21  Other / Meta / Re: Stop Signature campaigns. I need theymos to see this. on: February 26, 2018, 11:51:13 AM
I'm joined this airdrop.
Good project.
I wait for more info but I truly behind this project....

 Grin Wink Grin

Its those shit posts that annoy me the most. And a lot of them are from newbs that don't even have a signature. Admittedly I don't get around the forum much - but the threads I do peruse - those posts there are the single most annoying ones.

Honestly, I like that you are attempting to go about your airdrop process in a different manner to everyone else. (Its creative and innovative and refreshing really.)

But after the 3round review process - what is it that will make your project be worth the effort of your community's participation... Scarcity maybe? Nope, the thought that this is a coin more a f-u to all those out to make a quick buck and instead show that we are wanting to stand up to create a fairer more transparent process... well that's actually just a great way of thinking. Bravo.

I like that you are recording the stakeholders and those currently 'flagged'. At least you are giving them time to sort that out.

25  Other / Off-topic / Re: How many years you had internet connection ? on: February 21, 2018, 12:27:29 AM
Over 20 years - the dial up drama was real... the phone cord extensions required if you wanted to relocate your pc to another part of the house - the fact anytime anyone wanted to use the phone you had to disconnect from the internet if you only had one phone line. The price!! It was astronomical for the amount of data you got. The speed - absolute rubbish!! The connection quality - bad to sh*t if someone was running an electric fence nearby (ok townies might not have had that problem but us farmy peeps... it was a thing lol).
And my god - the loading speeds.......................................... not to mention the type of pc was equally as rubbish - mine had 8mb of ram...

Good times tho Smiley

Any updates on this project - I logged in today and other than a wallet addition (which I guess is a pretty big site addition) I don't see anywhere anything yet covering how users are to be rewarded for our time spent using your site so far.
What the go?
Any new news would be appreciated! Thanks
27  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Cryptowave Node ICO by Cryptoways.com on: February 17, 2018, 02:21:56 PM

I've been using Cryptoways daily since early Dec - so nearly 3 months I'd say. Being a verified Waves based token there has always been a readily available "buy" market on the Dex and unlike the hundreds or unverified Waves based tokens its actually backed by a person, a platform and a community of users.

From the get-go the community has been nothing but interactive and genuinely helpful while you figure out how to get round the forum/platform. I can't say the same for all forums.

I joined Cryptoways to earn free stuff. I'm and Airdrop fanatic. I have received 3 cashouts so far so 3000 free cryptowave (3000CWV). Payment proof is on my twitter, facebook and on the site photo gallery.

Have I at any time prior to the airdrop/node crowdfund been asked to purchase anything? Nope - the opportunities for advertising, buying CWV or VIP have always been part of the site services and available for purchase but it has never been a requirement or necessary to earn free crypto.  Community members can and do earn without requiring they spend or give the site any of their own money.

Positive attributes of Cryptoways.com:
- Free Cryptowave - minimum (auto) cashout from 1000CP -- obtained from daily site interaction for various simply tasks
- Friendly community - learning and growing together -- considering the new cryptosphere contains a lot of inexperienced people there is a need for sites like this to help without labelling people as "newbies" and expecting them to go do their own research of god knows what and still end up with misinformation and a lot of wasted time.
- Advertising options - as someone with a lot of airdrop links but hates shilling - this site offers several link areas that the community can engage with daily. Its win-win without the constant spam barrage.
- POS4all is active on this asset so HODLing CWV earns you free coins anyway via the WavesPlatform.
- The current progress to date has been acheived with no investment (no ICO) undertaken and yet its been able to provide a consistent return to its daily site users.
- Shapeshift gateway

In Jan18 I decided to invest into Cryptoways via the VIP program and apply for a position as a country rep. Choosing to do this was because much like buying any crypto product or service I saw and still see value in the platform and the ability for it to be successful for its community.

Negative attributes of Cryptoways.com:
- Its still a young project and there are quirks that need to be ironed out.
- The linkpost quirk is good at keeping spam posting to a minimum, but it can be frustrating.

Future thoughts on Cryptoways:
There is currently an airdrop and crowdfund happening to help propel the project to its next target of setting up a beneficial Waves Node. For those unfamiliar with the Waves Platform's Leasing Nodes - they are effectively Waves POS. You allocate your crypto to a Node of your choice (leasing) and receive interest back in the form of the currency you are supporting and other random waves tokens.
Running a node should help reinforce Cryptoways as a viable asset choice and being that its a young project its got room for growth.
Also, at the heart of the project is someone passionate about driving the site and token forward. Over the past three months I've witnessed continual progress which is more visible than projects with huge advertising budgets, whale investors, social media managers and influential backers or communities of tens of thousands.

