21  Economy / Economics / Re: Wise thing to do with your savings. on: June 10, 2018, 03:26:37 PM
I see that many of you actually liked the concept of 20 % method wherein you allot 20% of your earnings to be saved as emergency fund.
So I was thinking, if that 20% allotted will be invested in a time deposit kind of account, will it still be possible to earn as much or invest it in cryptocurrency? Or maybe just let the money sleep until such time you will need it?
What will be a wise kove to do with the noney you have saved up?

You could (and probably should) put it into some form of a safer investment. There are a lot of stock options out on the market that allow for pretty continual growth albeit very slow. This would be better than just leaving your money in a risky investment or just letting it sit under a mattress somewhere because at least you collect some interest. As you keep making money, you'll end up with more in that emergency fund until it becomes something that you can actually work with in a few years/decades.
It depends on the person how he can manage his savings. I, for example, I have saved enough money from my recent campaigns and because I came from being a poor guy, I cant manage to control myself spending on things that I do not need because it is my first time to have that huge amount of money. So after I spend most of my money, I came into this realization that I needed to budget because I have more important things to be prioritized. You may also want to start even a small business, so that you can even grow your earnings.
22  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is worth buying coins under $1? on: June 10, 2018, 03:02:55 PM
What's your opinion on buying new emerging coins that are not yet on top and cost less than 1 dollar?
How do you decide whether they have potential to grow or not?
I think it is just okay to buy that as long as you can see potential on that coin. If you have bought huge quantities of that coin ,you can make big profits but it is kind of risky because it can also make you lose money. Some are considered shit coins, those coins that are almost priceless and does not succceed are considered shitcoins so beware of it.
23  Economy / Economics / Re: Digital Money = Cashless Society on: June 10, 2018, 02:54:18 PM
It is said now China is a cashless society. Use of debit and credit cards in shops/stores, online pay bills, shopping online.

Money earned from the internet is known as digital/electronic money. People who earn money from the internet, they get paid money in electronic form by payment processors such as skrill, perfectmoney, alipay, paypal, bank-wire transfers because online workers are worldwide.

Last month, I got $20 from online surveys. The money was sent to my bank account via online payment processor. Now if I buy 2 shirts using debit cards at offline or online stores, there is no cash involved but I have 2 shirts.

Bitcoin is a part of digital money. How is digital money is your country ??
Digital money is widely used in our country. There are many apps that allow you to store your money in a virtual wallet like coins.ph. We also use it to pay bills without needing to queue in line. More and more people are using it in our country because of its convenience.
24  Economy / Speculation / Re: Does bitcoin will double its value by the end of the year? on: June 10, 2018, 02:49:07 PM
Despite recent price woes, experts are predicting that Bitcoin will double in value by the end of the year.
https://www.newsbtc.com/2018/06/07/experts-predict-bitcoin-will-double-in-value-by-the-end-of-the-year/

Do you think this will happen? If this will happen I will invest most of my money in this bitcoin.
with the current situation of bitcoin now, I think it is not likely to double its price now. That seems impossible with the current trend. Maybe it can double its price within the next years but in just a few months? I think that is impossible.
25  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: We should write about our successes to increase Bitcoin adoption on: June 09, 2018, 12:03:12 PM
I was going through a African airport today, on my way back from a project that we launched in Kenya and I saw this book in a little book shop, Mr Bitcoin: How I became a millionaire at 21 by Mpho Dagada

http://jacana.bookslive.co.za/blog/2018/06/07/launch-mr-bitcoin-how-i-became-a-millionaire-at-21-by-mpho-dagada-7-june/

Even though this might not be one of the best books that I have ever read, it shows the success that might be possible, even in countries where you might never have thought that it was possible.

I spend most of my flight home reading the book and it made me think that more people should write books and articles on their successes with Bitcoin to increase adoption.

