Thanks you for the site
Easy to use & very useful
22  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Zcoin (XZC) - Implementing Zerocoin technology for financial privacy on: November 14, 2017, 11:31:36 PM
http://zcoin.io/znodes-specifications-release-founders-rewards-reduction/

We are happy to make two very important announcements, the release of the details of Znodes and a reduction in Founders’ rewards!

Znode Requirements

Znodes allow for incentivized nodes to host a complete version of the blockchain and help to ensure nodes are sufficiently powerful to process and verify computationally intensive Zerocoin transactions. Unlike other coins’ masternodes that process privacy transactions, Znodes are trustless, meaning you don’t have to trust them to keep your anonymity or to hide how your funds were anonymized. This is because the Zerocoin protocol relies on zero knowledge proofs and cryptography to ensure that results can always be independently verified.
We have finalized the specifications required for a Znode so our community and existing/potential investors can prepare themselves:

1000 XZC
A computer or VPS with a fixed IP address
1 GB of RAM
Enough disk space to store the blockchain (25gb is recommended for the moment)

Typically a VPS of this specification costs around USD5 to run a month per node and you can head on to Vultr, Linode, or DigitalOcean to obtain a basic VPS when Znodes are launched.

We are currently testing Znodes on our testnet and are set to launch at the end of November-first week of December 2017. We are working with exchanges and pools to ensure a smooth transition for the hard fork required. We will also give instructions for people to run their own testnet Znodes in the next few days.

Founders’ Rewards Reduction: Giving Back to the Community

Currently, 20% of each block (10 xzc) for the first four years of Zcoin (after which there will be no more rewards) will be given to our seed investors, founder and a bounty wallet to fund the team. This worked out to be a total of 10% of total supply.

This is broken down as follows:
Poramin Insom (Founder and Lead Dev): 2 XZC
Seed Investors: 6 XZC
Team and Bounty Wallet: 2 XZC
Total: 10 XZC

With the launch of Znodes, Poramin Insom, Roger Ver, Tim Lee and the other seed investor have agreed to reduce their rewards by half towards Znode’s share of the block reward and also an increase to the Team and Bounty wallet!

This will allow the team to remain sufficiently funded so that we can invest in hiring more developers and deploy additional marketing. The new Founders’ Rewards after the Znode hard fork will be as follows:

Poramin Insom: 1 XZC
Seed Investors: 3 XZC
Team and Bounty Wallet: 3 XZC
Total: 7 XZC
This means that now the Founders’ Reward has been reduced from 20% of each block to 14% of each block with Poramin and the other seed investors all taking a 50% cut. As before, all Founders’ Rewards will cease after 4 years (of which 1 year has already elapsed).

Economics

Nodes will be allocated 15 XZC per block or 30% of the block reward. The charts below illustrates how the block reward is divided before and after the hard fork, with some estimated return calculations based on 50% or 60% of supply being held in Znodes. The returns are of course dependent on actual take up rate of the Znodes.

Good news, thank you dev.
I think 1000 XZC to make a node is ver few : I was more thinking about 2000 or 2500 XZC, specialy since XZC is very cheap (under 0.005 btc).
Can you explain with more precision (examples) the nodes revenues please ?

XZC is 0.0034 BTC now, so 1 node = 1000 XZC = 3.4BTC = about 22k USD already

Very good new with znode, less founder's tax.
Good job Devs!

Has anyone had success with
h81 pro + pcie 1->3 expander + 1080 ti?

I tried it only once, didnt work right away and didnt troubleshoot it further.
Want to expand rig now and would need those extra ports.
I have tried a lot, but expander doesn't work with gtx 10xx at all.

thx for reply dude

I dont have H81 pro MOBO, but i use PCIE expander with Asus Z270-P and it works (6 PCIE slot + expander + m2 to PCIE  = 9 GTX1070/GTX1080ti / rig)
Here is my specs:

- OS : linux (ubuntu 16.04)
- PCIE : Gen 1
- 4G encoding : Enable
- Driver : 384.98

Its very strange with zcoin hashrate on mining pool hub

Pool hashrate : 79880 MH/s
Network hashrate : 76170 MH/s

How can a pool have more hashrate than total network ?

what`s the best afterburner oc for zcash guys ?

