21  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: War affects the Entire Cryptocurrency? on: January 10, 2020, 12:12:35 PM
its CRAP and fake news.. people want to find reasons for pump or dump just anywhere

22  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: If you have a $2000 and had to invest in crypto which coins would you buy ? why? on: January 10, 2020, 12:02:38 PM
there are plenty of coins i'd invest in.. most of them has strong correlation in price movements
so invest in few coins and if one pumps, just sell and re-invest in others
slowly it'll grow
some of the coins i'd invest in are Dash, ADA, XMR, ZEC, ETC..
these projects innovate and have good long reputation in the market
95% of the coins are useless so have to find the ones that here to stay
23  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Bull Run or Bull Trap on: January 10, 2020, 11:45:49 AM
no one can know for sure
but it looks like we are really close to the bottom
volatility drops, charts look good, positive momentum coming for the next weeks in many altcoins
24  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will 2020 give new hope to Altcoin? on: January 07, 2020, 03:51:42 AM
Every new beginning gives new hope so I think this new year will be a hopeful one for the altcoins. But still the question remains to their individual projects. The ones which are contributing big to the development of crypto will grow while those that do not will vanish. This is also a year that is full of hope for Bitcoin.

i think that the only thing you should do is watch on the charts
everything else is an opinion or a theory
charts showing that the momentum is coming to turn into green very soon in 2020
and thats everything that matters
many coins are oversold for months now in weeky charts
we've waited a long time for the chart to rise. and this only happens with little value. we must see increased trade. if only the value graph increases but the trade moves only slightly it will be very difficult to wait for the market to be improved.

its because we did not have the right momentum on the charts
now it looks much better position to make a rally
look at weeky chart of the altcoins on Binance..
25  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Sold my house for buying altcoins need your help on: January 07, 2020, 03:49:19 AM
I really wonder what kind of portfolio this guy managed to make with his money
really risky move to sell the house
but not always a bad idea
if he makes fast money and buys 3 houses, no one can say that it was a bad idea
best investors took risks on the beginning of their ways
26  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What altcoins are you bullish about in 2020? on: January 07, 2020, 02:27:12 AM
right now im really bullish for the coming months about
XLM
DASH
SC (sia coin)
ETC

it looks like they'll start pumping one after another before middle of the year
27  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Blocknet Speculation Thread on: January 07, 2020, 01:58:15 AM
i dont like blocknet project so much.. to little liquidity and support from community
coins like this can pump from nowhere
but there are many coins like this .. for example DRGN
so its kind of gambling when you invest in it
kind of like throwing darts
28  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can i play games and get paid in crypto ? on: December 05, 2019, 05:00:36 AM
tell me if you find such a thing, i will make a comeback haha
i played both dota2 and csgo
actually the only games i the last 10 years  Cheesy

but can you explain me please, why would they pay us to play the game? what is the incentive to do so?
29  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will BNB reach $50 This Year? on: December 05, 2019, 04:49:11 AM
i actually think the opposite will happen
some BNB whale will dump on the market to make price cheaper and buy other alts or BTC
30  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is the market currently being manipulated? on: December 05, 2019, 03:36:34 AM
this market is very easily manipulated - so yes it is manipulated
you can see it just by the high volumes on exchanges
by fake news
its already kind of manipulation - isnt it?
think about how many things happening that we can not see..
i really dont want to think about how strong the manipulation
but i really think that the final goal of the manipulators is to grow the market and make it even more profitable for them

ust investing in projects that keep on building
thats the best thing to do in my opinion
31  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Top 3 Cryptocurrency Marketplaces on: December 05, 2019, 03:07:36 AM
OpenBazaar has a very good user experience, a big variety of items to purchase and a strong team who care about privacy of people.
they also accept Zcash thats why i love them even more
top marketplace in this space
32  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is your take? on: December 05, 2019, 03:02:35 AM
my advices to crypto investors are:

1)Read books about investment - not trading
there are literally recipies to people who did it for 40 years, who talk about investment
you will learn a lot of things from these books - since Crypto is just the same as any other market just better Smiley

