21  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Do you believe in god? on: November 27, 2017, 11:24:56 PM
The first reason why I believe in God is the inheritance of the parents whom we can not deny that they have inherited that belief. Secondly, because I feel peaceful when I am close to God so with that I strongly believe in the existence of God.

My issue with this is that beliefs aren't inherited, they are taught. our parents were religious nit because they were born that way, but because they have been indoctrinated since birth, the same way you have.

By the time you are old enough to form your own beliefs, you have already been told for so long what the "truth" is that it is hard to challenge.

If i have children I will not teach them any religion until they have developed enough critical thinking skills to tell make believe from reality.  Only then are they developed enough to make a choice of what to believe.
22  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: *SCAM AWARE* Stolen BTC fake Bitcoin Gold Claim on: October 31, 2017, 06:55:18 PM
Sorry for your loss.  I hope this can at least help prevent you or other people from getting scammed in the future.  The crypto world is like the wild west right now, you need to be very careful with your private information.
23  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] eBTC | The New (ERC20) Bitcoin on: October 31, 2017, 06:42:09 PM

Can you tell me why I can not see my eBTC that was in my wallet MEW ?
I kept them precisely but I do not see them any more ...

Just hold tight. Contact @OPeculiar and inform him of the issue. Include your public address. And you will be compensated. I'm in the same boat as you, along with others.

My eBTC tokens were on etherdelta but On etherdelta eBTC no longer exists ...
is eBTC and eBTCold the same thing?

Where can I contact @Peculiar ?? on twitter Huh

Don't worry, all you have to do is search for the token by contract address. Go to the dropdown where you select what you want to trade and go to the bottom to add your own.

Isnīt Byteball a DAG based coin? Whats the main value of this project besides beeing another e-FILL-IN-COIN-NAME-HERE copycat of eBTC?

I suspect you will not get a reasonable answer to this.
26  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] eBTC | The New (ERC20) Bitcoin on: October 24, 2017, 05:50:44 PM
Why did all this drama have to happen while I was sleeping  f*ck!

Could have bought at half the price and made literally 100% gain in a matter of hours.

Dev team need to get their sh*t together.

lol for real this whole thing has been a giant shitstorm, wish I was smart enough to sell when it was over 50 cents.
27  Other / Off-topic / Re: Free bitcoin for starters! on: October 24, 2017, 05:43:43 PM
This is your only post.  That's not a good look.  Why would anyone trust a newbie to be giving away BTC?
28  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: IOTA on: October 24, 2017, 04:03:51 PM
Hi guy

Today, I try to use IOTA Light Wallet 2.5.1.

But , I can not use IOTA Wallet .

It always inform "could not connect to remote node" .

How can i fix it ?    or   Is there another way to transfer IOTA  at IOTA wallet ?

I believe they were doing some bugfixes and the network should be working normally again soon.  They are releasing a new wallet update so I think we will have to download that then generate addresses to restore balances.
29  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][PoS] USDStake - 100% Free Airdrop Distribution. on: October 20, 2017, 02:43:06 AM
is it scam or not. Why did you exclude us,newbies? What did we do to you?  Huh
I think is to prevent multiple new accounts by one person claiming coins.
Seems like the logical answer.
30  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Take part in 20min customer research Skype interviews, and get paid $20 for each on: October 18, 2017, 07:20:55 AM
Is the payment in ETH, BTC or something else?  Do you need a webcam or any special equipment?  How frequently can you complete interviews?  Some more details would be nice but this is an interesting proposition.

Received the transaction.  Will keep an eye on this project to see what happens with it!
32  Other / Off-topic / Re: Do you believe in aliens? on: October 17, 2017, 11:13:18 PM
I believe in aliens in a statistical sense.  Given the size of the universe and the (known) conditions for life, it is more likely than not that it t occurs in more than one place at any given time.  Looking at it in a 4 dimensional sense including all time, I think it is a near certainty that life has developed in more than a single location.

In terms of us actually meeting an intelligent alien life form, I think the scales of time and space make it pretty unlikely.  If what we know of physics is true and the speed of causality cannot be exceeded, then it is unfeasible for us to achieve communication because of the travel time of information. It's a pretty awe-inspiring feeling to attempt to realize just how unfathomably big of a space we are actually surrounded by.  Add to that the possibility that we have to exist in the same time period as well as both having tech advanced enough to communicate.

In terms of encountering unintelligent life, I think it is also unlikely. Lower level life forms would logically be more abundant, but they would also be harder to locate due to having less environmental impact and a lack of ability to communicate.
33  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Talk to me about cold storage please on: October 17, 2017, 11:04:50 PM
Don't be put off by the process. It's probably the best investment of time you can take before even investing in Bitcoin itself.

The wiki will probably have what your looking for and answer some of your questions: https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/How_to_set_up_a_secure_offline_savings_wallet

Great resource, thanks for sharing!  Can anyone elaborate more on creating an unsigned transaction then signing it on an airgapped computer?
34  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Best multi crypto currency wallet on: October 17, 2017, 10:48:55 PM
i think you can store all your tokens in eth wallet, and the best eth wallet is myetherwallet for other currency you can use best exchangers like  bittrex or polo.

Yes, I do agree myetherwallet is the best wallet at the moment...
I think waves wallet can be your alternative also...

Myetherwallet it is online wallet, and we all know that everything what is online is not safe.

There is no only one wallet where you can store all coins, but are safe desktop wallets where you can keep few of them.
Check for example Exodus - I use it, I am very happy with him.

The information is stored client-side for myetherwallet.  It generates a paper wallet for you and then you can use a keystore file or private key to control the funds through their interface.  The user has control over their own private keys so in that way it is unlike other available web wallets.

38  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][CND] Cindicator - Hybrid Intelligence for Financial Markets - September 12 on: October 13, 2017, 04:13:36 AM
This is an interesting idea. Rewarding people for making good predictions.  I wonder if it has any merit?
39  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Is there something like myetherwallet for Bitcoin? on: October 11, 2017, 07:38:54 PM

If you are looking for something similtar to MEW, I suggest you Coinbin[1], which is open source, don't require any internet connection and can be used from any PC if you have the email and password chosen when generating the wallet.

That looks like a very useful tool.  Is there any advantage in generating a SegWit address over a regular one?  I am making a paper wallet for someone else to store funds so I want to make sure they can access them later in the future. I know for cold storage paper wallets I should just need an address and private key right?

what would an investor know about the technical side of cryptos ? Undecided

I think it is very important to understand anything you are invested in, personally or financially. I find technology in general fascinating, I always like to learn more if possible.  In a way, learning is the purpose of life.
40  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: At What Point Does it Make Sense to Sell BTC for ETH on: October 10, 2017, 11:29:26 PM
I'm not that experienced with all of this stuff yet but here is my take:

It depends on whether you are looking at short or long term.  If you are talking about short term, then go with whatever you think will gain the most profit in your set time period. Obviously nobody really knows for sure what is going to go up or down in these markets over a short term period.  If you think that ETH is in a position to have a greater rise than BTC based on your research and intuition, then you should make the trade.

If you are talking about long term, you need to think about which you see has having more growth potential in the future.  BTC and ETH are in some ways competitors, but they aren't aiming to accomplish the same goals.  I think that you should align your portfolio with what you believe has long term viability. I personally don't see BTC or ETH disappearing any time soon, so I think they are both are good bets for the coming years. No idea about which one will perform better though.

I think BTC is established and gaining popularity among everyday people, while ETH is still only known to tech inclined people. That said, I think ETH has a great potential as a decentralized platform, although all the shitcoins being produced on it aren't helpful.
