22  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2022/23 on: October 22, 2022, 10:53:26 AM
The mainstay players from Barcelona are not able to play consistently because it requires very high energy to guard at the back which is very vulnerable to opponent attacks, Many defenders are injured because of the previous game, therefore Xavi must carefully consider the formation for each game so that get good results.
Barcelona is experiencing problems in defense due to injuries to several of its main players. But in the last game against Villarreal, I think their defense has started well even though there are actually some weaknesses. Bercelona often concede on the counter-attack by the opposing team because the current defenders don't have good pace, especially at centre-back. This is a problem that actually makes their defense weak, but the most impressive thing in the last match is Barcelona managed to keep a record of not conceding at home in 5 matches so far and Barcelona have scored 11 goals at home.

In the next 2 days Barcelona will host Athletic Club Bilbao at Camp Nou, this is their 6th home match in Laliga and I think Barcelona's chances of winning should not be affected. Bilbao have not been in their best form in the last 3 matches, but they are a strong team in defense which will likely make it difficult for Barcelona to score goals.
Barcelona's defense was good throughout the early season of La Liga. But once their match with Real Marid and lost 3-1 to it, I think the confidence from the Barcelona player's viewpoint about their defense suffered as well. Maybe there was some doubt about it and we'll see how Xavi tries to stock up the player's confidence. I'm sure Barcelona will have an easy match against other teams in La Liga. Tho in their next game where they have to meet Bayern, that's where Barcelona's defense will be truly tested again and Xavi has to come up with something new here.
23  Economy / Economics / Re: Agriculture HODL on: October 22, 2022, 10:41:17 AM
So can we all agree that Agriculture isn't as that lucrative business as someone thinks it was for a normal person to invest in? Much less talk about HODL it for the long term to drive up the price without things like storage cost and preservation since food is perishable.

Heck, since talking about farmer backgrounds, I might be honest as well. My grandma has a few hectares of land in the countryside and she leases it to some guy cause her profit margin doesn't worth the time. It was the same everywhere, Agriculture become more centralized and fall into the hand of a few with huge funds for fertilizer, high-grade farming machines to increase their ROI instead of human labor. All to make it worth their time from the low-profit margin farming. Remember Bill Gates also hoarding US farming land?
24  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: October 22, 2022, 10:26:14 AM
Cheslea and Man U are not really in the best shape now, they are close to each other in the standings and have about the same number of points, and even the results of the games played are almost the same too, although Man U has lost one game more... But I think Chelsea will win today... The odds of them winning are very attractive to me... Wink
Manchester United definitely has a better shape than Chelsea right now. If you think Chelsea's going to win against Manchester United in today's match, you need to rewatch the Chelsea vs Brentford in which Chelsea got drawn. So far in this season, Chelsea hasn't met strong teams at all and lose their shits against some weaker teams. Manchester United won against Tottenham in the most recent match, mind you. Manchester United will have better odds of winning against Chelsea.
25  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Leaving your coins on exchanges on: October 22, 2022, 10:11:30 AM
The only way to lower the risk for traders when holding their fund or trade account on CEX is to doubt down on anything with security. 2FA for the trading account and the email linked to that account. A complete isolation OS machine to host those 2 two with a clean browser. Use that PC machine only for trade and not everything else. A basic smartphone for that two account 2FA. You're at least a controllable environment against attempts to hijack or fishing your trade account.

But of course, if the CEX side got hacked then it was meaningless no matter how much you've done to increase the security of your account. Traders have to take that risk or split their funds into smaller amounts on 2 or 3 CEX, lowering their effectiveness on trading.

It would be idiotic if the players can hear the casters.
It's actually true though as one of the players a few days ago confirmed that they can hear what the casters are saying but i'm not sure if PGL already has a solution though.

Oh, I did not know that. PGL is idiotic then Cheesy I would never think that after hosting 10 TIs they would still commit this type of blunder. They removed the enclosed booth and now they have defective noise-canceling headsets too. Are they skimping too much that they are risking the integrity of the tournament? I wonder how they would solve this problem because it is advantageous to English-speaking teams.
I don't like the setup of PGL and I thought that no one has noticed that with the early stage of the TI that the players are on open area with the audience in front of them. They don't have sound proof unlike the past TIs. PGL is a thumbs down organizer and it's inappropriate to have that setup because the players can hear the casters.

