21  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Instagram bans ICO and crypto ads on: February 01, 2018, 10:35:58 AM
If Facebook already banned crypto ads for sure instagram will follow since instagram is owned by facebook. Well that is their company so let's respect their decision in banning crypto, for sure they have good reasons for banning such ads. Especially most coins advertised in this platforms are bogus or only directed to self gain of the owners and developers of the coins which stealing money from the people, and knowing that facebook won't allow any illegal activities in their network especially they are using these platforms for advertisement. Facebook and Instagram are just protecting their names and does not want to be involved in any illegal activity that could potentially destroy their good names.
22  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Facebook bans cryptocurrency ads.. on: February 01, 2018, 10:15:58 AM
Facebook has the right to ban any advertisement when deemed necessary, most of the coins advertised in Facebook are bogus and all towards to personal gain of the developers and management. They are using cryptocurrency to steal money from people. If i am an investor I will still go with a coin that does not need any advertisement as the coin should be successful no matter what. We can't do anything with that we are just users of Facebook, we will just follow their guidelines as well. I am seeing a lot of people ranting in facebook because of the ban, but they are not considering facebook's part when a product advertised in one platform brings the name of the platform, facebook is just protecting it's name and we should respect it.
23  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Could some coins be banned? on: February 01, 2018, 10:01:11 AM
It depends in the government you are in just like in China they are banning bitcoins. So depending which part of the world you are in there are governing laws that you have to follow and that should include cryptocurrency in general. Just be mindful of your governing laws from the country you are in before you invest in cryptocurrency you might be in hot waters with the state.
24  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: When do you know its time to sell your altcoins? on: February 01, 2018, 06:22:30 AM
the moment i see 10% rise in the altcoins i keep, I sell them. I usually have a goal of 10 - 15% rise before I sell. If i bought it at higher price. I decide to just hold and wait until it will reach 5% rise to break even the cost of the transaction as well as get my money back. There is no point really in keeping alts too long in your wallets we never know what could happen to them so it is better to reap immediately the profits made than wait for sometime and you are not sure if price will begin to dump again.
25  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which coin is best for small payments? on: February 01, 2018, 06:17:34 AM
I guess Doge will be the best coin for micro transactions. You can run faucets in exchange for ads using doge coins which does not really hurt the bank much when paid as faucets or some other stuff. Doge transaction is also fast in my opinion, I myself even use this to for micro payments in my projects.
26  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethreum the new king of crypto? on: February 01, 2018, 06:14:16 AM
It is too early to say that ETH would be the new King. It is still January and if we look at historical trends January really is the time for price corrections and values of coins will really go down. But will slowly rise up on the succeeding months. I would only agree that ETH will be the new King once ETH surpasses the price of BTC which for now will still be a long way ahead. But everything is possible especially on the volatility of the cryptomarket, all we have to do is just be ready, anything can happen.
27  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Get Rid Of Bitcoins ? on: February 01, 2018, 06:10:42 AM
It really depend on how you view the future of bitcoins. Both coins did well in the past so there is nothing to worry if you switch to ETH. But still bitcoin holds the greatest value of the two coins. If I were you I will not sell all my BTC rather half of it will be invested in coins that I think will do good in 2018. and half of it will be stored and just hold on to it. I am sure BTC now is just undergoing price corrections. It will surely rise in the coming months. So there is still a good future for BTC.
28  Other / Meta / Re: Can someone explain why this post is worth 96 merits on: January 31, 2018, 11:28:56 AM
I could not agree more with OP. Sending 50 merits at one time is just outrageous. Yes the topic could be an icon already to the cryptocurrency community but giving 50 merits is damn way more. It could have been spread to other posts which have the quality and the content we need here. There are a lot people who needs those merits more than the one who started the topic. This is one thing I see a potential problem with the merit system, merits are not distributed efficiently to where it is intended to be. Everyone are trying hard to post quality posts at the onset of the merit system but it seems that proper allocation and distribution of these merits are not fair enough. There should be somewhat a limit of the merits you can give a person. For example you are limited to 1 merit per post, so in such cases someone plans to game the system he needs to create 50 good posts to collect all 50 merits. Or any similar limitation of the giving of merits for it to be much fair with the others who are doing all their best to answer or create posts in order to be merited but was not merited.
29  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC could go down to $5,000 on: January 31, 2018, 01:15:13 AM
Everything is possible. Even alt coins can also go up as high as bitcoin prices. The market is very volatile. We never know what investors are thinking right now. If ever investors pulls out their investments in bitcoin surely value will go low, but I guess $5k is too much. I am more positive that the lowest Bitcoin can go down is at $8k then slowly it should get it's composure back on track. There are a lot of factors to consider in the value of a coin to pump or dump, but bitcoin will always hold it's name for the best valued coin.
30  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will Ripple comes to 2 dollar by end of Feb 2018 on: January 31, 2018, 01:09:28 AM
Ripple is one of those stable coins which has a big potential to grow, so I would not have second thoughts that it has the potential to reach $2 or even more by the end of Feb 2018. But if ever it would not reach that price point by end of Feb, there is still a big potential to grow it's value this year. Each day many potential investors are looking at this coin, once they are convinced enough to invest in Ripple surely it's value will rise up. For those holders of this coin just keep on holding on to them. I could see a big profit coming it's way this 2018.
31  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will Litecoin die? on: January 31, 2018, 01:04:15 AM
Litecoin will never die, as long as we have people that believes in it. It will continue to have value. Value of litecoins is still high compared to other coins in the market, so it will be  to early to speculate that it will die. Even if the developer already sold his coins but we still have people who owns part of those coins which keeps the coin a live. A coin will never die or loose value as long as people believe on it's value.

