21  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Vertcoin [VTC][ANN] Segwit Activated | ASIC Resistant Decentralized GPU Mining on: October 30, 2017, 08:57:06 AM
Can someone enlighten me about what is going on with vert at the moment?

Have had some ever since the first bull run crashed hard and been waiting for something like this for 2 years.

Definately not complaining, but need to figure out how much to cash now and how much to hold for longer term.

Active nodes litecoin now: 1090
Active nodes vertcoin now: 359
-> Litecoin has three times more nodes than Vertcoin (but Vertcoin nodes are on the rise)

Litecoin price: 57 USD
Vertcoin price: 5 USD
-> Litecoin is 11 times more expensive than Vertcoin

And this is just analyzing two details out of many.
For more: https://bitinfocharts.com/

Don't take my words as investment advice, only my thinking: hold on boys, it's Vertcoin time to shine!

Is there a real dev team for this coin? If so how do they get funded?

It is all explained on the website.

Wooot??
I've been looking and watching and waiting for the one click miner all along, then I now realize it is out?
Wow, great! the b2x fork has taken too much of my attention...

I'm looking forward to trying this tool!

As far as I know this is a first, right? Like no other coin has got this...

This fork has attracted a lot of attention this is not who simply did not expect. And I'm the stupid person who sold at 30K sat all their savings VTC. I just didn't expect such rapid growth.

Never sell all crypto of one kind. I always sell only a part if gain is decent but keep rest. If you ask me you can buy back because this coin looks really really promising.
25  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [ICO] MONETHA - Decentralised reputation with built-in payments on: October 27, 2017, 09:05:25 AM
I sold all my tokens and I'm out of this scammy shit. So you can go and f..ck yourself together with Eric Duprat and Kellogg Fairbank.

Bye. Some lucky guy bought your cheap monetha.

This said, losing 2/3 of the ICO price is really strange. I have some ideas on the reason why, but I will not share them here because I would be taken as a fudder.

Anyways, project looks legit to me, but team Monetha understand that it's also in your interest to increase the hype and visibility of your project. I hope you can take my advice to showcase your MVP better seriously. That IMO should provide instant boost.

I for once will certainly use my erc20s to buy your merchadise and see what happens.

Did you guys hear anything...are there any plans to burn the remaining tokens of MTH at this point?

Burning the coins... it would actually be a nice idea to bring back the price of this token where I believe it belongs (definitely above the 160th ish position on coinmarketcap).

The second best is to make the MVP a little more visible than what it currently is. right now if i want to see how it works I need to create a woocommerce out of the blue, integrate and pay the fees just to see what it is. Monetha, you could create a test shop, sell your own merchandise out of that, and show the rest of the people your MVP.
That I think is easy to do?
28  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [PPC] PPCoin Released! - First Long-Term Energy-Efficient Crypto-Currency on: October 23, 2017, 12:13:18 PM

Beautiful article and so true. The real reason why ppc will be a winner in long term is the pos feature. Many people now don't understand (I tool six months to get my head around it) but when the energy consumption is just too much people will turn to this and other pos coins.

The only question I have is: why now??
I was rather sure this coin would rise... but why now??

I'd say the upcoming block reward halvening could be one reason. AFAIK it will happen at block 840000, which should be around mid-December.

Ah yes you're right. This is good factor also

Hey there. First time I post on the Vertcoin thread.
I studied Vertcoin a month ago and I decided to buy some. I took them out of bitter and into my coinomi wallet with a view of keeping them long term.
Clearly what attracted me is the Asiic resistance.

Also clearly I am very glad that this coin is now  giving me something like 200% return and still I will not sell it.

The only question I have is: why now??
I was rather sure this coin would rise... but why now??

Only because of ledger support? Mind me, it's good news, still...
Your views are appreciated.

some would say its the Ledger support, the coin received a lot of free publicity since last week.

Well, let's enjoy the lift. For me I am really curious about the one click miner... looking forward to that.

Technically I believe that "Fiat transactions" on the eth blockchain are already possible since tether has created erc20 usdt (and possibly other currencies).