The setup should be like the sound proof room where the players can't hear the casters and cheers outside. This is the result when Valve is on a tight budget and took a budget meal from the organizers. Many fans aren't satisfied or is it because it's on Singapore? They don't take seriously if the venue is from the SEA?
Caused quite a storm of dramas on reddit. As I said, everyone agreed it was very unfair for teams that didn't utilize it and made the whole match become lame. You guys had seen the final results of some matches recently, a lot of upset games there or swift victories for underdog teams. With this no soundproof booth on top of it, hola, teams that lose become bitter because they would argue that other teams have unfair advantages against them in critical moments like smokes and such. Yeah, 'unfair advantages' that usually bet sites cited to invalidate your bet slip. Time to stop betting on this TI event cause there are too many variables against our bet.

I don't think Singapore, a place that held many events around the world is looked down upon by PGL. It was fully PGL's incomplete about headsets for the noise canceling or soundproof booth for players. Even if a player with good conscious and want to play it fair, he can't just turn off his hearing from the sound leak from casters and audiences.
27  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can you choose cryptocurrency as full time job? on: October 22, 2022, 09:33:00 AM

Make cryptocurrency job as a part time job or extra and have some physical day job which it would really be just right because we know that crypto based jobs doesn't really give out guarantees plus it's not that fixed but somehow it is really giving that bigger amount which is more than you can earn from your typical job.

All matters with good time management and as long you could able to make yourself sustain and make profits then that's what surely counts.

I used to run several faucets. I earned more Bitcoin doing that than anyone else I know.

I think working part time in crypto is doable. Some people who were early adopters have been able to leverage that experience and enter the corporate side of crypto, or signpost crypto for newer adopters. There is still a lot of opportunity in emerging technologies within crypto, Bitcoin may be a little less easy to get into now, but I still try my best to evangelize Bitcoin whenever possible.

I used to earn a lot from doing crypto bounties too. Far better than some real jobs out there. But his only works as everyone has said if you were an early adopter. Right now, when the crypto market is in bear time, everyone's earnings take a sharp drop. I think we forget about how much crypto has grown to the point of being oversaturated. Mean we if you want it worth our time and decent earnings as a full-time job, we'll have to spend a lot of effort on it. No more easy money as it was before.

Another technical analysis chart. Many times, they were never true for cryptocurrencies. Maybe once you have traded long enough in cryptocurrencies, you'll realize it's very unpredictable and unless the same thing happens twice (never) your chart is meaningless. Right now, unless good data and benchmarks for the economics and stock come out, there will be no bull here or anything near it. People can't pump your bag when they even tighten their wallets even on daily necessities thanks to inflation and the energy crisis.
29  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2022/23 on: October 21, 2022, 10:43:30 AM
Exactly right mate. Xavi is the figure who will run Barcelona's long-term project. Those who suspect that Xavi will be fired may not be because of the results obtained in La Liga but of the results obtained by Barcelona in the Champions League.
I'm sure it wasn't on the fans' minds that Xavi would be sacked from Barcelona. Xavi revived Barca's game after performing poorly last season. came and brought a change, and ended the season well. and the decline in performance in the Champions League should not be the reason for Xavi's dismissal.
if that is done, the president of Barcelona will have to look at the club's problems and shortcomings. Xavi has tried hard last season with the existing squad to perform optimally. Not to mention the issue of unfinished player salaries. Of course, Xavi is working hard to keep the game on a good track.

I'm not surprised if there are rumors that Xavi's career will end at Barcelona, it's part of the risk of all coaches if they experience a series of bad results.

now, it's time to bounce back for Barcelona, picking up an important win after a run of bad results last week.
a landslide victory over Villareal, should be a positive signal for Barcelona after being hit by a very disappointing result last week.  Xavi continued to use the same formation as 4-3-3, but what caught my attention in this match was Raphinha, Dembele, Busquets, sitting on the bench.

this time I like to see Xavi put De Jong as the main starter. although De Jong played as Pivot, replacing Sergio Busquets, the decision paid off, De Jong was impressive and Xavi should have given him plenty of opportunities to play.

with this result, Barcelona reduce the distance with the leaders of the La Liga standings.

