21  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Hope I can still ride the bull. on: May 18, 2019, 06:53:29 PM
I've been away from the forum for the past few months because of some projects that needs full attention. I've never even opened or read any news about bitcoin's performance for the past few months until I bumped a very good friend of mine and told me that bitcoins on the bull. So I checked online and seen some good greens and was very much excited to get back into trading.

I've already lost track of the current events regarding crypto so I need to catch up and get back to the forum again to gain some vital information.

I just found out that the only trading platform I used to trade got hacked. (Binance)

I really wanted to play part of the bull runs and wanted to earn profit so I'd like to ask for your help and suggestions on what trading platforms I may use as of the moment

Thanks in advance! More power to you guys!  Wink
First of all, welcome back to green period time of bitcoin. Honestly i'm so sorry to hear your ill luck of having your account hacked in Binance. You can be seen as one of bitcoin trading maniac!, because you are bold to come back after being lost, i mean you had lost your faith a lot to a renow exchange. Obviously, there are many differents kinds of trading platform that you can give your trust on it like Bittrex, Poloniex, and Kucoin and so on. Bitcoin has its sign on the way of having bull run. Hopefully, you may soon find an exchange. Good luck!
22  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: should hold or sold BNB ? on: May 17, 2019, 07:08:24 PM
With current reputation as well as businesses of Binance, I don't think selling BNB is a good choice. If you buy it at low, you can sell a small part to get some finance. But if you've just buy it and a little profited, it'd better to hold. Firstly, Binance has quarterly coin burn, this will reduce supply of BNB and hence increase its price. Secondly, Binance DEX is about to launch for BNB-based tokens. Many ERC-20 based tokens will move to BNB chain and consequently boost BNB's reputation. Finally, bitcoin's on the move. Being one of the top altcoins, BNB will constantly and healthily pump after bitcoin.
Yep, kind of agree with his idea. If i were you, i too choose to buy instead of sell it. BNB reputation is not bad in crypto market, it is even considered a potential coin. As you can see, it's listed on the top ten coins in coinmarketcap. In this tough market, you'd better to make your own decision with your own thinking. I mean you should take some research before making your mind up, not to be too hurried to decide quickly with the current movement. Anyways, it's your choice, let ponder and afterwards don't lead bad mood if the outcome is not like your expectation.
23  Economy / Speculation / Re: bitcoin has reached 8000$, then what? on: May 17, 2019, 06:49:33 PM
I do not think Bitcoin is going to go any more bear after this as we already know Bitcoin as a lot of wounds to heal before facing the next crisis. Let's hope Bitcoin does go up again. Maybe I am wrong and maybe e there a lot to explore in the market which is not informed to us but I do not see anything which is going to Trigger more rise.

When it comes to cryptocurrency, we all know that nothing can be said surely and previously, but we still never give up on making prediction even how the market's movement. Generally, the increase of bitcoin in this year,2019, has shown us a better mood than it did in 2018. The sign of bulling market is predicted to be more dominant than the bear one. However, due to its highly volatile, we cannot know exactly what it will be. Today bitcoin has immediately decrease had made many people get surprise as i see. Anyways, i think it's just a normal thing in market, it will soon have recovery.
24  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: SUDDEN CRASH on: May 17, 2019, 06:32:35 PM
Guyz what had happened to market, seems a sudden crash to everything, Bitcoin is dropped to 7100 in minutes. Any news?
Calm down dude! it's just a very normal situtation in crypto market. I think with those who are in the crypto market about a year all know about its highly volatile. Sometimes, it has a slightly increase, a remarkably increase; but sometimes, it's immediately falling. That's specific the whole market works. Personally, thanks to its volatility, rarely do i have too much concern on bitcoin price, because i believe that no matter how falling it is, still it will soon have a recovery.
25  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: technical vs strategy on: May 17, 2019, 06:18:34 PM
I would use my own strategy rather than relying on a technical analysis.
Just look at most of the TA's prediction does they seem good to you?
Most of them are purely guess and doesn't have a solid proof to back up their price prediction and anyone could do what they are doing.
To say frankly, we have our own way of making a decision as long as it is suitable for our work. Personally, both technical and strategy are quite same necessary, generally both of them give us a different function that help us a lot, both are useful. Seemingly techinical is inclined to technical analysis. Usually some prediction which is made with technical does not impact on our emotion a lot. On contrary, our own strategy have further influence on our emotion, actually sometimes it harm our mood a lot. Anyways, i think we'd better combine two these things up to the market situation.
26  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: If you think so please stop! on: May 16, 2019, 01:28:00 PM
I have seen some recent posts after this somewhat "unexpected" Bitcoin pump that people are greedy and hence should cash out! Really!!? I don't know why people are saying so but we have endured the longest bear market ever (I suggest Theymos should give all of us a tag  Grin for that achievement  Grin), with insults from people that we're greedy, charlatans, etc. And funny enough! there are people amongst us who have seen thousands, hundreds, of Dollars drain down to "coins" and now that we are about to smile some are saying we're greedy and should cash out! I don't know why they are saying that but for those who have been in the game fr a long time know we are no where near where we've been before. Please if you want to cash out, fine you can but don't call HODLers greedy! In fact, we deserve a citation rather lol...
HODLers aren't greedy it is their way to gain their profit ,
We have different tactics on gaining profit so if call HODLer's greedy then you should also call the short term traders greedy.
Just because holders are gaining now that doesn't make them greedy we don't know their story they might jave lose more than what they are gaining now.