If you are interested in taking a look at the platform, airdrop or crowdfund, there is a link in my website or google cryptoways.com for further info.

30  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Paypal receive payment. Noob question on: February 09, 2018, 04:36:37 AM
Best place to query for Paypal help would be the selfhelp section of Paypal itself. https://www.paypal.com/us/selfhelp

Eitherway - check the help section for specifics relating to your query, but money received is usually available in your Paypal account for spending as soon as Paypal confirm its processed. You can use this balance anywhere you use Paypal or for sending to others.

Withdrawing to a linked bank account can take a little longer and depending on the amount may need you to do the following.

31  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: 🚀 [ANN] StakeUnited.com - Multicoin POS Pool | AUTOMATED | HIGH REFSYSTEM 🚀 on: February 08, 2018, 12:50:46 PM
Haven't tried to withdraw anything from here yet and admit to being as sceptical as anyone else, I mean sending ur coins to a pool is a little like giving them away... BUT... I'm staking shit EMB coins that were going to waste on Cryptopia anyway and I bought a few xGOx because BUZZ couldn't be withdrawn from Yobit.

I've staked for i dunno nearly 2 weeks, and had over 10k EMB rewards, and I didn't put it much xGOx but staked over 60 coins from that.

My experience so far with the site, absolutely fine. And the active Discord channel and Twitter makes them at least visible and contactable if you have a problem.

They are working on new developments - which to me at least shows a team is behind this actively looking to improve itself.

Things to note:

BUZZ is a pile of shit right now and not worth the hassle of trying to get to stake here if you are able to withdraw it from where ever you have it anyway. Don't blame the pool for this.
Deposits into and first staking rewards can take upwards of 24hrs to 48hrs but once its up and running, it stakes and updates the balances regularly.
For the sceptics, its fine, you don't have to post scam alerts on everything you don't like - but if you have some subsatoshi or lowvalue coins just sitting around like EMB this is as good a place as any to keep it even just to test you can deposit, stake and withdraw to post an unbiased post at least to be helpful to others.

Anyway - I just hope they look to add a few more popular POS coins like Linda, PAC, PINK or GRC. There is a voting area on their discord channel as well.
32  Other / Meta / Re: Begging for merit on: February 01, 2018, 01:17:00 PM
Begging for merit should actually just be banned outright. In fact, a name and shame thread so others can permablock them also would be something I would check on a regular basis.

For those seeing posts that are going unrewarded - I thought there was a 'merit source' option. Ie if you are constantly seeing unrewarded posts... collect 10 of them and post them into a section on the Meta board. If a mod checks and agrees that you - I think they award those users for you?? That's how I read it anyway.

And my 2 cents again on the whole merit system - for now, if you are dreaming of having merit and you don't have it or can't get it - then the hardship is something you will need to make peace with. Use the forum for its intended purpose of spreading quality information about topics of interest rather than a way to rank up and cream easy crypto from ICO bounties. Because lets face it, no one would be crying this much if its not because you've just seen your golden goose get run over.

At the end of the day - I'm handling it by just assuming ranking has gone Legacy and the achievement is no longer obtainable. My posting frequency or quality isn't going to change because of it. If anything, apart from the merit drama - I probably wouldn't be saying much at all lol.

33  Other / Off-topic / Re: People who have an online identity - how do you feel if some1 have the same? on: February 01, 2018, 12:47:09 PM
I wonder... does this fall into the category of "googling oneself"? Or typing your own name into Facebook and realising your not the only John Smith?

I know,  I know Smiley A pseudonym or online handle is a little different to ur IRL name but I guess for me - I tend to use variations of my name all over the place so I have some consistency across the channels - but none at the same time. So basically it wouldn't worry me. I'm me and anyone parading as me would find I have no friends, no life, and wouldn't be worth shadowing in any way lol.

If anyone was worried about being misrepresented though, perhaps you could use something else as an identifier like a unique avatar (if available) or signature or something maybe??

Or change your account name to I_am_the_real______ - that always makes me lol seeing those Smiley hehe.
34  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: REBELLIOUS Discussion Thread on: January 31, 2018, 05:16:15 AM
I agree that community has certainly gotten in behind the project. I see there is a new wallet update being released tomorrow. And the token burn thats coming up should help with value correction as well.

The recent drama surrounding the Lvl3 verified Bit-Z accounts required for those who voted to get you 700REBL however seems to have upset a few who obviously only really want the freebies. That's fair enough as well considering its was a freely distributed project. But those people need to take a good long hard look at themselves over the way they are whinging about it.

I've like Rebellious from the moment its teaser trailer dropped. It was just a genuinely awesome trailer that demonstrated the team has something to offer and I only wish that other projects take a leaf from their book on how to make a dramatic entrance/impact and grab your attention. Nothing else has given me legit chills haha.