People like the rags to riches stories and it motivates them to achieve the same level of success.  Wink

Since I have not read this book so I cannot say how good this book is. I a not impressed by the title of book especially the word "millionaire". This will only attract the people for get rich scheme and get scammed.  I believe in attracting the mass with technology or by usefulness not by the money involved.
LN network is not stable right now and I think we have plenty of things to do before it can be adopted by masses.

I agree with you about writing articles and book but title of this book  does not look a good fit to me.
As the saying says, do not judge the book by its cover and we can apply it literally. Sure the title plays a huge aspect in the book but the title does not contain all the contents of the book itself. I hope this book have atleast ways on how to deal with problems encountered in bitcoin not just how he manages to get millionaire at the age of 21.
26  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Eth Worth $30. Is it possible? on: June 09, 2018, 11:28:12 AM
I am hodling few coins in an exchange and do some trading. Cut losses were fine with me 'coz I'm a bit scared of high loss, I am just playing in a safety mode.

But, while many are happy with the eth's continuously pumping and traders are happy to see the market's optimistic view, I am still here waiting for the Eth to drops heavily like at least $30. So, I can buy some and will experience the fruits of eth's benefits as well.  Cool Is it possible now, to reached down it's value like that? Like hello? I've been waiting for a couple of months. Lol

Am I the only one here, in the contrary of patiently waiting for eth to dump like hell?
This one is an example of a greedy cryptocurrency user. Ethereum will probably always stay as the top altcoin and dropping to 30 us dollars is almost impossible if we base on the trend. Volatility has little much something to do with this and that cant even make it to drop to 30 usd. Lastly, why would you wish something that will negatively affect most users just for you own's sake?  Is that plain greediness?
27  Economy / Economics / Re: DO NOT SELL! JUST HODL - You've not loss any money if you haven't sold. on: June 09, 2018, 11:11:43 AM
Bitcoin dipped to 7500$ and i think now it is danger zone could go to 3000$-4000$ again.
Good chance for newcomers, sorry for those who bought bitcoin at 18,000$ an 11,000$ Cheesy

What do you think? How low bitcoin can go?

Just hodl it
This can become new opportunity for those who have missed bitcoin at its peak. Bitcoin has dropped so low and this can be the time to buy even more bitcoins. We can hodl it for a long time and expect for huge profits after some years. Also holding can make you lose money if bitcoin's price is continuously dropping. We cannot tell, but if you want profit, take the risk and have some bitcoins in your wallet.
28  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why are banks and governments scared of Bitcoin? on: May 23, 2018, 04:22:06 PM
So many countries now were prohibiting the use of virtual cryptocurrencies. And to think that many unemployed individuals were beginning to uplift their way of living because of their dealings with cryptocurrencies. Banks doesn't expressly say why it is banning the use of Bitcoin.
What do you think is the reason behind this?
I think it is the other way around, bitcoin should fear the government because anytime, the government can stop and restrict all the transaction and usage of bitcoins in a country. I think it is not because they fear bitcoin but it is what they think the better for the country because as we know, bitcoin has been used in many illegal activities including scams and etc.
29  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Learning Cryptocurrency in Universities? on: May 23, 2018, 01:34:22 PM
Do you think that cryptocurrency should be taught in schools or University? Specially in the field of business management?

As a student, I believe it will give us an advantage to this so called cryptoworld, right?
As a college student, I am striving to reach my dreams and I am currently struggling about financial means. Good thing I was introduced to this cryptocurrency thing and it helped me a lot. So a cryptocurrency subject is a good thing in universities because it can help a lot of people and they can also contribute in the cryptocurrency world which is good on both parties.
30  Economy / Economics / Re: Working smart vs working hard - an ultimate guide on: May 23, 2018, 12:45:17 PM
Many people say that you should work hard if you want to succeed in life and rise to riches. I'd rather say that working hard will only make your boss richer, not yourself. On the other hand, there is an age-old adage which says that you should be working smarter, not harder. But working smarter is a vague idea, and I'm interested to hear what people have to say on this topic. As far as I'm concerned, I think that working smart comes down to creating environment where you will have more chances to meet Lady Luck smiling at you, where you will be able to hit a lucky strike because luck plays an ever-important role in our lives. For example, if you want to find a date to have a romantic relationship with or you are looking for a one-night stand only, you will go to a beach or a bar since your chances are higher there, right? The same approach seems to be applicable to work as well. In other words, stick around the places where your chances of success are the highest.