Those long term holders are not in hurry to get their profit. They are actually, doing save for the future savings. Perhaps, We had our own reason why We hold em in long term, it could be that We saw something that it can give in the future which is it has a high potential if We hold em, were some kind of a strong belief just holding Bitcoin, isn't right?

It's kind of ridiculous when have a talk that holders are greedy exactly. I want to have a big criticism on those who have thought our hodlers are greedy. We all have our own strategy as well as plan in terms of investing or trading. We should better respect the plan of one another. Generally, we are here with common targets, that is we can grab benefits from crypto market. Definitely hodl is one of the most effective way plus sucured for us to minimize the loss in many times of volatility; thus, hodl is not a bad idea, also hodlers should be not considered greedy as well.
27  Economy / Economics / Re: Starbucks, Nordstrom And Whole Foods Now Accept Bitcoin on: May 16, 2019, 12:49:44 PM
One big question here is what the media and pro establishment response will be, if any. There have been numerous news reports of mcdonalds and other retail giants rolling out their own payment processor systems based around cell phone technology. In mcdonald's case, their implementation was reported to be significantly flawed with many having their money stolen and accounts breached. Crypto currency based payment systems associated with cell phones could be poised to provide a stable and functional merchant platform in an era where such technology is in desperate need.

I wouldn't have tested out that McDonalds' system, sucks to lose money. I use an exchange to pay my bills right off my phone, never once did I had a problem.

I don't know if I missed it in the article but is Starbucks planning to accept bitcoin directly? Or are they making some sort of system where you can top up the account with bitcoin and then use that to pay for the purchase (sort of like what large exchanges do)?

Such a great news to all of us! . However, do you think that it depends on the country that some chains above accept bitcoin?, because i completely don't see the sign of accepting bitcoin of Starbucks in my country, it's such a big pitty. Actually, the number of businesses that accept bitcoin is gaining more popularity in many places in the world, although the governments in some countries still have not recognized it officially. Hence, i think it's a good sign for bitcoin to be soon accepted.
28  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The only safe haven currency is Bitcoin on: May 16, 2019, 12:36:30 PM
3) I will have to ask a general question? Why many governments are classing Bitcoin as a property & not a Currency.
They view BTC as an asset primarily and don't consider it as a currency just like majority of the investors in the cryptocurrency market which is a much better and safer option for them. We need to reverse this asap by driving adoption rates higher with time through regular developments.