Soccer tabloids love to speculate about this coach who got fired after a few bad matches, this coach going to sign up with a high-profile club, day is number for the old coach. Some dumb reader might find those tabloids and rumors interesting. But most of us, fans of Barcelona understand how Xavi had come and changed the team, those were rubbish. So far, Barcelona has had to give up the Champions League and this is expected. In La Liga, Barcelona is still in good standing, only behind Real Madrid. With one or two hiccups from Real Madrid, they might take the top of La Liga.

Another crack in the relationship between Ronaldo and Manchester United head coach Ten Hag. In principle, I perfectly understand the behavior of Ronaldo, who defiantly left the bench at the end of the match when he realized that the head coach of the team had no intentions of releasing him on the field. I repeat once again for critics of such a move on the part of the player that Ronaldo expected until the very end that the head coach would still release him on the field. As a great player, he has the right to such behavior, because he does not have much career time left to spend it on the bench. On the one hand, I understand perfectly well that the most important thing for the head coach is the interests of the team, but still this situation shows obvious problems in communication between the player and the head coach.
If Ronaldo underperforms, Erik should have back him to regain his performance skills. When Ronaldo scored against Everton every Manchester United fan and player was delighted but the idea of disrespecting the club, the fans and his fellow teammates is another thing he shouldn't have done as a player of his class. The board was so stubborn and refused to allow him to leave thereby causing all this commotion. It was clear from the end of last season that he no longer wants to stay but the board for financial gain opted to keep him.

From what I have seen so far, Manchester United's problem is half solved. The remaining problem now is to have a sharp and good striker who can score. If Manchester United can get one by January it will be a fantastic move and their fight for the top 4 will be interesting
Agree, Ronaldo has expressed many times he wants to part away with Manchester United under a good term. Somehow, that is not what ten Hag wants. Ten Hag keeps on holding Ronaldo in the club while leaving him to strand even amount his fellow players. Everyone knew Ronaldo was going to leave soon and it becomes troublesome for anything behind the match like the training for the lineup. Things like Ronaldo won't appear even in the club's match become a norm and everyone keep pointing their finger at Ronaldo. The monetary value of Manchester United thanks to Ronaldo's name becomes more important and no doubt this is what makes Ronaldo mad.
31  Economy / Economics / Re: Tesla can be worth more than Apple and Saudi Aramco combined - Elon Musk states on: October 21, 2022, 10:15:26 AM
I would take anything from Elon Musk with a very cynical view if I was you. He has no qualms and his integrity is questionable. He just says things that people like to hear and such, appear to the mass, you know.
But once it comes to profit and money, those nice and fancy things about his bravado are thrown out of the window right away.

For example, you know what Elon Musk has said about wanting to keep Twitter as a 'freedom of speed' platform. Then he's shilling for Russia regard about their invasion, about what kind of peace deal Ukraine should take, giving away their land to buy a 'temporary peace'. Cause he doesn't care about what happen after that, just his money at the front, at it was right now from Starlink giving away for Ukraine's troop to use which cost him money.
Or when he's shilling for the CCP regard about Taiwan's status. That Taiwan should accept the 'one country, two systems' ploy from the CCP when the fucking thing has been played out and shown people the true color of the CCP. It was in Hongkong, their freedom was taken away, massive protests against CCP, and eventually, capitulation under CCP's 'one country, two systems'. All for what? For his company, Telsa to receive tax exemptions on their cars in China.

If you still believe in what Elon Musk was saying, you're a fool.

Quote
TAIPEI (Taiwan News) — Two Tesla models were handed tax exemptions by Beijing on Monday (Oct. 10), after a report cited the company's CEO Elon Musk as recommending Taiwan should be run along the lines of Hong Kong's "one country two systems" model — and one day after China expressed approval of his plan.

On Friday (Oct. 7), the Financial Times published an interview with Musk when he recommended Taiwan become absorbed into China as a special administrative zone that is "reasonably palatable." The tech tycoon then speculated that while it "won't make everyone happy," the terms of Beijing's rule over Taiwan could be "more lenient than Hong Kong."