So share your opinions here, guys. What is your practical take on working smart?
In order to achieve success, it is needed for a man who has the will to succeed. A man needs to be smart because there are many challenges before you achieve success, so you need to be smart to deal with those and you can also think of ways on how you can be a successful person. A person also needs to be hardworking because knowledge is wasted if not used so make use of it and be a hardworking person. I also indicate luck because not all hardworking and smart person are successful, sometimes we need luck in our life. Some people has given the opportunity which does not have in other people.
31  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What to do if you lose $2,000 in trading? on: May 23, 2018, 09:26:02 AM
If you lose $2,000 worth of cryptocurrency, then there is a problem to you. Check first yourself if you have capability in trading because if you will continue what will you do, it may lead to total bankruptcy. Unless, you are a millionaire.
Trading is a risky way of earning, you may gain or lose money. If you will enter the world of trading, be wisely and knows every side wether dump or pump of the coins you hold.
yeah because 2000 us dollar is a huge amount, for us simple traders that can make us really upset because we do not own a lot of money. Mistakes happens and it should not stop you from doing what you love, instead be better at it so you can be successful the next time you do trading.
32  Economy / Economics / Re: How bitcoin can help for working abroad specially OFW on: May 23, 2018, 08:50:35 AM
Bitcoin/Coins.ph are so many way to make our life easier specially for OFW.
*They can use it to remit a money for their family in Philippines in a very convenient.
*Bitcoin is also way to earn extra money by using earning some satoshi or faucet.
Please share more on how bitcoin can help.
Bitcoin greatly helps ofws since you can give your earnings from being an OFW to your family while having a money of your own. While you are working abroad, sometimes the expenses are more expensive than in the Philippines, so you can use your own money through bitcoin and you can also save money while you work.
33  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: A successful trader must be an educated trader? on: May 22, 2018, 03:18:19 PM
Is it true to state that every successful trader is an educated trader. We know how trading is tedious, reading of chart, analysing the market and making a decisive decision. Do you agree any successful trader must be an educated?
of course, even a simple trader needs to have enough knowledge to succeed in every trades. Trading is so complex and it has a lot of details to be learned, if you mean being educated as someone who graduated in a degree, well I think it is not needed. A successful trader must be professional on what he is doing, trading. There are some traders that haven't even reached college but got rich through trading.
34  Other / Off-topic / Re: How Bitcoin Change your life. on: May 22, 2018, 02:05:55 PM
Firstly , the payment system changed significantly.
Secondly, it attracts more and more people towards the crypto world.
Then it skyrocketed its value as high as $20,000.
Banks and major financial institutions are envy about it, they try to bring it down.
It has much influence on our life, good or bad.
What do you think ?
Bitcoin for me is a life saver, it plays a significant role in my life, I have used the money I earned when our parents does not have money for my tuition fee. I am close to being not enrolled because I have no money at that time. What I did is I cashed out my remaining balances but that is not enough so I borrowed money to my classmates. I pay them using money that I got here.
35  Economy / Economics / Re: Is Bitcoin Money or Currency on: May 16, 2018, 05:57:43 PM
mon·ey (noun)

- a current medium of exchange in the form of coins and banknotes; coins and banknotes collectively.
---

cur·ren·cy read as ˈkərənsē (noun)

-a system of money in general use in a particular country.

