Why should I choose this coin?

Merchants gain more marketing options and can target customers based on age, demographics, and spending habits. Also, GATCOIN offers the airdrop feature to release coins to potential customers within a certain area and based on demographic/spending criteria. Moreover, we are designing this to be an easy-to-use, turnkey solution for retailers so that companies who aren’t tech savvy can get setup on the platform fast. Of course, this all depends on the size of the network of retailers using GATCOIN. how much raised at token sale?
Token sale has not started yet. It will go live on the 28th of October. To stay up to date with on new regarding the sale, please register at our site www.gatcoin.io. But you said about 18 October before? Its a mistake? The public sale will begin on October 18th and the USD:ETH exchange rate will be fixed 24 hours prior to sale. This first round will issue 33% of all GAT Coins which means 66,666,666 GAT Coins. They will be priced at US$0.20 each.
Second round will issue 66,666,667 GAT Coins priced at US$0.30 each.
Final round will issue 66,666,667 GAT Coins at priced at US$0.40 each. Is there a subscribe on your site about crowdsale inf. ? @Ben_GAT I'd really appreciate if you review my previous post to know if I understood GATCOIN or not  . And I've a question, GATCOIN ecosystem will start right away on the SSL tech blockchain or isn't ready yet? Because this is another point in your favour if you're gonna be the first one to offer this type of scalability, WavesNG is on the way but Raiden Network have to have an ICO (lol) and lighting network is not here yet Hi kraterion, sorry to have missed that. The public launch of the GATCOIN beta platform will be in June 2018 with the official launch of the Wallet and Marketplace in October 2018. Is the amount of tokens of one of these merchant tokens limited? For examples if they realize that the circulating supply is not high enough, can the shop decides that it wants to get more tokens minted?
I am thinking if there is a way for merchants to abuse this system. If they would issue new coins for them self and sell it, the buyer would eventually use it in their shop so other than this being a marketing move, i dont see if they can abuse it. The tokens that Gatcoin would issue for their customers would be used for promotional purposes. issuing too many would make no sense, as they would be issued on the customer's expense. But they may sell them to others on the market in return for different company coupons. if someone can manipulate a company's reward system then it may be a leak point. Would want to know how Gatcoin will tackle those. Merchants can both create and destroy their Merchant Tokens on the GATCOIN system. If they were to flood the market with their own Merchant Tokens, then it would cause an excess of supply and—as in any economic environment with excess supply—the value of that particular merchant’s Tokens would go down in respect to both GAT Coin and other Merchant Tokens. |

how many tier price will be for ICO? is that information already available?

Final round will issue 66,666,667 GAT Coins at priced at US$0.40 each. will be huge supply amount, how much percentage for token sale? 60% or more? or less? Initial token sale accounts for 20% of the total supply, of the remainder 20% per year will be released at regular intervals from Jul 2018 to Jun 2021. The remaining 20% is split between the GAT Foundation and Founders. |

Do you have any plans where to extend your businesses first? I guess you have a lot of area in Asia covered and some in Turkey and USA from SK Planet involvement. When are you planing to come to Europe? I guess you are focusing on big merchants or you will try with everyone with potential?
With the partnership with SK Planet, we are focusing the launch in the Japanese market but have the capacity to grow globally. We are in discussions with other major retailers so that we can increase the reach of the GATCOIN network. We are confident through our hard efforts and organic growth that other merchants will also soon join the GAT System. Japanese market will be great to focus on! Saw the introductory video, understood the basic idea, just one doubt. Why will any big company partner with GAT.? You see the rewards program is to keep your customers shop or buy things more and more within your brand, by using GAT they loose that.  A point well taken if merchant tokens could be converted directly into products from other merchants but they can not. For example Merchant A issues vouchers to Customer X, Customer X sells these tokens to Customer Y and uses the proceeds to by vouchers for Merchant B and buys something from Merchant B's store and Customer Y uses the original vouchers in Merchant A's store. Who looses out in this situation? No one, The voucher Merchant A originally issued are still being spent in their store, Customers X and Y are getting exactly the products they wanted and merchants A and B are making sales that they might not have in a traditional rewards system! Merchant tokens can only be sold to other parties that want them, so while the consumer may be converting them in to rewards from other companies they can only do so if someone else wants the tokens in the first place. So it will be like a market for all the vouchers and reward points. where anyone can sell their's and buy different ones.? That will be a cool thing to have. Yes if I understand correctly you will be able to trade one voucher to another one. I think I read that in the Whitepaper. Correct, however, it won't be an exact one-for-one exchange. It's better to think of it as a marketplace where people have Merchant Tokens they wish to exchange but must be bought and sold in GAT Coins. Thus, depending on the demand and merchant-dictated redeemable value of their Tokens, you could, for example exchange 5 tokens from merchant A for just 1 token from merchant B. And this is intuitive--for example, if merchant A were a coffee shop and merchant B were an airline. |