On another note,  monetha, will a merchant be able NOT to accept certain erc20 coins if he deems they are too risky?
See the seemingly everywhere airdrops of "esomething"... If I were a merchant I would not accept any of those.

Hello je@ngrey83, thanks for your question.

When you are saying "too risky", are you referring to the fluctuations of it or what exactly?

First, its important to understand that Monetha will only add tokens that have a good daily trading volume. Usually "suspicious" tokens don't have a healthy trading volume because the public doesn't believe in it.
Second, any merchant will have an option to automatically convert it to another currency (FIAT, ETH or any other ERC-20), which would allow him to mitigate the risk.

Regards,
Monetha Team

Thanks for the quick reply. OK then, if you accept only reputable, high volume ERC20 (e.g.: OMG, PAY, etc) then great, answers my concern.
What I meant by risky is all the new airdrops (EBTC, ELTC, etc etc). I mean, there are so many of them and the likely value of each is limited...
32  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Token eLTC (ELTC4) on: October 21, 2017, 01:49:55 PM
If you refer to ELTC4 to what Imtoken calls as such, it's called ELTC2 on etherdelta.

You didnt get my question. When one uses Monetha to pay for food with eg eth -> see my question
Hello corleto, thanks for your question!

Once the merchant integrates Monetha in his shop, the prices of his items will be in FIAT currency. Once a customer decides to checkout and use Monetha as a payment gateway, we will calculate the value in ETH or any other ERC-20 token in real time moment of the transaction. These prices will be determined by the exchanges (market price).

Regards,
Monetha Team

One of Monetha's stretch goals is to process fiat transactions on the blockchain, right?

Hello daniweb, thanks for your question!

We are looking into FIAT to FIAT transactions on Blockchain very seriously, and the development of it may come sooner than Milestone #5. An important point to realize here, is that we will act according to our customer and merchant needs - meaning that we may implement this sooner if we notice demand from our clients.

Regards,
Monetha Team

35  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Altcoins that will survive in 2018? on: October 21, 2017, 12:42:14 AM
I think Ethereum can exist in 2018 because a lot of new altcoin are made from this platform and certainly in the future Ethereum will probably cost $ 1000 and we should trust this.

If eth gets massively adopted (it seems on track), if some smart erc20 is developed (not the current ico traps), and serious business starts using it, eth can be the most successful coin in the long run.
36  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: $2300 for ethereum mining. on: October 21, 2017, 12:34:12 AM
But is it worth investing in eth mining today considering that it will be pos soon??
37  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is the best coin for beginners to start trading? on: October 21, 2017, 12:29:59 AM
Bitcoin. Or,  better said, a fraction of bitcoin first if you wants to see how it works.
38  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: All coins are now dying, what do you think? on: October 21, 2017, 12:26:19 AM
Of course they are not dying, this hype about BTC Gold is absurd to me people selling their alts for nothing and will regret a lot soon.

When finally the last fork is done (b2x) then I hope no more money is produced out of thin air (if it is money at all since I believe btcgpu is close to 0 value) and things will get better.  Also,  the more people understand cryptocurrency instead of just speculating on it, the more they will understand that there are several projects other than btc worth buying. Clearly truth be told there are several others which are clear scams or that lack core development.

Looking at this coin chart that always comes down from the beginning of the show up to now, what triggered it?

My opinion from a previous post:

..... from the bottom you can only go up....
Part of this crash was people saying SCAM, then they (Monetha Team) prove it was not scam.....
then people asking for transparency, and they have increased communication; maybe not the news we expected, but communication at least....
then the community ask for new exchanges and Binance arrives (and I can smell 1 more very soon)...
I think the team already know that the next steps are development and more development and then more development...

Good times will come before the BTC fork, you´ll see....  from the bottom you can only go up.

Venga Monetha!!!

Well,  let's look at the positive side. With btc so high in value think about how fast it can skyrocket the value of projects the size of monetha.
Monetha just needs to showcase their mvp better and get some customers to use it and then mission accomplished.