For me it’s +100 core
75% tdp
Gives me around 720 sols for 200w

I'm mining equihash with +100core, -300mem, PL 190W ~700sol (gigabyte aorus / Aorus extreme / EVGA SC black)
27  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Bitcoin Gold Mining [Miners and suggestions] on: November 12, 2017, 02:58:50 PM
Early adoption is and always will be a good recipe for success.

6 hours left at the time of this writing. The first few hours of bitcoin gold mainnet launch will be profitable for mining because still very few have migrated their huge mining farms to bitcoin gold. Once the majority of miners get word that mining BTG is profitable they will migrate and cause the difficulty to rise.

You already have 2.3 Msols on suprnova Testnet  Shocked
When mainnet is launched, suprnova will switch to mainnet with same stratum & port
28  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 1080Ti Specific - Best mining option on: November 12, 2017, 02:55:26 PM
Zcoin difficulty is absolutely insane.
I stopped mining Zcoin when diff ~10k, its not profitable
29  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Best Altcoin to invest in for 2018 and WHY !!! on: November 05, 2017, 06:38:45 PM
OMG - longterm (waiting for their platform in Q1 2018)
Zcoin - privacy coin with masternode (will be released end of this month)
30  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 1080Ti Specific - Best mining option on: November 05, 2017, 06:31:21 PM
I am earning a lot less zcoins On MiningpoolHub then I should be according to whattomine etc,
Should earn around 0.9-1 zcoins with my 3 1080 tis and 1 1060 but I am only getting 0.5 -0.64
Don't know if its the pool or its just that zcoin isn't profitable anymore
Anyone else mining zcoin on MPH or suprnova or anyother pool
I am thinking of switching to  Suprnova or switching back to DGB altogether , Was thining of switching to bitcoingold altogether but its main net is taking to much time to release

Because difficulty of zcoin skyrocket (from 7k to 10k now) so you will earn lot less
31  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [OS] nvOC easy-to-use Linux Nvidia Mining v0019-1.4 on: November 05, 2017, 06:26:18 PM
Let's suppose that I have several rigs running nvOC behind a router with one public IP and a NAT server (the rigs have static private IPs).
I would like to SSH on the rigs individually from a remote location from a different IP address.

I was thinking about setting SSH on a different port on each rig, for example:
rig1 SSH on port 1024
rig2 SSH on port 1025
rig3 SSH on port 1026
And so on...

On the router I would setup virtual servers to redirect traffic on port 1024 to rig 1, 1025 to rig 2 and so on

Do you think it's a good idea or are there better ways to do this?

just redirect a different port for each rig so when you connect:

XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX port 10001 for rig1 redirect to 192.168.1.11 port 22 for rig1
XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX port 10002 for rig2 redirect to 192.168.1.12 port 22 for rig2
etc...

If you are sing putty, just create a new shortcut with -P 1000x for each rig

I did the same and it works great

What is the lowest you guys have been able to get your 1080Ti's on the power target settings?
I have been able to get mine as low as 68% but any lower and it crashes the system.

On linux, equihash algo, i can lower the power limit to 150w/1080 ti (600sols/h, 4sols/w). System is stable without crash (12h testing). Its only good if your electricity price is high.
What miner share your oc settings? thanks.

EWBF 3.4, power limit 150w, core +100, mem -300

Hello,

I am mining Zcoin on Miningpoolhub with my Nvidia 1080 Ti rig, but I have a bit of problem. problem is - Invalid shares from 7% to 48% (yes, correct...) per each block. Average around 15 - 20%.   I think this is not normal.

anyone can advise/help? Why this is happening and big % of invalid shares??

Thank you,

Regards

You can try Djm34 miner from zcoin official.
But mining Zcoin is not very profitable right now with diff ~10k

anyone got rig with 4x 1080ti and 1200w psu ? I have 4x 1080ti and i put only 3 on rig because idk if the psu can do it...
1200w psu is enough with 4x 1080ti for mining

Hi, guys! Mining for Bitcoin Gold has started. I have found the mining pool for Bitcoin Gold. Yes, there are not so many miners yet there, so you will be among the first ones. Here is the link for this resource. https://minepool.gold/

Isn't it testnet mining? The mainnet is not released yet

I like privacy coins, so i invested/mined:
- ZEC
- ZEN
- XZC
- MNR

I also bought some ETH for long term.