2) invest a little amount every month - hold - diversify the porfolio

3) if you are in a loss - buy more to dollar cost average

many more actually but everything depends on the situation
there are projects that you should not dollar cost average but sell because for example they are showing many red flags
3 is enough for today  =]
33  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Coin PUMP ? on: December 05, 2019, 02:59:00 AM
well the perfect trade in my opinion is to make X10 and to sell
so if you initial investment was 10k$ , you need to make only two times 10x and you have a million
or if you have invested in 5-10 projects every project 1000$ , you need to do 10x only 3 times
its not as easy as it sounds but it also not that difficult in our space
the only thing you need is patience and constant research
34  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: So many altcoins on: December 05, 2019, 02:56:42 AM
thats a good question
thats actually the main reason why i like Zcash and Cardano
Cardano will be a platform that allows you to create tokens, but the ADA coin itself will behave as a currency and as a fuel (like ETH and others)
the intention behind ADA is to make very operational and to build options for the coin itself instead of building tokens on it
there are already many projects that build options for ADA (watch dlab/ Quanterall/ emurgo/vacuum lab and more..)

the same thing goes for ZCash
Tron, ETH,ETC and other projects are going to use Zcash on their blockchain , instead of building something of their own which they could easily do.
35  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Other ways of digital Marketing outside Bounties for cryptocurrencies. on: December 05, 2019, 02:10:50 AM
I actually believe in this way:
Invest in a project - and stary to digital market it on social media/ real life /forums for free - this will pay you later by price appreciation
if everyone does that and brings 1-10 people who buy
and the people who join do something to
it makes a really big group of investors who also can be considered as a marketing team
people can use their abilities for that, some can make designs, others can make videos and twitter accounts with many users

if you use your skills just to get some bounty, it feels like you got something but it actually much less in the long run than what you get in the scheme i described.
dont try to become rich by bounties, better make an investment every month and put your mouth where your money is
but not by trolling and argueing like many do, its not a competition
this ecosystem should grow together
36  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Now is the time to invest into alt coin on: December 05, 2019, 02:06:54 AM
haha funny thing this thread is exactly 1 year old.
i wonder how this thread survived for so long and still relevant
its actually was a good time to buy a year ago, all the coins had a good rally from january to june
looks like the cycle is over and now its a good time to buy some altcoins again

37  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Altcoin's price is disappointing!!! on: December 05, 2019, 02:04:40 AM
well it depends on what angle you are looking
in my opinion altcoin prices are not disappointing because they are cheap and people can afford to buy a good amount with every salary and accumulate
before the prices start to go up again (hopefully)

everything depends on the point of view !
38  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How NOT To Get Scammed on: December 05, 2019, 01:40:45 AM
I believe that every good lesson starts with a good story and on this note, I want to tell you about the experience I had that made me cautious of "Get rich quick" schemes online especially those pertaining to Cryptocurrencies.

I discovered Bitcoin in early 2013 and although I didn't take it seriously at first, I was earning little money from it doing tasks online (pay for view, faucets and such), I took it more as a hobby and never intended on selling the bitcoin, I just knew in my heart that it would do great so I wanted to accumulate as much as possible without having to spend my money buying it (this was before I got into mining), fast forward to 2015 when the money doubling schemes were everywhere, I kept seeing adverts online and even though I knew better, I decided to invest in one of them (Avabitcoin) with the coins I got from my early days of discovering bitcoin, Avabitcoin was a platform where you invest bitcoin and they supposedly invest it and return profits to you on a daily basis, I decided to take the risk and invested for the first day, got back my money plus 12% profit, and greed overtook me and I did kept doing it for 2 more weeks before they vanished with my funds. I kept going all in even when I had already doubled my money.

If you want to avoid getting scammed online, you just have to follow the following:

Greed: Greed has led a lot of people straight to rekt, like my story above would have told you, I couldn't resist the pull of greed even when I had doubled my funds.

