21  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: another source on: July 02, 2018, 01:28:07 AM
do you guys know any kinds of crypto related sites that promoting a good altcoins aside from bitcointalk?
While I am browsing I saw this site https://www.altcoinstalks.com/
I found out that this has similarity with bitcointalk, this site offers bounty as well and every altcoins that has a good rating has its own subsection.

Do you have any to suggest for another source of altcoins information.

There are lots of websites and news feeds available online for altcoin news and information.

Personally i get my daily dose of latest news from two simple websites, first is coindesk (overall market news for the entire crypto-scene) and second is the CryptoCurrency subreddit r/CryptoCurrency (great for gossip and rumors about altcoins that could be used for day trading).
22  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 8th Alt coin thread. Or what to do now that asics are all over the place. on: July 02, 2018, 01:25:50 AM

Sorry to burst your good news bubble but while this mining center in China was flooded and the pictures show a massive amount of ASICs and GPUs, the charts still show that bitcoin difficulty has not at all moved any significantly.

Bitcoin difficulty is still as high as ever. This was probably a much smaller farm then it is portrayed to be.
23  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is market going back up to 8k? on: July 01, 2018, 11:43:53 PM
hello, just curious about your thoughts on the current market sentiment, do you think we're going back up to 8k levels?

The recent bullish trend indicates yes, we should soon see an increase in value for bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies.

The thing about crypto is that the market moves in cycles, one day values will be down in the dumps, the next day will be up in the pumps. What you need to do to succeed is to capitalize on this and trade at the right times.
24  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What would you do if the altcoin price dumped? on: July 01, 2018, 01:22:52 PM
Lately, we know the market price of altcoin weakened. Whether or not the purchasing power decreases. Please explain to me what makes you interested in altcoins? And give me an explanation of what you will do to overcome things when altcoin the price dumps?

Altcoins are potentially great investments because they have more chance to grow. Small value coins can easily double in price which compared to bitcoin doubling price, is very difficult. When altcoins dump, don't worry. As long as you did research and believe in the value of your coin then it should very soon go up again. Pumps and dumps are part of altcoin market cycles, learn to profit from it, not get beaten by it.
25  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What's going on now.... anyone? on: June 28, 2018, 12:45:34 AM
Why all coins drop so rapidly? Anyone can tell me ?
THX

First thing to do is to stay calm, coins aren't dropping "rapidly." The entire market is simply in a bearish correction state which is part of every market whether crypto or traditional stock. All you need to do to profit is to either hold and be patient, or better yet, buy the dip and invest in coins now while everything is sold at a discount.
26  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: why some ico failed on: June 28, 2018, 12:39:45 AM
have being studying some ico this year they are failing , what are the causes of there failure

ICOs fail because they are well designed scams. Most of the ICOs out there don't really have a real life project and are just designed to take your money. Thats why you can even see professional ICO developers out there. They make ICO after ICO and keep taking people's money.

I would only invest in big projects like Bitcoin or Ethereum.
27  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ICO or buy later on exchange ? on: June 28, 2018, 12:28:24 AM
How often does the price get lower than the ICO price when a new coin is listed on its first exchange house ?

How come there are coins that are worth like 0.0004 $, usually during an ICO one coin is sold in the range of 1$ or not ?

Do some "coins" skip the ICO stage ?

This is really a basic question, and can easily be answered by research alone. If you believe in the value of a coin or project then of course by all means pour your investment into it. Just make damn sure that you did the necessary research and you can live knowing that it is your choice to either profit or lose all your money.