Damn, I watched some TI games lately and turn off by how the year 2022 and the esport event organizer still hasn't a full soundproof booth for players from the sound coming from audiences and casters. Gosh, some was so obvious when the team smoked and the other team pulled back right away cause they knew it from the sound leak from audiences and casters. This is so unfair and makes the whole event seem very low, in my opinion.
33  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar - UEFA Qualifiers on: October 21, 2022, 09:33:22 AM
~snip~
Qatar is only the host of the 2022 world cup and they benefit from playing at home and having to play the Netherlands, Senegal and Ecuador will certainly be difficult to get through. In each of these countries there are star players like Sadio Mane, Memphis Depay, and many more. So I think if Qatar can win it's only because of luck.

If Qatar doesn't go to the next stage it would be the first time in history that such event happens.

I think it's quite possible though... we'll have to wait and see.
They'll be going to the next stage or at least pass the group stage in the World Cup, don't worry. Tho I shit talk about them a lot, they got a really good national team for this time, temporary for World Cup or not. Other teams like Netherlands, Senegal and Ecuador don't seem very challenging. Especially Senegal and Ecuador's players can be easily 'bought' if you know what I mean. Hey, if they pay for FIFA to get the World Cup right, might as well pay to get a good result both legitimate and underhand.

Place your bet on what people would do once the trust for govt is low, and fiat is inflated as hell in recession. Where they'll put their money into?
We will see proper use of bitcoin when we will have a repeat of 2008.
Demand for Gold and Bitcoin is going to sky rocket.
Hopefully, it'll be like you said. Right now, gold is still going unimpressive after last year's rally to $2,000. Maybe once people wake up and start to realize it, we might see the gold price rally to a new high. The same for Bitcoin too.

Gold price 20 years chart.

Talk about current news. More forecasts of the US heading to recession no matter what others try to spin with their rhetoric about a real recession or technical recession.

While China also delays its Q3 report on its economy.

That's the biggest economy and the second behind it, accounting for a share of nearly half the global economy. Buckle up, everyone. We're going for a wild ride! Back then, the 2008 Mortage crisis and the fall of Wallstreet, crypto wasn't as relevant and 'popular' as it is today. Place your bet on what people would do once the trust for govt is low, and fiat is inflated as hell in recession. Where they'll put their money into?

36  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: October 18, 2022, 10:51:08 AM
Although Liverpool can beat Manchester City but I don't think Liverpool this season is better than Manchester City, because Liverpool's performance is sometimes unstable which is of course difficult to predict. Even Liverpool often experience poor results when playing in European tournaments and also in the English Premier League against mediocre teams, and sometimes Liverpool get deadlocked to score goals. Vice versa, when Liverpool play against a top team, Liverpool can be perfect and that happened in yesterday's match against Manchester City. A result like this can happen at any time without anyone predicting it, even beforehand Manchester City could be held to a draw by Newcastle and also Aston Villa and that means, Manchester City are not too perfect to get consecutive wins and even though they have a terrible attacking line but it's not a guarantee too.
I have the same thought regarding Liverpool's inconsistency. Liverpool are indeed a strong and seeded team even before the season started. but the real problem of liverpool is that they can't be consistent in maintaining their best form. so indeed in every Liverpool match it is sometimes difficult to predict. and for now Manchester city is more consistent in maintaining their performance. But in these few games Liverpool have shown improvement in maintaining their performance. and it started with defeating the Rangers. and continued by defeating Man city. but I am a little doubtful whether Liverpool will continue to show consistency in maintaining their best performance in the next matches. but I hope Liverpool can continue to be consistent from now on. because it will add to the excitement in the premier league. and if you look at the standings, now many changes have started. and make every match in the premier league always full of surprises.
I say Liverpool's inconsistency was because Klopp set up a lineup very hard to achieve and left little error margin for the players. And talk about Liverpool's players, most ain't good either. They got lucky against Manchester City but really, I don't think they can go far with Klopp leading Liverpool like that. Some might think maybe this lineup and strats have a potential cause they won against Manchester City but like I said, just simply luck, a fluke. Better replace Klopp with a new coach cause they'll go nowhere.
37  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Why DCA Strategy on: October 18, 2022, 10:39:13 AM
A lot of good reason has been said in this thread. As for me, DCA seems to work if you have limited earnings per week or month. Like people were earning paycheck to paycheck, rent, food,... take all of their earning money. So they can only afford DCA into something with a little amount of money at a time but in many instances over a long period of time. Sort of like saving where no matter how little it was per day, you still keep doing that.
I was in a signature campaign, earning $25 in BTC per week. I thought it was like I was DCA into BTC no matter how much little it was compared to the other bag. Sure, I can sell it and wait for maybe once BTC goes down further and buy back but the crypto market is very unpredictable. Who knows, maybe it'll go up right after I sold. So yeah, people who give up on speculation and switch to DCA for more ease of mind.
38  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar - UEFA Qualifiers on: October 18, 2022, 10:12:26 AM
~snip~
I'm not completely sure, but as far as I know, at least in recent history, it has never happened that the host of the World Cup did not pass the group and not advance to the knockout stage of the competition.
However, due to the quality of their team, Qatar does not deserve to play in this World Cup and I believe that they have a minimal chance to pass the group and reach the knockout stage of the competition.
If they aren't the hosts, we certainly wouldn't be watching them at this world championship, just as we haven't seen them at previous world championships either.