HYIPs: When it looks too good to be true, then it's probably too good to be true, when you see any investments that promise high yield returns, please stay far away from them, when you see genuine projects that offers returns, most of their returns are so low, some of them are average of 10% per annum and it's a wonder that we see platforms offering 10% and above in a day and we gladly jump straight into rekt, like I said, if it sounds too good to be true, then it's too good to be true.

FOMO: If not for the hype that Avabitcoin generated, I would not have invested in it in 2015, learn how to DYOR and avoid what others have to say about projects they seem to support, infact your mindset should be that everybody is trying to rip you off so if you always look at every hyped project with that mindset, you would have a clearer picture of the project without the blindfold of FOMO.

Rushing: Avoid rushing into any investment because you heard it's paying others, one of the virtues of a Cryptocurrency investor is patience, Cryptocurrency investments are high risk investments and you have to treat it like gambling, never invest more than you can afford to lose, never go all in on any project no matter how good it looks.

EDIT:
Click on random websites: Many airdrop websites you see these days asking for personal details are fake and many of them are just clever ways to steal your private details and use it to steal your funds, be careful of the links you click and if possible, bookmark your sensitive websites (the ones that need private information like private keys and passwords) so that you wouldn't fall for a clone website.

Use new wallets: We can all remember the recent incident that happened with satowallet where the wallet stopped working and users lost a sizable amount of funds, we should stick to the existing and trusted wallets instead of just jumping into any random wallets swe see online, many of them don't have your best interest at heart.

Repeat Passwords:  I was just surfing through the forum a few minutes ago and saw a post where a guy managed to hack an ICO website and contacted the admins and the admins just don't care, never repeat passwords in two websites so that if a hacker manages to get their hands on one of your passwords, they would not be able to affect your funds in other platforms.

Please try to include telegram scams on your list, they are trending big now and almost all newbies from india have fall victim to this scam tricks, scammers steal project teams image and use a near identity name too, for example a legit project team member can  go by @fisher as the username and scammers will change the name to @flsher with same profile image to give you good offer, if you don't check very well you will think its legit.

If you have any similar experience, please kindly share it, it might help others (especially the newbies to avoid being scammed by shady projects out there and if I see good suggestions, I would edit this post and add them as well.

Seen some awesome answers and I would be adding them soon, keep the suggestions coming.

thats a great reading..
as i said to a friend of mine few days ago: "the best lessons i got in life were when i lost everything"
i see that you also learned few leasons from your own mistakes and from mistakes of others too
i also learned that we should stay as we are and keep trying even if something terrible happened, because every successful/rich person had the moment of "losing everything" once or multiple times.
the only difference between the people is: one stays and one leaves

thank you for the insparation
39  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Can Altcoins do it alone ? on: December 05, 2019, 01:28:03 AM
We have often witnessed that the growth of altcoin is associated with the growth of bitcoin as whenever there is a pump in the value of bitcoin we have witnessed green days for altcoins too but how long will altcoins be dependent on bitcoin? Do you think altcoin can do it alone and have it's own pump and dump without being dependent on bitcoin? What will it take for altcoin to prosper without bitcoin's involvement?

Altcoins are traded against BTC mostly, so when Bitcoin goes down the price of Altcoins goes down too (and the opposite)
its just the market structure and it'll probably stay like that forever,
because if we want to change that we need to make a complex program that will buy/sell the altcoin automatically by watching the BTC price and you dont want to do that, maybe only with a stable coin to maintain its price.
40  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Waves Investors Beware!Sasha Ivanov keeps peoples funds on: November 07, 2019, 04:17:58 AM
The management does not want to enclose details how ico funds is spent, nor how much of it is left.
Some funds were reserved for marketing, but the amount of marketing is laughable.
Just saying, draw your own conclusions.
What do you expect for having a forex trader as a CEO, I dont even know what Sasha achieved over the years collecting millions of dollar and come up with s Dex? Yeah, dead exchange that has a very low volume.

Waves has more than just a DEX..
but yea i agree with you, they show some red flags here
i am thinking about what to do next with my coins
