The window for small investors to be able to participate in ICO's is closing. More and more, the quality ICO's are asking for 50 or 100 ETH minimums and holding private pre-sales for the wealthy. Little guys should get what they can while the getting is good.

Sell half for good profit and save half in case of moon. No coin has ever gone straight up forever. There will always be another dip to buy.

During this down time I have been stocking up on as many altcoins as I can since I think that at some point in the future there will be a tremendous bull run.

Personally I stay away from all Chinese coins, the same as I stay away from Chinese dog food or treats. They are scam artists of the first rank.

Some coins I think will have a great year are: Neblio NEBL, Icon ICX, Dragonchain DRGN, Chainlink LINK, Rock token RKT and Legolas LGO.

I am most interested in the team and their background. I look at the whitepaper and the quality of the idea and the feasibility. I prefer some kind of working project instead of just vaporware. Finally, I see if they are generating any kind of buzz.

I'm very excited about the recent news of the launch of the Taylor Academy. An educational site about cryptocurrency would be very useful to new entrants. It is also a great way to funnel new people into trying their mobile trading assistant.
Here are a list of the initial courses to be made available: Free courses Introduction to blockchain Introduction to cryptocurrencies Securing cryptocurrencies Standard courses Crypto market dynamics Introduction to trading Technical analysis I Fundamental analysis of blockchain projects Token economics Introduction to trading tools Premium courses Technical analysis II Advanced trading strategies Mastering trading tools Altcoins trading: strategies and opportunities Advanced trading operations (margin trading, lending, futures) ICO investment strategies

I don't see the merit system lasting. It is supposed to be a reward for instructive or insightful posts that are of benefit to the forum and thus the community, but in reality, it seems arbitrary and based on whims. Waiting on the kindness of strangers is a bad system.

There are many ICO rating and review sites including: foxico.io, wiserico.com, icospedia.com, icotop.io, icomarks.com, icobench.com, trackico.io. There is also @iconizer on twitter. These give you some choices to further investigate by looking at the whitepaper, team, website, bitcointalk announcement etc.

I had high hopes for this exchange when it began. I have BCO staking. However, I can't even withdraw of trade anything on this exchange because I can't log in. It gives me invalid password with my password and even if I use my private key. My bitcoin is being held hostage and I can do nothing. Also there is incredibly backed up support. And when I try to upgrade it takes me to page not found. I feel like this exchange is already overwhelmed and I don't have much hope for it to scale up.
Has anybody figured out how to overcome the invalid password or have I just lost my money on this? Someone said that I should have used the copy button instead of copy and paste, but that doesn't help me now.

It's always "It used to be better". Bounties are just getting started and there will be ebb and flow, but they will get better and better. Prepare yourself by building your accounts.

If you believe in the long term growth of the cryptocurrency markets, you would look upon corrections as a blessing. This is the time to accumulate more.

Airdrops were fun for me, but now they are too much trouble. Many want you to jump through too many hoops for very few coins. I am very choosy now and only participate if it is quick and easy and seems like a legit project looking for fair distribution.

I thought I couldn't get more excited about this project, but then they announce the Taylor Academy. The crypto space sorely needs a learning center and Taylor could occupy this niche. It also meshes well with the trading app. Learn crypto from Taylor Academy and use their app as your trading assistant. OMG this is fantastic!

I never try to get anyone into Crypto. So few have the temperment or stomach needed for this super volatile risky business. I figure anyone with what it takes for crypto trading is already in it and nothing could keep them from it. No one had to drag them into it.

My suggestions for the top two altcoins to invest in at this time are: Neblio NEBL and Icon ICX. But, you should pick up some Dragons DRGN too since they are so cheap.

I have done better buying after the ICO goes to market. The private buyers who got the real deals and the bounty people will sell off and usually drive the price lower than ICO.

If you've been in this game for any length of time you would know about the dangers of exchanges. If your money is on an exchange you don't really own it. It can be taken from you at any time the owners decide to do a runner with millions. I've seen it happen at Mt Gox, Cryptsy, Mintpal, Cryptorush, and Maxx just to name the ones I remember. It's only a matter of time before the next one happens and people lose whatever money they foolishly kept there.

Quit trading it away. Hold on to it and add as much as you can to it by buying a little bitcoin the first of each month without paying attention to the bitcoin price. Many people go broke trying to learn to trade when they could have done much better just buying and holding bitcoin over time.

I'm not optimistic for huge growth this year. I think we will be in a kind of holding pattern until some of the ICO's actually become important companies. As of now, none have done much of anything and the most successful altcoin is ethereum and all it's accomplished is spawning ICO's. There's lots of hype about the blockchain, but so far no real world use case which I think is needed for real growth in the crypto space.