So, is bitcoin money or currency?
currency refers to the money that a country is using and they are almost similar to money. Currency is used as a money and bitcoin is used like that. Although it is a currency, people use it as money to pay bills or something. Just like how dollar is used.
36  Economy / Speculation / Re: What does the future of bitcoin look like?? on: May 16, 2018, 05:54:16 PM
the future of bitcoin can see more excited and joyful once it reach to 20k$ then it will take totally command over the media for which the demands will be increase and also most important the investment will furthermore rise
but we cannot deny the fact that bitcoin dropped tremendously after that 20 000 us dollar price last december 2017.The price is affected by the demand to bitcoin and I think the reason why it came down is because investors are lacking interest because of the high transaction fee. I think every year, it will come to its peak then months later it will go down, and the process repeats.
37  Economy / Economics / Re: China will become Super Power ? on: May 16, 2018, 01:41:29 PM
hi .. .Roll Eyes

China will become super power in few years !! sure

First reason is that they are creating everything expect only one thing .. .and the thing is Medical products .. not medical instruments ...

but they are working on them too they will manufacture them too .. !!

and GuyZZZ ? you know ? why china is not raising there currency price ? ? ?  Think .. !! will reveal.
China is actually powerful and I think the reason behind this is their mentality.Although they produce low quality products in some countries, look at the product on their own country, it is the exact opposite. Chinese people are business minded and they always think on what can make them rich.
38  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Mining , Is it worth it? on: May 16, 2018, 08:51:05 AM
Hello guys, I have a friend who told me about BITCOIN MINING.

What do you think? Is it worth it ? Buying Hardwares / Mining Rigs and plus the TIME to be consume.
I'm not even familiar with it , so I'm probably asking for advice on for those old miners.

Electricity here in PH is so expensive. Do you have some tips and tricks?

Thanks in advance guys !  Wink
I think mining by yourself especially in the Philippines is not worth it. This summer season, the electricity became expensive than before and you should have a huge capital before starting.  You just need a good unit.I guess it will be worth it in the long run but it takes so much time before you get back what you invested on equipments and electricity bill. Also it should be done with enough knowledge and experience since people who do mining is experienced and professional when it comes to cryptocurrency.
39  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How Much Should You Invest in Bitcoin? on: May 16, 2018, 08:21:04 AM
I often get asked privately if Bitcoin is worth an investment. My answer is a whopping yes….invest your time.
The price fluctuation of Bitcoin is certainly fascinating, but how cryptocurrencies (and blockchain, more on that soon) will affect you, your job, your business, and humans collectively is far more lucrative.
The financial (and in turn, geopolitical) institutions are about to go through what the media (music, books, TV, newspapers, cinema) industry went through since the rise of social media during the past decade.
Your investment in time learning about blockchain uses will far outweigh the investing of your $ € ¥ £ etc..

Investing can be extremely profitable once done successful. If we're talking about bitcoin here and not altcoin, you should not worry that much but you still needs to be careful. You should just invest amount that you are willing and ready to lose since investing also has risks but it is also rewarding.
40  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin as savings, emergency needs possible? on: May 16, 2018, 08:17:17 AM
So far there are many concerns regarding on bitcoin advantage. I have read a lot of it here in our forum. Thus really make sense why should we invest in bitcoin? Well i know that you can add up more when comes to the advantage of investing bitcoin from the other members as well. In fact i get a lot of idea from them from reading and reading from their post. Thus includes bitcoin as a form of savings highlights the best idea on investing bitcoin which could be later use as for emergency needs also. So how it will work? Well i have some extra money from my salary so instead of putting it to my piggy bank i will invest it here in cryptocurrency though  it is not that big yet it could be consider as savings. From time to time as other members done like holding and selling it in the right time will do also. So it will be savings plus profit and that could also be use for emergency needs and easier to get or convert it to money for emergency uses unlike lending money from banks that will cater 2-3days process before you get your money. So this is the best idea i guess. How about you?Could you consider this thoughts?
I think that is a good idea but it has negative sides though. The good thing is you will have money when needed or when emergency comes but the negative is, what if the price of bitcoin has gone down when you need the money. It will have negative impact to you since you just spent too much money during the dump so when the pump comes, your money will not pump that high.