Buying from an ICO or exchange could be profitable or not, it depends on the coin.
28  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Sapphire VEGA 56 NITRO+ / HR /OVERDRIVENT setup / WATMAN SETUP on: June 27, 2018, 12:14:12 AM
Any have VEGA 56 NITRO+ with Hynix memory?

i try stock and 64 bios and this setup

GPU 1408/940mv
MEM 990/940mv
Work 6-8 hour and BLOCK
6vega give 11200HR and use 1020W form Wall

i try
GPU 1460/ 960mv
MEM 950 / 960mv
work 10 hour and block
6vega give 11700HR and use 1080W form Wall

any try move switsh- silent-standard-OC ?

i use this sotf powertable
-snip-

11.2 kh/s is not bad for Sapphire Vega 56 GPUs with Hynix memory. That is already 1860+ (11200/6) for each Vega 56. Your power consumption at 1 kw is also not bad. I would not go and try overclocking more than that because as you see, it is not only less efficient (unless you have really cheap electricity) but could also be unstable.

If your rig runs smooth without crashing then keep it that way. Good job!
29  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitmain will control 51% of Bitcoin soon? on: June 27, 2018, 12:10:06 AM
Hi, I just found this interesting article: https://www.google.cz/amp/s/ethereumworldnews.com/bitmain-dominates-bitcoin-mining-hashrate-almost-at-51-percent/amp/
Do you think that they could control 51% of Bitcoin network(currently they control 42%)? And do you think that they will try to cheat (double spend Bitcoins)? It isnt scary that Bitcoin Is going to be more centralized?

This is why a lot of people are opposed to buying Bitmain's ASICs. While Bitmain's control of 51% hashrate is actually far from happening, it would still be in the best interest to invest in mining hardware that is purchased from other suppliers.

Canaan creative could be an alternative source of bitcoin miners.
30  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Airdrops profitable? on: June 27, 2018, 12:08:22 AM
Hi guys, I'm doing airdrops now for 2 weeks but are airdrops that profitable they look like? The main question for me is: Could you make money (100+$ a month) with airdrops?

They could be profitable, if you absolutely know what you are doing. Could you earn $100+ a month? Probably not. When it comes to airdrops, you can't really count on anything regular. If you don't know by now, most don't pay and the some that actually do, pay very little or only after a few months down the road.

I would do it if you have a lot of free time, otherwise, get a real job that pays.
31  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: KYC + all your official papers being stolen and traded on: June 26, 2018, 12:58:24 AM
Be very careful sending in your passports and govt id's for KYC.  Your 1 scam project away from having your identity stolen for god knows what on an international level.

Also look very closely at the "projects" asking for this.  One of the major points of crypto is to be anonymous.  Do not give this up.  If you keep sending in your "papers" to strangers you will get burnt eventually.

Think about what the authorities will say to you when your identity has been stolen.  They are going to ask why in the world you would give your personal info like this to a stranger on the internet.  It makes no sense on any basic level to give your info out like this.

JPMOGAN does not even ask us for this level of identification when opening an account.

Think about it please.

If we all deny the KYC projects this invasive procedure will go away.

To anyone who has been giving your passport online you had better get a service to help protect you from identity theft as you have handed your most personal of information to complete strangers you do not know.  They can use your passport for any reason including terrorist acts.

Imagine the terrorist cells starting a project and getting all the FOMO warriors passports because they got in such a rush and turned off their brain.  Now you have real problems.

Good luck guys.

I believe you are referring to JPMORGAN not JPMOGAN.

Anyway, you are wrong and actually banks ask you for identification when you open an account with them. Further, they may be less strict because they can easily identify you are who you say you are by looking straight at your face (while you are physically at the bank) which is something they cannot do when you are doing things online. Use common sense before posting non-sense. There are lots of legitimate KYC institutions out there.
32  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: asic miner D3 in a soundproof box on: June 26, 2018, 12:56:04 AM
do i need ducting on both sides of the box or just one ?

