P.S. Noise is not an issue.
lay the case on it's side rather than standing up, and keep the side panel off.

don't forget about cooling the vram down on the video cards too, not just the gpu chips.

don't solo mine with that low of a hash rate, join a pool.

create an image of your basic install using ghost or acronis true image. If the hdd crashes and windows won't boot, 10 minutes later you can clone the image back onto the hdd (or have a spare ready to go) and you can boot back into windows.

if you want to mine using the cpu as well to get a little extra, I've used pooler's miner on q6600 cpu's (old quad core) with 4 threads each getting ~7Kh/s (~28Kh/s total).

not bad for the cpu which would otherwise be sitting there idle.
