21  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Investment Cryptocurrency on: January 18, 2018, 08:55:06 AM
Not even the most experienced of traders can confidently say that they are good at what they're doing. The world of crypto is very unpredictable indeed. We could see it for the past week, the sudden fluctuation of values of most crypto.

Woah, sounds like a plan. An idiotic one that is. I'm not quite sure if your serious or just trolling around here. If it was the latter, then thanks for the good laugh. But if it's the former, I can only say good luck to you my friend. It's your property so you can do whatever you want with it. May god bless you on your bitcoin journey.
23  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is it time to buy bitcoin? on: January 17, 2018, 05:14:00 AM
I think buying Bitcoin right now with its current value is a fair enough reason considering the huge drop from 16k+ down to 11k+. I think this has been the trend of bitcoin every year so if you believe that bitcoin will rise in value after this drop(which i'm fairly sure it will), then buy some bitcoin. Just remember that in this industry, you are at your own risk.

This project is unique and for sure it is going to be the next big thing. I have filled the google form to join this campaign and how do i check if my application has been selected or not ?

It is on the 2nd page of the thread. The spreadsheet is open for everyone to check.

Just a quick question sir @hua_hui. It is said in the Signature campaign that it is limited to 15 participants per rank. But when i checked the spreadsheet, the member rank has quite a number of participants. Would appreciate if you could clarify this sir. thanks.

Hello! Joining the Signature campaign. Hope to be accepted. Best regards to this Project.

It is quite unfortunate that the project has turned out to be what it is now, a scam. But if there is anything we got from this, that is the learning experience. I'm not even mad at this point in time that i haven't got paid for my effort because deep down i know i could only be blamed for my decision to partake in this project. To the people behind the C project, Thank you for this eye opening experience! You have made me grow as a person, even if just a little bit. I hope that all the participants have learned from this experience as I have.
28  Economy / Speculation / Re: And now we are below 13000$ - down 6000$ in just 4 days on: December 22, 2017, 07:38:29 AM
I don't know if this could be the "bursting of the bubble" they're talking about. But I think this just just a normal thing with bitcoin. Especially Christmas is coming and a lot of people trying exchange bitcoin to fiat so they could use it.
29  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: How i rescue unconfirmed transaction on: December 21, 2017, 07:03:17 AM
Nothing we can do except patiently wait for it to confirm. You could have opted for a higher transaction fee for a faster confirmation. Anyways, you don't have to worry if it doesn't confirm because you will get back your bitcoin. Well, technically it is still in your wallet and it will only leave your wallet when your transaction is confirmed.

Is there anyway for me to remove transaction from network ? because if it is in my wallet but i see that amount of bitcoin is not showing in wallet and i can't spend it

Sadly, you can't remove it. Try to wait a little bit longer since it's just only 2 days ago. I've done a transaction a week ago that got confirmed within 5 days. Just wait and be patient.
30  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Bitcoin Transaction on: December 21, 2017, 06:12:48 AM
Comparing your transaction with mine, https://blockchain.info/tx/c4839b900c07a9d8af78b07c26431e29f2899d7221c75ac8b99499c92e669972 (trying to experiment transferring low amount just to see how long will it take), this took more than five days to confirm. With your transaction fee of 13 sat/B, expect to have longer confirmations than mine. in all honesty, the fee you set is really a bit too low.

32  Economy / Speculation / Re: If you knew Bitcoin would never change in value, would you buy it? on: December 21, 2017, 04:02:57 AM
Everyone seems to forget the real reason why Bitcoin was created. I would still buy it as long as bitcoin can serve its purpose as a decentralized, peer-to-peer system of digital currency. Although transaction fees and confirmations are a bit of a problem right now, if we apply that bitcoin's value will never change, then there shouldn't be a problem.
33  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin to eliminate unemployment. on: December 20, 2017, 05:35:20 AM
Almost every country has unemployment problems. There are many young boys who are working unemployed. But the days of settling their turn are over. Now, if you wish, you can earn a lot of money sitting in the house. Bitcoin can earn their unemployment by earning. It can be possible to improve the country by improving their lives by earning bitcoin. That is why Bitcoin among all Habetahale to spread the knowledge of the second day will increase the demand for Bitcoin.