there isn't  only one country and one government in the whole word to have a singular view about bitcoin. there are lots of countries and each have their own view. there are countries that view bitcoin as a currency as they should and there are others that see it as a commodity mostly for tax purposes and in most cases the governments are undecided but open to bitcoin and finally in rare cases we have total ban.
Obviously, bitcoin is just considered a good kind of payment by many people who have known and appreciated it. As we can see, compared with all countries in the world, the number of nations which recognizes bitcoin or other cryptocurrencies is quite rare. But most countries have their own reason for making their mind up, eventually, although we grow a big expectation on using bitcoin officially, we have to respect the governments. Cryptocurrency is a clear sign of a more advanced society, some countries which recognize crypto currency paves a good way for bitcoin to be used widely and officially.
29  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why do we need so many cryptocurrency exchanges? on: May 15, 2019, 12:53:32 PM
Exchange for virtual currency is like a bank for Fiat.  There are not many of them.  If there is demand in this, then there is competition among them.  And while for a simple user it is easier to pick the right exchange.
Yep, because crypto market has demand for using exchange, hence it comes with not surprise when our market surrounds with a vast number of exchanges. Especially, as we all know that each exchange remains its own function. Probably we have seen many different types of exchanges, and that is kind of difficult for one to choose a reasonable exchange. Obviously, the number of exchanges is becoming increase every single day, it's a clear sign of competitiveness. If an exchange is created with a more dorminant function, definitely it attracts much attention of people. But as you can see, it's pretty hard to create a renow exchange which can please people quickly.
30  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Germany's First STO - Your thoughts? on: May 14, 2019, 04:16:52 PM
STO is a rebrand of ICO with some upgrades made regarding the security of investors and their money. Honestly I've never participated in one of those projects and don't know exactly how they work but from what I can see they are somewhat better than ICOs even though scams are still possible here and your money are not 100% safe. I think we'll have to wait a few more months until we can take a decesion about STO and how good they are.
Almost crypto members tend to give up on ICO because they used to encounter a very big loss from it. Anyways, we almost lose a huge trust on ICO. I don't catch too much information of STO, but in general STO is similar to an ICO, but whereas ICOs are the sale of coins, purported utilities or even currencies, STOs are the sale of securities ( i had copied this line from an article) , it sounds like pretty interesting. I've heard many of my friends gave good words of it. Actually, if it really works, we all will pay too much attention on it, right?. Maybe STO is created to take place of ICO and hopefully it can please many of us.
31  Economy / Economics / Re: Why everyone learn from Warren Buffett? on: May 14, 2019, 12:12:32 AM
Obviously, not all people base on Warren Buffett philosophy, just with those who want to have his advice as well as experiences to partially make their work more successful like the way Warren Buffett did. I wonder why so many people are so bizzare, they have their own reason to follow a philosophy but then when they failed in what they had followed, they blamed for the philosophy. Warren Buffette is known as a famous person in terms of investing, because he has a good analysis, skills. However, it does not mean that you can succeed in investing if you follow his advice. The most important lesson is to learn, you learn from his experience than do your own way to gain profits. Especially, don't blame his advice anymore, the biggest failure indeed from you yourself.
32  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Suggest me?? on: May 13, 2019, 11:46:41 PM
It is good that you are want to invest but the problem is you only have $10 to buy coins. I think once you buy a coin you will need to pay transaction fee from the wallet that you use and to the exchanges that you want to trade so your $10 will turn maybe $9 only.  For that amount only you can buy only low price of altcoins and tokens with few pieces only.  I suggest to you add more money that you can afford but if you really wnat to start at $10 I respect it.
Yep, 10$ is such a tiny capital for you to start in crypto. Although many people told that it would be much better for newbie to start with a small amount, still 10$ is too bad to start personally. If you really want to participate in crypto world and really pay attention to learning or scoring experience or earning income in general, you should prepare an amount which can help you to choose a better coin. Though you are just on the way of learning, you should choose a good coin to buy and focus.
33  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: what we can buy with bitcoin ?? on: May 13, 2019, 11:19:01 PM
some world property, industry, and the world of food receive BTC payments.  You can buy pizza with BTC.  and you can buy chicken at KFC with BTC.  or you can receive BTC salaries in several companies that have adopted BTC.  in my country there are restaurants that accept BTC.
Depending on the areas where we are, cause in out place we can used Bitcoin to buy load, electronic bill, water and electricity bill payments but not all areas are covered. I don't know if the other country have did it also.
It is a huge development in crypto especially for the peoples acceptance with this new form of currency and it never be that easy as it takes a process and study for business institutions owners.
Yep, obviously although bitcoin is gaining in popularity, still it's not recognized officially and widely in most places in the world. Compared to period time before, bitcoin transaction fo buying something or services is getting to increase, but it's quite limited and especially depends largely on each country. Probably what we can use bitcoin to pay directly for electronic, water bill is applied but in some countries we can't use bitcoin to make payment even just a thing. As you can see, in Japan, there are many companies accept bitcoin. It shows a good sign in bitcoin development. Hopefully, all of us can use bitcoin officially in our country in early day.
34  Economy / Economics / Re: Future of Bitcoins - What will happens to BTC on: May 11, 2019, 10:29:16 AM
That is true, nobody knows what the future of bitcoin will be. There are different opinions and even being different, they make a lot of sense, as the probabilities are infinite. I believe adoption will continue to increase, although I don't think it's mass adoption yet.
As adoption increases, awareness will increase as well, as consequence. Bitcoin has good chances to become a very strong currency in the world, especially because it has overcame a great enemy: the mainstream media. If nobody listens what media says, bitcoin won't be defamed.

