23  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: monero wallet question on: September 01, 2017, 09:44:02 AM
hi
how to access my wallet using view key ?
is it possible using monero gui ? i lost my wallet file and password and only have main address and view key from it .
it was local wallet .
i tried monero gui but cant see where to put view key
any help?
monero is weird because you need all 3 keys to able to spend it.
i have had similar problem with monero. i bought monero physical coin, loaded it with 5 monero, put the private keye under hologram and threw away other keyes. latter realized that i wont be able to spent it with just a private keye. luckily it was same day so i took out those keys from rubbish bin. monero sucks
if you lost private key. forget about it. burning cash. how many moneros youve lost?
24  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: WOOow 73 Confirmations and still not confirmed on: August 29, 2017, 08:12:07 PM
y
are you suuure it has been confirmed !!!
Yes, it is definitely confirmed.  86 confirmations so far, 0.023045 BTC:
https://blockchain.info/en/tx/db4c02c63e43a284c4b9dd0ad3206f61ce6f622e825412c8bbc37567485665ca

(you even said it had 73 confirmations in your subject!)

You need to contact their support - looks like there are several ways of doing so on their contact page - this is a problem with their service or their wallet.

There may be a method of exporting the private key from that address if you are using their online wallet or app and importing it using something else (or sweeping).

thnks for your help  .. i contacted them and they said they have a lot of transactions so they may take time .. i am really upset because i need this money to pay an invoice ... please could you suggest to me another wallet that i can reserve my money in  securelly with some options like  free exchange into dollar and some options of withdraw  .. i will appreciate that .

29  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Created a new wallet from old seed and now btc is saying Replaceable on: August 27, 2017, 09:28:09 PM
I just realized the receiving address of the new wallet did not match up with where the actual btc was sent to. SO i recovered my seed and the addresses match up now........

Now it just says synchronizing but there is nothing in my History..... So what can I do  to speed this up because I check the blockchain and its 100% confirmed on the senders end....

any help plz thanks!

just wait. your transfer is in previous block and your wallet is a bit behind,so it don't "see" a transaction yet. just relax and wait until it syncs Smiley
glad to help
p.s. if you use hd wallet, it generates new address all the time you request a payment
p.s.s. make sure you have some free space in your hdd
30  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Created a new wallet from old seed and now btc is saying Replaceable on: August 27, 2017, 09:21:49 PM
you have a seed, then you can uninstall electrum from your pc. install new version, and revoke your wallet with your seed. wait to sync. should be good
make sure you have your recovery seed written correct. backups are very important Smiley
31  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Created a new wallet from old seed and now btc is saying Replaceable on: August 27, 2017, 09:15:15 PM
just close it and reopen. wait to sync. if you have private keys you dont have to worry .it will get sorted.

33  Economy / Economics / Re: Which country would be the first to eliminate fiat and convert to crypto fully? on: August 27, 2017, 06:46:03 PM
None. no country will fully use bitcoin. not till we alive. all wars is based on money and religion. so if this comes even close, we can expect a war...
34  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Ready to buy? on: August 27, 2017, 06:22:06 PM
I have been reading and studying for months now trying to learn what I need to be an educated bitcoin user who knows the risk reward.  I think I’m at the point where I have enough confidence in the architecture that I’m ready to get in.

I will present my plan and all I’m asking for is for more knowledgeable people to turn on the red light if I’m going into water which is too deep.  If people tell me to hold off, I can keep digging to come up with a better plan.  Here is what I would like to do.

I would like to get a Trezor hardware wallet, purchase 10 bit coins and place the keys on it.  Back it up so my keys are safe.

Next, use the Coinbase exchange or some other well known trusted exchange to hold 1 bit coin for day to day use or with a wallet on my smart phone.   If I transfer this to another user, I can then move another bitcoin from my TREZOR wallet to Coinbase.

Am I in the ball park or does my plan need more work?  If it seems reasonable, then I can dig into the mechanics of doing this.
sounds like a good plan. Do that.
Just be aware from where you are buying bitcoins.
And instead of coinbase, pick blockchain wallet for daily use - i trust blockchain, recommended
35  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Created a new wallet from old seed and now btc is saying Replaceable on: August 27, 2017, 05:58:16 PM
Wondering since its a new wallet it may take some time to 'synch' with the blockchain and : in network it shows 'blockchain 482236 blocks'
getting block headers from 5 nodes and server address....

Does it just take some time for it to 'synch' or is something else wrong?

Thanks
no , nothing wrong mate Smiley
just wait your wallet to be synced. or if you want import wallet seed words to blockchain.info wallet, so you don't need to wait.
simply, you bitcoin core wallet do not see your transactions yet, because it is many blocks behind.
so all is good,
1. wait until it syncs
2. import wallet seed to blockchain wallet and skip waiting
36  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Created a new wallet from old seed and now btc is saying Replaceable on: August 27, 2017, 05:51:27 PM
Hello,

I wanted to generate a new btc address so I created a new wallet using my prior seed from original wallet. I just had btc transfered to it and now electrum is showing the transfer as 'replaceable' and and the bottom it's stuck on Synchronizing.......

Any ideas? Any help much appreciated.
1. you have recovered your old wallet from the seed words?
2. you have generated new address and sent BTC t it?
3. what wallet have you used when sending? what to receive?
4. bit more info so we could help.

Try to close your wallet and re-open. if it's syncs you should see incoming bitcoins.

or at least give us tx id, so we could see the situation better

38  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: looking to buy TEZOS contribution contracts, lower than 0.1 on: August 27, 2017, 07:07:42 AM
dont even know what this means. the ico price of tezzies was $0.5 so you want them at 0.1?

shit man i would like to buy btc at 5x less than what it is now too  Shocked
no.
i meant, if you had invested 0.03btc for example, i would offer you the same amount right now, so you dont need to wait for a refund.
simply you will get back you coins without waiting.
and ill profit from bcc that will be credited to me as well.
many people tired to wait for refund to happen, so here is helping hand
39  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / looking to buy TEZOS contribution contracts, lower than 0.1 on: August 27, 2017, 06:49:52 AM