GO Team REBL!! Go REBL Army!!

There are like 50 real people on this forum.
Rest are bots  Tongue

 Grin

It is quite apparent in this chat forum that there is a total of 50 genuine users.
The remaining guests and users are automate, no doubt.

 Tongue Tongue Grin

OMG I see u dude - and I salute u - hahaha!

I'd give you and the OP a sMerit nod - but i don't got none so salutes are all I can offer.

Is the spammer the OP caught out participating in sig campaigns? Cos the merit system (other than restricting the BTT rank level) does nothing to combat the spam/shitposts that will still be valid under sig campaigns rewardable by the projects/icos so yeh... good one BTT Smiley at least you didn't do what facebook did I suppose and just start refusing linkposts in ur effort to kerb spam Smiley big brother is e'rywhere Wink
36  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Where will your Cryptocurrencies go once you Die??? on: January 29, 2018, 02:50:38 AM
I have not looked into an online option, because well, not for me until its been tried and tested I guess.

For me, crypto-inheritance should be treated as you would any other assets you own. You safeguard your money, investments and property via a will and instructions which you generally leave with your lawyer. You can also leave them instructions for someone to be passed on after death. Like a wildly vague treasure hunt of searching you house for the crypto clues to gain access to all your holdings. Some people might store paper wallets in safety deposit boxes along with cold storage nano wallets or hardrives. Instructions on how to access and convert the coins would also be needed. To make it nice and easy.

But still, the trouble I find is that - does your family have any clue about how to access a pc, multiple wallets, ledger nano's and crypto in general even with good instructions? They are going to be left at the mercy of finding someone to help get them back out - and theres no assurance they don't get ripped off in this process. Or they won't know what the hell do to with them, so it will just go unused.

Its definitely an area that someone (not saying SafeHaven) but someone could probably do well in servicing the need for. But the scam scene... omg it of course would be soo f*cking rude to screw a family over after they lost a loved one, but scammers don't care about that at all! So it would require a huge amount of trust and community building for a project to take this to the level its needed.

37  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How many Bounty Campaigns Allow at a time? on: January 28, 2018, 11:53:18 AM
Just to add - its not Bitcointalk that moderates your bounties in any way.

Every ICO or project you decide to complete bounties for has their own management and tracks them their own way. Which is why you need to read each one's rules, as they will all differ slightly.

Signature campaigns using your Bitcointalk account are definitely one at a time, and not able to be changed for the duration set by the ICO. You can switch them at your leisure, but this will likely void any stakes you might have earned. Each ICO will state how they treat leaving before completion - or ask them prior to starting if its not clear.

38  Other / Meta / Re: How Do You Feel About This New System?? on: January 28, 2018, 11:38:28 AM
Well... to be fair - there's more than one crypto forum out and about - ok, so sig bounty peeps might wish to try to maintain their rank progression to keep up their incomes, but if you are at the mercy of the few who have sMerit to deem you worthy, then you're already playing a centralized game that is stacked against you.

I agree with the train of thought that the spam posting and obvious ignorance of forum posting rules is annoying and needed dealt with. But this won't fix that. Those posts will remain, along with a lot of new spam posts asking why no rank-up?? How do I rank and get merit?

But meh, I always tried to follow the rules, and now the goal posts have changed. That's life. Its not really worth losing your head over. In fact, if this is the worse thing to have happened to you lately... count urself lucky lol.
39  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Everyone here talking about WAVES.Is that really good for long term? on: January 14, 2018, 12:46:28 PM
Google Waves Platform and WavesDex. Its just another blockchain to learn about so make sure you research it before you dive in and buy tokens other than Waves or BTC on it as its got a lot of sh*tcoins in it as well (just like EtherDelta does with the ETH ERC20 tokens). And some are called things like Bitcoin2, Bitcoina, or XRP, DASH etc, but they are just fake coins someone set up.

For diversification its always good to have a few different coins in your portfolio. Its got some good stuff coming out so keep on eye on it for sure! One of the latest releases was POS4all. Nice bonus for hodlers of certain waves tokens.
40  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why doge is still alive and growing? on: January 14, 2018, 12:17:32 PM
Doge isn't trash - if it was you wouldn't be bothering to ask for it Grin
Its still used heavily and widely because its cheap and fast. Why pay larger BTC/ETH fees when u don't have too? Plus its got a huge community of users and its not bogged down by politics and devs never getting back to u because there are none.
Its like the independant nation we all wish we lived in - giving the governed nations a big "F" u and driving off into perpetual sunsets. Anyway - whatever the drama is with DOGE - its just a fun coin and ya kno... we need more fun in this often shi*ty world Smiley
