thing to sell them now  Why? Current price ~$0.24 was half-year ago and I see no one fundamental reason for dramatic increasing. Do you talk about value drop after massive sells? |

We support this, we haven't been able to find as much blocks as before, even though the earning per block is above what we had, our miners earn less.
It looks like the new rule not really resulted in what was expected.
Are you sure? In the past I earned 10 XMG a day, last period less than 1 XMG a day, now I earn 15 XMG a day, with 200 Kh/s. I guess it works perfectly, again. Or do you mean big miners earn less after last update? Current reward per block: 42.97. The lowest reward I saw was ~20. So not, big miners no earn less, but giant hashrate now have no dramatic effect on difficulty. Actually, we have algo hashrate limit. Now you cannt start up 50 Mh botnet and ruin reward, because POW blocks count depends on POS blocks count, generated by minor users. |

In your experience, how much power is required for solo mining? With is there any chance with 50kh/s to find a block in the 24 hours? Or with this power the only possible way to mine is in a pool?

Minerclaim have 46Mh/s, block every 10 minutes. You'll find block in 10*(46Mh/50kh) = 10000 min = 166 hours = 7 days. Average. Maybe 1 day, maybe 1 month. |

Hello I have a problem with the wallet since yesterday I can not syncronise it starts and then stops right away.
I re-launched wallet several times and nothing to do. I left all night and open and still nothing
Do you have the same problem ?

probably overloading with almost a thousand miners. It is also unhealthy to have too high hashrate on a single pool. It is less decentralized and borderline centralized. Is it healthy to ban users with 300+kh/s? You create a problem with bans, and now you talk "It is also unhealthy, miners mine on a pool without moronic rules, the universe is so unfair!". L - logic. |

Yet again I installed the new wallet. I deleted all prior data in the magi folder.
I opened it, it regenerated the database.
I tried restoring old back ups in order. When I get to the backup that reflects the transaction that was sent to Bittrex on a bad chain then got lost on it's return trip to me because the transfer was on a bad blockchain the money still shows as "In my wallet, but unconfirmed"
HOW do I get my cash paid for XMG back out of unconfirmed? The wallet recognizes it is real and valid but because it was "tainted" by this other blockchain it won't update and let the cash return out of "reserved for transfer" mode basically, because it can't get confirmations due to the transaction being on a bad blockchain the funds are just stuck in unconfirmed. WHY?
Why can't my funds release back properly after complete reinstall of new wallet and database wipe for the new blockchain??!?!
I keep asking this question AND GET NO REPLY. This is becoming VERY discouraging. If this coin's developer can't answer a simple question like "How do I fix this bug, because this is clearly a BUG....then what hope is there for the future of this coin?
Seriously guys why can't anyone give me a straight answer about how to unlock the 177 XMG that is stuck in unconfirmed status? Shouldn't there be a coin repair algo AS WELL as a wallet repair algo? Where it checks if the transaction was done on valid blockchains and if it was not, unlocks the XMG???
I am getting tired of asking this question with NO STRAIGHT ANSWERS. SOMEONE please give me a way to solve this problem.

Although these are recognized as within the bittrex wallet, the funds are stuck unconfirmed. Maybe it will fix itself when it comes out of the maintenance mode. I have over 60 coins not confirmed on bittrex, I think the others were from bad blockchain mining but these 26 XMG here should show up as valid once they "repair wallet" on their own wallets....
This transaction stored in wallet.dat, but payment was on a forked chain, so it have 0 confirmations. Try to dumpprivkey/importprivkey to another computer, sync, next checkwallet/repairwallet, and 100% you will not find this transaction. |

On poolinfo that value is taken from getmininginfo from the wallet If i'm not wrong now. block 1481500 will happen in ~ 3 hrs now (121 blocks to go.) Now getmininginfo shows ""netmhashps" : 1.20380011", but minerclaim have 43 MH/s, TMM 4MH/s, even Pool42 1.53 MH/s. Looks like something wrong. |