Yeah, it's a huge advantage to host the world cup. But the thing is that the previous world cups have been usually held in countries in which they have a strong team to begin with, such as Brazil, Spain, Germany, England, Uruguay, and so on.

This is probably the first time that it's going to be held in a relatively weaker country. Maybe Korea-Japan 2002 could be comparable up to a point, and even then they managed to go past the first stage, which has been their all time best performance for both Korea and Japan.

We'll have to see if the boost for playing local is enough for Qatar.

I wouldn't really compare South Korea and Japan with Qatar, because Korea and Japan have a much longer football tradition, they have invested much more in football, and they have a much larger population and a much larger football base.
Just look at their results in the last world cups, Korea and Japan often make it to the knockout stages of world cups and achieving great results.
Ok, it seems that Qatar is currently achieving good results in friendly matches, but does anyone seriously think that they would have qualified for this World Cup if they did not have the direct right to participate as hosts?

No, of course. No one holding that illusion. Before, Qatar isn't on the same level as some of the MENA teams in the region. If not for the host right, they wouldn't even pass against other strong teams like Iran, Iraq and Saudi Arabia. Qatar recently got good only because of the massive preparation for this World Cup. They got a lot of new players under their national team, buying and transferring left and right just for the stake to put up a good face as a host. I'm damn sure after this World Cup is over, Qatar will fall back to its place, behind stronger teams in MENA. Money can only buy them some temporary victories before and a bit after this World Cup.
39  Economy / Economics / Re: Agriculture HODL on: October 18, 2022, 09:49:55 AM
Tho, Agriculture products did see a price increase in all categories, I don't know about the final profit of the farmers take a huge leap or not. Cause from what I've read from earlier reports, things like fertilizer's price increase very much as well. Mainly because Russia take a huge share of fertilizer export and was barred from world trade. Agriculture products heavily rely on transport and storage fees too and you saw how fuel prices have increased. I suspect the profit margin for the farmers isn't changed as much and they aren't taking a huge profit from the increased price of Agriculture products. Price mark up all because of things I said above and inflation as well.

YEKINDAR has become a free agent officially.

He was first brought as a replacement for buster. But he was one of the most important players for Liquid for a long time. His contribution to the successes of his team recently was really big. It is interesting to see that he has bought himself out of his contract with Liquid. I wasn't expecting such thing to happen honestly because things were going on amazing for Liquid in the recent times. They are the 4th biggest team in the world rankings right now. I wonder what team will be his next station. I hope that he becomes a part of one of the strongest teams. Because he has a great talent not to waste with lower teams.

https://www.hltv.org/news/34814/yekindar-becomes-free-agent
Dumb move from Liquid there. YEKINDAR carried the whole Liquid team hard in some very critical moments and clutches. If Liquid benched YEKINDAR, who's going to take his place? And the upcoming Rio Major is nearby, is the new player have enough time to train and be familiar with Liquid strats? Anyways, YEKINDAR becomes a free agent and may send a signal for new CS organizers out there to get him. Maybe TSM?

Also, the latest top 20 HLTV ranking was updated on 17 Oct.
