21  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is Expanse(EXP) worth investing? on: November 06, 2017, 01:16:13 AM
The problem I have with Expanse team is that they have not really create their own part, they need to leave the shadow of Ethereum, now that eTHEREUM is moving to POS, it will be intresting how the team create their own path

I agree with you to certain extend, I doubt they can leave the shadow of Ethereum.  Their tagline is that EXP is the stable fork of Ethereum.
The EXP team has built an EXP.DAO.  Now they are also having an ICO call TokenLab which utilises the EXP network.  They are slowly building an Ecosystem that uses EXP which I see lots of potential for future growth.  Hopefully, they can prove themselves as a good alternative to Ethereum when everyone finds Ethereum too expensive.

I know guys that this is not the right forum to discuss this but i don't know who else to talk to. I am really thinking about killing myself. I know I am a coward by thinking that this is the solution but I don't have the will to live on.  so what is the most painless way to kill yourself?

Don't do it.  There is always a solution.  There will always be someone that will help you.  You have to reach out to the people around you.  Whatever problems that you have now, it is temporary.  Focus on finding the solution.   Happier days will come.  Live to see the rainbow!  Breathe the fresh morning air!  Fall in love!  There are many things that is worth living for!  Stay alive!
27  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: LBRY.IO - DICUSSION THREAD on: October 31, 2017, 01:23:59 PM
Why price not $1 yet?

because streaming video takes 20 seconds

Unfortunatelly there is still many difficulties for this project (and other of this kind)
-technical
- legal (how to filter illegal contest while stating decentralised)
But most  difficult will be to win with the big mainstream competitors - such as youtube..
there is one thing giving as hope to see a daylight - LBRY should  bring some  exclussive content to bring more users!

That is sad to know.  This looked like such a good idea.
28  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Best Ethereum wallet on: October 31, 2017, 01:11:00 PM

MyEtherWallet (MEW) is one of the friendliest to use.  It might not seem the case in the beginning, but it is not hard to figure out.

I have tried others, but I still like MEW.  It is also widely supported by most ICOs that uses ERC20 tokens.
29  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Still believe in ICO ? on: October 31, 2017, 01:00:29 PM

Yes!  Just need to be more picky and choose carefully.  No more random hits and strike!
30  Economy / Speculation / Re: Investing without Programming Skills on: October 31, 2017, 10:46:26 AM

As an investor, knowledge of the Business, the Team, the marketing, the product, the market, the Forks that at coming, and your general financial knowledge on investing are more important.

The only real technical thing that you need to know is to learn how to setup the Wallets, how to receive/transfer, how to use the exchange, how not to get scammed!

31  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: I want to invest in something very unique on: October 31, 2017, 10:38:59 AM
I am looking for some very unique blockchain/crypto related project that is in a early stage and wants funding.I have a budget in 5 figures and would like to get partnership in proportion to my investment.
I can choose 5 different projects to invest in or 1 single project to invest all.
Scammers stay away as I will be doing thorough research and documentaion before investing.

Consider TokenLab(LAB) which uses Expanse(EXP).
TokenLab in still in it's ICO stage.    Expanse is still in the early stage, but achieving many of their milestones.

I am not employed or receiving anything from them.
(declaration:  I hold a small about of EXP)

32  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Suggest me an exchanger wherewhere I can find most of the new coins on: October 31, 2017, 10:30:09 AM

If the new coins are ETH based, then take a look at Etherdelta.

Don't smoke.  E-cig or vaping will also cause cancer.  By the time you get cancer, regret is too late.

I will be very careful about this type of investment.
35  Economy / Securities / Re: Crypto Index Fund on: October 31, 2017, 10:13:57 AM
I want a crypto index fund.

It should be an index fund of the top X coins in terms of market cap, weighted by market cap. Perhaps use coinmarketcap.com to recalculate. I would be happy if X was any number over about 10. Now, this might catch some scams, but it will be self correcting. The primary advantage is the same advantage of index stock funds over actively managed stock funds.

Details tbd include whether the fund rebalances every day or every week or whatever, where to buy the coins that it would hold and where and how to trade to maintain the index-required holding percentages.

I have been looking/reading/watching for several weeks now and haven't found a passive coin index fund. It should exist and I would invest if it existed.

What do you think?

Edit: It appears cryptomover's index may be exactly what I want, but I think I read that U.S. investors are excluded.

There is an ICO on this now.  It is call Crypto20.  https://crypto20.com/en/

Go and see if this is what you wanted.

38  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: What crypto is the best to start with on: October 31, 2017, 08:52:14 AM
hey guys im a bit new to this im wondering wich crypto is the best to start with if i wanna mine... my graphic card is  a Nvidia gforce Gtx970

If you want to mine for fun and also have the satisfaction of watching the number of coins appearing our of nowhere, try mining SiaCoins with that GTX970.
But take note that SiaCoins worth extremely little now.  Maybe if you keep it for a few years, it might worth something.

If you want to mine something that is worth more, then try to mine Ethereum.  But you will mine a long time (months) to get a tiny fraction of a token.  But that tiny fraction is also worth something given the prices of ETH now is about US$308/ETH.

Go ahead and try it to understand how it works.  That is how we all learn.
39  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: is mining still profitable? on: October 31, 2017, 06:22:39 AM
Depends on what coin are you mining.
In general, mining takes a period of time to get back your investment. If you are an impatient person, just buy.  You will feel that mining just takes forever.
40  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Is Expanse(EXP) worth investing? on: October 31, 2017, 05:46:22 AM
Hi

Expanse have been achieving their milestones in their roadmap.  Their price and volume is still rather low.
I feel that EXP is undervalued, but I like to hear some honest opinion about it.
Thanks!
( Declaration:  I am holding a small amount of EXP. )