Bitcoin to eliminate unemployment??  This is quite a claim. What do you mean when you say "bitcoin can earn their unemployment  by earning"? Did you just disregard bitcoins volatility? If you think that bitcoin is the end game, then you better stop that mindset. Because if you assume that once your involved in bitcoin your destined to get rich, then your going to be completely disillusioned by the reality of it. Better get a stable job mate.
34  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Can bitcoin cash surpass bitcoin in the future? on: December 20, 2017, 02:44:20 AM
Let's just not completely rule out the possibility that every alt coin has the potential grow. I know everyone is saying that a forked coin will remain a forked and will never be the same as the original, but you can't deny it of it's potential because there will always be people who prefer to use them. Ultimately, what determines the success of a coin is its users right?
35  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BTC FEES SO HIGH on: December 20, 2017, 02:31:26 AM
Nothing much we could do about it. You could just tune down transaction fee lower than recommended(if there is that option in coinbase, idk because i don't use coinbase) albeit transaction confirmations takes longer. Patience is what we need right now.
36  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why people sell bitcoins? on: December 19, 2017, 02:54:09 AM
A simple question requires the simplest answer. People sell bitcoin because of profit. Since you invested in bitcoin, you ought to have your investment returned to you. Even if you say that bitcoin value will continue to skyrocket so you should HODL, it is impractical because hodling bitcoins forever is unrealistic. At some point in time, you will have to exchange it to cash.
37  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Huge fee in blockchain.info on: December 18, 2017, 11:44:08 PM
hey guys
whats goin on with blockchain.info. there is Huge fee calculation on trasfer

it asking 0.00354522 BTC fee for transferin 0.02BTC  !

Simple... Bitcoin value is very high right now. Too many users and too many transactions taking place. The network is more or less becoming congested and with bitcoin scalability problem being unresolved, then it will remain what it is now I'm afraid. Just tune down your transaction fee, because we can't really do anything with recommended fees right now.
38  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What Can You Say On Bitcoin's Transaction Cost? on: December 18, 2017, 06:15:24 AM
I personally think that the transaction cost of Bitcoin right now is still reasonable. With bitcoin becoming mainstream, more and more people use it everyday. The more user, the more congested the network and the longer  the transactions are confirmed. But you can also set your fees at a lower sat/b rather than the recommended one, that is if your fine for a longer confirmation. I tried it, and it works for me.
39  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is it worth getting paid in Bitcoin for freelance work? on: December 16, 2017, 03:46:43 PM
I’m a web developer/designer and wondered if it’s worth getting paid in bitcoin? I’m from the UK and not sure how it would work in terms of the end of year tax return.

This is actually quite a decent way to earn. You won't have to worry about losing money(if you're afraid of a risky investment) because you are only investing your time and effort. Your only problem will be finding the legit ones that actually pays you and it will be worth it.
40  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Like Visa, Mastercard, Amex, etc Bitcoin will not stand alone on: December 16, 2017, 09:34:49 AM
After reading this forum for long enough I get the impression from most posting here that they believe that Bitcoin will be the ONLY coin accepted by merchants/vendors or otherwise used by the mainstream.  I don't think I've ever read anyone put forth a point of view like I am about to write here and it is this:  Over time, most vendors will accept several cryptos just like they do with multiple credit cards or debit cards.  In the case of cryptos vendors will probably accept more cryptos than they do credit cards.

I posted something earlier questioning the reasons why so many are loyal to Bitcoin vs. other cryptos.  I pointed out that Bitcoin is facing many problems scaling and therefore has high fees and long transaction times for typical purchases.  Those that respond miss the point when they say that "sooner or later other cryptos will see the same problems".  The point is that these alt-coins currently do not have the same problems and they may have already solved or plan to solve any potential scaling problems.  We all will have to wait and see what happens.  While all of this is sorting itself out I believe that vendors will expand the range of coins that they accept.  The less volatile the better.

Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Diners Club, Discover, etc are accepted by most mainstream merchants.  Now swap out these credit cards for the top cryptos...you can do it in your head but if you want to write it out here that's up to you.  I believe that this is a vision of the crypto future...and the coins worth buying if one is so inclined.

Do you agree or disagree with this assessment?  Why or why not?

I kinda agree with what your pointing out in here. With all the problems with regards to the usage of Bitcoin(high fees, slow transactions, etc...), merchants will perhaps diversify themselves in accepting payments with other crypto. Much like your analogy on visa, mastercard, and etc...