am going to keep bumping this post till i recieve a clear and concise answer that makes sense rather than constant shills to bury the post but Again, most companies might not be blockchain savvy yet but a quick Google search on creating ERC token will show the steps involved and it's not that complicated. It takes less than 30 mins to create one. I have created several tokens and am not that technically inclined, so it would makes sense that companies actually interested in blockchain will easily learn the process.
So, my question is how does GATCOIN plan to stay viable 6mths - 1yr down the line as most individuals find out that solidarity is not rocket science and most of this scripts can be easily created or emulated. Why will companies subcontract GATCOIN ( a company using ERC 20) to create a token for them when it takes less than 30 mins to create your own ERC 20 token.
Companies like embermine offer identical service and actually have three airdrops currently occuring and yet they having a tough time gaining foothold in the market cos the service is nothing unique. So how does GATCOIN intend to make this a viable coin for long term holders?
While, technically, it is possible for companies to establish a blockchain token independently on their own, that alone is not doing them much use. The value of GATCOIN comes from its network and the GAT Exchange. For customers, collecting blockchain rewards points from various retailers/shops/merchants doesn’t solve the issue that they have points that they can’t/don’t want to use. Through the growing network of retailers (big and small) on the GATCOIN network, these customers will have greater choice of how and where to use their rewards points (of course done via exchange through the GAT Exchange). Moreover, with all these customers of various merchants using the same wallet, it is easier for merchants to reach new customers (for example through demographic/spending targeting). As we have already secured the partnership with SK Planet Japan, we are launching out of the gate with a strong network of merchants who will issue Tokens, thus offering immediate choice to consumers and GAT Wallet holders. As new merchants come on board, we streamline the process for them so that blockchain tokens are no longer an onerous technical issue for them but rather just another marketing application—we remove the hassle of having to Google the process and learn the tech. To put it simply, we are offering a one-stop-shop for all rewards points. The more merchants who join, the more powerful the platform. We are working hard to recruit even more partners and are confident that more merchants will join the platform organically as the success of GATCOIN grows. |

The only thing about I'm not sure about this project is the name itself.
What is gatcoin stands for? Is it some value for Asian people, or is it just a random decision?

Very smart way to lure people to a particular store. Somehow it kinda reminds me of Pokemon Go, having to chase something on your phone I thought the same  I like this targeted airdrop technology but the idea behind it isn't new. There is already an mobile app (Shopkick) who also rewards you with bonus points for entering a store. But of course these bonus points are not transfer- and tradeable on a blockchain. Great question. GATCOIN’s benefit to customers is that all Merchant Tokens are tradeable on the GAT Exchange. So, as you say, they might earn with Shopkick but the points will not mean much if the customer isn’t interested in the merchant—whereas with GATCOIN Merchant Tokens, the customer can trade. Moreover, GATCOIN offers merchants the opportunity to reach new customers. This would work in the case when a customer already has the GATCOIN app for rewards with company A and now passes by an airdrop location for company B. Now that customer collects Merchant Tokens for company B. He or she might choose to shop with company B or just trade those tokens for tokens with company A. Lastly, airdrop can be very targeted for merchants: rather than making these airdrop Merchant Tokens available to all customers, they can be selectively released to customers in a specific demographic match or those with particular spending habits. This data will be collected from the GATCOIN app which customers use to hold and collect Merchant Tokens.
