With the slow and steady traction of governments transitioning into cryptocurrencies with their own version of it, will bitcoin lose momentum and slowly and silent lose its value over time?
Nope. Not in a hundred years. Bitcoins are still landslidding the competition with how much it can bring to the market. If each country makes their own bitcoins, it'll be fiat money all over again. They'll start regulating theirs and others and then start massive cryptoexchanges around the world, defeating the purpose of bitcoins. However, as the masses begin to enter the crypto-universe, one must note, that they do not share the nature or the passion of the original crypto-enthusiasts in bitcoin. They are simply viewing the path to least resistance. And the greater the inflow of people, the more current bitcoin holders, may need to conform to the changing tides.

I believe yes. The gambling cartel, which is one of the most powerful in the world will not want anyone entering the game without a high barrier to entry.

Amazon accepting bitcoin would be disruptive further driving price of bitcoin up perhaps to even greater than 24K.

I dont think the government fully comprehends what it is dealing with. In order to stop something one has to fully understand all moving parts of it. The problem is that the demand for it is growing faster than the government's comprehension.......

I hate the fact that bitcoin is so expensive. The barriers to entry are high causing an obstacle.

Is Reg A SEC approval the best alternative to launch an SEC compliant ICO?

Hold onto it. Its a sellers market. And with the number of ICO's being launched, widespread awareness has just started. Which means there are about to be at least 5 to 10 times more buying volume in the coming months causing price to go further up.

Given the limited finite supply of bitcoin, and the growing unlimited demand for fast, reliable, anonymous, and transaction free payment transfer systems, bitcoin will continue to rise in value at least for the foreseeable future, making it the Berkshire Hathaway of cryptocurrencies. At least for now it is the strongest currency in the world. Time will tell if Ethereum or other platforms or Crypto-hybrid fiat currencies will derail the future of bitcoin.

Lack of jurisdiction within a smart contract would make it unenforceable. Additionally, trying to prove identity of the defendant to appropriately serve them would also be very challenging, given the burden of proof lies on the plaintiff in any litigation. How does you protect yourself from these issues?

While I understand why Bitcoin may always remain in demand given that it is the original cryptocurrency, however, given that crypto/fiat hybrid currencies are representative of governments, would have the ability to impose upon masses and entire nations rules and regulations that must be abided. Consequently, widespread acceptance could be forced onto the masses diluting the Bitcoin over time.

One potential litmus test to determine viability of a project is as follows:
It is often said cash is king. However, in truth cash flow is king. This is why real estate occupied by long term tenants sells at a much higher valuation than a property with no tenant. Therefore, in determining viability of a project, investors should seek the project's ability to generate reliable cash flow with reasonable predictability, foresight and transparency. If the path to generate cash flow is clear and sound then the project will most likely succeed. Otherwise, its a cash grab.........

If you cant beat them, join them. By 2020, most governments would have launched their own version of cryptocurrencies. Russia, Abu Dhabi, Dubai, India, Estonia and soon enough the western world too. Once you have crypto versions of fiat currencies floating around, consumer will have a lot more choice to choose from. This will dilute the demand for bitcoin that is currently being chased by just about everyone.
Instead the future will belong to the platform that will underwrite most of these cryptocurrencies.
