Dare I say that  it might be stabilizing near 100? Seems recently it has made a home there  with some 'relatively' (for bitcoin at least) stable motion.
I'm agreeing with this. I don't see ASICs mucking up the price much

I highly recommend Jupiter Broadcasting's Plan B (link).
It's not a "you're new to bitcoin! here's how to do it!" show, but you learn a bunch from hearing about it.

All the calculators I look at show -- at current difficulty! -- a pitiful return on a BFL 5Gh/s miner.
This blows my mind. By the time I would get one, I doubt it would ever profit.

I'm a dev, I work primarily in Java.
Right now I'm looking to make better mobile apps -- higher quality widgets and things like that.
Right now the choices - at least on google play - are slim and give limited user-friendliness and configuration... even though those two tend to be in opposition :p

Alt coins can become useful, I think, if people start accepting them for services or goods. That's all that is missing.
