.. does anyone think banks run their terminals on windows?! lol
No, but the vast majority of their users do. False. Android, Iphones phones = linux Any touchpad = linux Apple Ios = linux Chromebook = linux Kindle = linux Most of you already use linux and don't even know. Running financial software on windows is madness. Stop the madness. Think of the children.

This was an atomic swap with one side not having either BTC or KMD running, it was purely using electrum servers.
I think it is the first such atomic swap that was automatically ordermatched and completed. Of course a year from now, maybe others will get lots of press for achieving this too.
It is still in debugging and I just got it working today. So we are now internally testing SPV barterDEX, along with setting up electrum servers for dozens of coins
for those that understand the tech a bit, I will let you think through the implications a bit
This is most excellent news. It means that barterdex can function just like those centralized exchanges. {sarcasm}Of course, this news should push the price down, so Ive set my buys at around $1. Cause as we all know jl777 can't ever finish a project befoe moving on to the next one. Here he is, once again, barterdex native unfinished , and he moves on and makes it easier to use{/sarcasm}

So let me get this straight. Several of you invest your hard earned money into this project but insist on using the super buggy windows os. Then complain because windows is an extremely buggy insecure system.
Ubuntu is FREE. Ubuntu is widely supported. Ubuntu is EASY to install. Ubuntu is easy to use. Komodo works very well in Ubuntu. Ubuntu / komodo can even be run off a thumb drive for a cost of $5.
I understand that some of you might need to google some how-to questions about use, but all of the information is easy to find.
But I also understand that several of you won't even read up a few posts when often the answer to your repeated questions is there.
How did you get so far in life with out knowing how to look up anything? How did you become a crypto investor but insist on using the flawed windows os when an os that works is literally at your fingertips for free?
How come you guys have extra $ to invest but can't even buy a second cpu from craigslist for a ubuntu machine?
Tldr.
Windows is garbage, and you are an idiot if you are trying to keep your crypto on windows.

^ nice try but james was never a nxt dev, and btcd tech migrated to komono.
Wallet works for me no problem
I think the team has been kicking butt, ie: reasons
And Im a pickle when I want to be

I think most haven't had a chance to properly digest this info. The partnership alone is amazing but we need more info , which Im sure will come.
To those making noise in the complaint department, I feel like even if you were getting a blowjob you'd be complaining that your balls arn't getting worked enough.
Seriously, if you have a complaint say it to these gentlemen on slack, they have been some of the most polite and accomidating people in crypto.
If you don't like what you're watching, change the channel, sell, moveon with your life. For everyone else this is a great opportunity to buy kmd on sale.

Great job team! I listened to your anouncement.
I believe this will be a game changer, especially for komodo price with ICO money on platform . Komodo at 1 billion marketcap means only a $10 kmd, this should easily get to $40 short term (within a year).
Can someone please explain the difference between eth and kmd ICO and why eth isnt decentralized.

Thanks, of particular interest to me using the barterdex would be coins that are Proof of Stake type coins like DCR, RADS, STRAT, GAS(from NEO) or interest paying like KMD. Also on the list, where it says Impossible, could it be possible for some of these coins if they made some adjustments like it appears they may do for GAME?: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1266597.msg21357003#msg21357003 STRAT is in the process of being integrated. The issue with the others is that they either do not support native multisig or are missing something like CLTV and/or gettxout . I believe that there are other PoS style coins that can be integrated, as coins implement what we need we will try to get them on BarterDEX. Very impressive list of supported coins. This project is integrating with some very large markets with lots of liquidity (you know what that means, price will be way north of $5). Looks like 48 working coins so far . Way to go guys! 0 Komodo 1 Bitcoin 2 Bitcoin Cash 3 Litecoin 4 Dash 5 Stratis 6 Zcash 7 Dogecoin 8 DigiByte 9 PIVX 10 SysCoin 11 Namecoin 12 MonaCoin 13 LBRY Credits14 Viacoin 15 Bitdeal 16 SIBCoin 17 Crown 18 Chips 19 NAV Coin 20 Vertcoin 21 FairCoin 22 Mooncoin 23 MonetaryUnit 24 Einsteinium 25 FlorinCoin 26 Myriad 27 Zetacoin 28 Hush 29 Creativecoin 30 Bata 31 ZClassic 32 EuropeCoin33 HunterCoin 34 Sexcoin 35 Terracoin 36 ArcticCoin 37 I0Coin 38 Unitus 39 Bitcore 40 Zero 41 SmartCoin 42 Machinecoin 43 HOdlcoin 44 OctoCoin 45 RevolverCoin 46 GlobalToken 47 ArgentumActual working atomic exchange plus order matching and liquidity multiplier This upwards correction if anything like some of the most recent coin corrections could easily send komodo above $3.5 The market hasn't even begun to price the next coming features People are starting to take notice, this one is way underpriced.

Thanks

I think we owe jl777 and his team (grewalsatinder, ptytrader, ca333, pbca26, + the other testers and organizers) a big thank you for your hard work.
I think the project looks great and is coming along really nice.
Also the politeness and prompt replies speaks volumes. This is one of the reasons I stand behind this project ( or I would if I had legs, which I don't cause Im a pickle, but I would if I did)
Is it possible to have some type of barterdex explorer? Something to show the depths of the order books and the liquidity in the system? Maybe the completed trades? Some type of metrics to show off the awesomeness of the system.
Thanks

Litecoin is fast, has liquidity, has community, has a good developer, has a good future,, AND can be atomic swapped! In fact you can create all kinds of litecoin markets and pairings. Want to make a litecoin to zerocash pair? No problem. Be a ltc marketmaker.

Can the barterdex perform like shapeshift?
I understand that one needs the whole blockchain(s) of whatever they are trading; But is it (will it be?) possible send a request to trade similar to the way shapeshift works. That way I don't have to dl whole chain, and can send from web wallets. I assume a node would be taking that request and facilitating that trade for a fee.
Barterdex explorer of completed trades?
Thank you