Soundproof boxes that are heat compatible are not new. There are lots of online guides and tutorials out there that teach you how to make or buy these types of boxes. All you have to do is search them. If you're not familiar with DYI or don't have any tools at home though, I would probably just ask a local carpentry shop or hardware to make it for you.
33  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Are the Green Days back ? on: June 26, 2018, 12:53:27 AM
For the past 24 hours, i’ve Being thinking of what is going on precisely, if i’m dreaming or it’s absolutely real but presently I confirmed i’m Seeing what i’m Seeing for real 😳. The market cap is really attractive compare to few weeks back while everything looks like there were disaster in the crypto community. My question now is, are we out of the messy period to the Green Days in the crypto market ? Your contribution is absolutely required. Thanks

Yes the green days seem to be back!

It's so refreshing and uplifting to open your portfolio and see everything back to green! It seems like we are on our way to recovery and a strong bull run ahead of us. What we can do to help support and further this bull run is to focus our posting on POSITIVE threads instead of negative threads. When people see all positive news and discussions, this could even further cause value to rise.
34  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it worth using the Stop Loss when the market is in the bottom? on: June 25, 2018, 03:03:06 AM
I have used the stop loss to protect my investment, but with this market bleed, I have doubts if it is worth using Stop Loss. What do you think?

Terribly bad idea.

By doing this, you are already at a loss, and are doing nothing but locking-in your losses. If you truly believe in the value of your investment (and you should in the first place before investing) the smart move right now would probably to just hold and wait for the market cycle to uptrend.
35  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: ETH network hashrate going to the moon!!!! on: June 25, 2018, 03:01:23 AM
Ouchies. Just checked the ETH diffuclty charts and they are indeed off the roof. This is probably because the E3 ETH ASICs are now coming online. This is probably Bitmain disguising their ASICs as "GPU miners who have moved from mining ZEC to ETH." Bitmain was waiting for the right time to turn them on so that the ETH dev team won't notice it's their fault and consequently ban their Bitmain E3 ASICs.
36  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Salary in BTC from the Israeli company Spot.IM on: June 24, 2018, 03:01:36 AM
Israeli Internet company Spot.IM will pay salaries in bitcoins

-snip-

While i fully support adoption of bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies in real life, I feel this is a very risky move for both employees and managers of the company. As an employee would you knowingly accept payment when you know that the fiat value of your salary could drop more than 50% tomorrow? As a manager would you hold funds to payout employees when you know it could be worth less than what you originally bought it for and may have to buy more tomorrow? So many risks..
37  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Red Period but be Patient on: June 24, 2018, 02:59:05 AM
at last i have to say , do not sell your portfolio for loss.  if market grows we have to expect downs , thats normal.  be patient

I see your point. However, better advise to the general public would probably be: if you strongly believe that your portfolio is still about to go down, you can hedge value by selling it now, then simply buying back later when it's cheaper. That way, you get more coins.

As usual, caveat with trading.
38  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [NPXS] Pundi X Speculation on: June 22, 2018, 01:06:28 AM
It's been crazy the past few days for PUNDIX. That was a steep rise and fall because of the Binance listing.

However, looking forward, i see PUNDIX has immense potential to grow. The market is ripe for a crypto payment system that is user-friendly. Looking at the team's activity and with all the new partnerships and engagements with real-world companies, the value of PUNDIX should slowly grow. Buy now while you can or risk missing out.
39  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: mining with NVIDIA GTX750 TI ? on: June 22, 2018, 12:37:43 AM
Unless you are not paying for electricity, mining with a 750ti is most definitely not worth it. The problem is that you will be spending more on electric consumption fees compared to the amount of coins you will actually generate given the GPU's low hash rates.

A better option right now would be to sell the GPU and invest directly by buying the coin you want.
40  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Uneducated people join Cryptocurrency? on: June 22, 2018, 12:35:17 AM
Can possible uneducated people join the Cryptocurrency?
Have one condition he have enough balance to trading. So what do you think guys?

As with any endeavor in life, yes of course. But be careful to in making the distinction, there are uneducated people who work hard and succeed which are different from IGNORANT people who are uneducated and do nothing about it.

This is part of life and for crypto, these are those people who blindly buy into ICOs hoping for massive gains.