33  Economy / Services / Re: 🚀[Signature Campaign] 🚀LEGOLAS Exchange 200 Members Required | [CFNP] on: January 31, 2018, 12:54:34 AM
Piece of advice, do not count your posts, it seems you are just really after of the money instead of helping promote the campaign. Just keep on posting and making sure it is all constructive posts, and you don't have to worry if you will be paid or not as for sure you will really get paid. Take it from me, who has been paid here for 3 consecutive weeks now, I do not count the posts that I made but I make sure that every post is constructive and could be counted as a qualifying post for the week. I just don't understand other people ranting on payments when you are also counting your posts, to be on the safer side if you are really counting your posts if the requirement is 15 do 20. We never know what the Manager's taste of what is a constructive post.
34  Other / Meta / Re: Merit & new rank requirements on: January 30, 2018, 05:06:29 PM
I need some opinion, especially from DT2 and DT1. Will guys allowed when someone is asking for a help instead of paying some reward in BTC or any amount that good in cash we will pay in sMerit?

For example of one of my post here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2850944.msg29247505#msg29247505 (I never mentioned that I will merit those who help me).
Like if someone can help me I will merit him. Is that allowed? Or is there a chance that someone who does that will be tagged a Negative Trust because of paying sMerit instead of Bitcoin/Altcoin?

sMerit should not be given as a form of payment. Merits are created to appreciate, or commend someone for posting a useful information. Yes you can still give sMerit to someone who have help you with your problem but that should not be in a form of payment for the help offered. It is best if you can offer payment in btc / atlcoins, and it is up to you to give out sMerit for the Job well done. After all sMerits where created to promote good quality post not for any payment source or scheme.
35  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Establishments / Sites that accepts bitcoins as payment here in the Philippines on: January 30, 2018, 04:46:46 PM

I'm newbie on this forum, learning cryptocurrencie recently and will probably find a lot of trouble. Especially as a single fighter to get merit. Why I am late to start, while others have become heroes.
I've made some posts that I think are good according to newbie. but not a merit I get.
How the criteria make a good post on this forum. Sad

Do not run after merits. After all basing on your statement you are here to learn regarding cryptocurrency so there is no rush for you to level up. Keep on learning as much as you can then start commenting quality, informative, and relevant posts especially to incoming newbies, and you have a bigger chance to earn those merits. Focus first in learning, as you can't give anyone something that you do not have, and I am talking about knowledge on cryptocurrencies. There are a lot of topics in the forum you can browse to gain those knowledge start from there and avoid spamming questions which have been answered long before. You can use the search tool if there are topics in your mind that you have some questions before even thinking to ask regarding it.

38  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: MERIT POINTS on: January 30, 2018, 12:04:32 PM
Kaya wag nega agad.

40  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I'm very disappointed with myself. on: January 30, 2018, 10:37:05 AM
I'm extremely depressed about my impatience and persistence.
I'm a stupid man. Fuck myself.
I bought the ETC when its price was 15$, i kept it for three months, including when it down at 9$, I still don't sell, because i believe it. And when ETC rise to 15$. I sold everything and waited it down $ 13 to buy more. But, fuck myself, the next day it rise to fucking 30$, Are you kidding me?
I bought 5000 XRP from May, i still believe it, I bought more yesterday, I bought when its price was 0,00001610sts, and when it down 0,00001558, i afraid BTC up, XRP down. So i sold everything. And... This morning I woke up with a sense of chest not say words.

This is my mistake, definitely like that. I can't blame anyone.
I told myself, "The market is still there. Nothing to hurry"
I don't complain, i post here just relieve stress. I didn't  tell anyone about this, including my wife.
Thank for listening.

All I can say is Experience is the best teacher. You might have done stupid decisions in the past but it does not mean it has not taught you any lesson. It sure has taught you in a hard way. Do not quit. Improve your trading strategies basing from you mistakes and you should improve to be a good trader next time. Please note that all successful traders also gone through what you have gone now but it should did taught them a valuable lesson and that is why they are successful now and making millions.