The media coverage has obviously increased, and it has become more positive. I still remember the case during 2013-14, when the mainstream media was very negative in its coverage of BTC and was portraying it as a currency of the drug dealers and criminals.

Adoption continues to increase, but at a much slower rate when compared to 2017. The sharp correction that we had in 2018 slowed the adoption process. But I believe that this is just a temporary phenomenon. As the exchange rates increase once again, the rates of adoption will also pick up.
Generally, with those who believe in bitcoin usually make a positive prediction on cryptocurrency. Personally, bitcoin should be considered one of the greatest invention of the world. Although it's short of official recognization, still it's gaining in popularity every single day. Bitcoin was born about 10 years, and now it's continuously on the way of gradual development. Like a famous person, it's been passed through many bad as well as good rumours, plus critisism, even the ban from many governments. But after all, no one can prevent it from developing. Exactly i believe bitcoin will have a bright future, hopefully we will soon use it officially like the way we use fiat currency.
35  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How long do you think this BEAR MARKET will LAST? on: May 11, 2019, 10:03:48 AM
For sure bear market gonna end up soon as possible because in this days lot of altcoins get pumping out last time i check on coinmarketcap. But at this time altcoins and bitcoin get increasing up at this moment.
Not really it will take some time before everything will be green again, bitcoin is getting momentum and that's a good indications, while investors have a good  opportunities to buy in and start accumulating their favorite alts to get a good profits after the market completely bounce back and recover from  that massive bear seasons.
Personally, bitcoin movement has been getting much better in some recent month of this year. Compared to 2018, this year has been pleased many of us with slightly consecutive increase, hence probably it's a good sign of having a bull run. Not only good news from bitcoin, but also from many other cryptocurrencies. Especially some altcoins also has sign of bringing us benefits. Yep, i completely support you to buy or diversify coins soon in order that you can gain big fruits in this year.
36  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How big is the role of the government in the development of Bitcoin? on: May 11, 2019, 09:50:46 AM
Governments have a big role with the development of bitcoin. One example is the support that the cryptocurrency network got from Japan. Soon after the adoption of bitcoin by Japan there is a big change in the entire market. In my understanding when governments help with massive adoption there will be more number of users making it function perfectly and the scams can also be eliminated. Here only complication is the decentralization, when governments support the growth automatically they try to take it into their hands which completely destroys the market.
It takes for granted that governments have powerful in terms of bitcoin development. However, it seems like almost many governments in most countries in the world oppose cryptocurrency industry, they even impose a ban on using it. It's fortunate to have bitcoin accepted in some countries, which pave the way for bitcoin to gain in popularity and also accelerate cryptocurrency growth a lot. Hopefully, bitcoin may be accepted widely and officially in most places in the world.
37  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How do you protect your digital coins? on: May 11, 2019, 09:28:57 AM
Paper wallets, cold wallets and hardware wallets are the most safe storage for cryptocurrency right now. I'm using hardware wallet right now. It is where my long term coins are at this moment. I put some Bitcoins too in Electrum and in one site incase there is an emergency or I feel that I want to trade or to gamble some Bitcoins.
I kind of agree with you guy. As we all know, anything which is connected with the Internet may bring us the lack of security. Therefore, one of the most  efficient way to protect our currency is to store it in something which can get rid of Internet impact. For example, secure and renowned hardware wallet such as Trezor or the Ledger Nano S. These wallets can partially help you to avoid being hacked. Though using mobile wallet is considered quite convenient, you'd better not to use it. Because your digital coins will be easily lost.
38  Economy / Speculation / Re: Where do you think Bitcoin will be by the end of 2019? on: May 10, 2019, 03:53:50 PM
Hi Bitcointalk!

Curious to know your predictions on pricing, new projects, news and whatever else may be significant to Bitcoin by the end of the year.

 Smiley
Actually i don't know how to make a prediction suitably. Personally, if i have to make a prediction on bitcoin movement, a positive prediction is appreciate than any negative one. However, as we all know, compared to a bad movement last year, bitcoin price seems to speed up in 2019. Bitcoin has shown us a good sign of bull run because of consecutive increasing from the very first day of this year. It really pleases us a lot. As what i have observed, i believe bitcoin will have a breakthrough in this  year.
39  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: IEO is not that bad as stated on: May 10, 2019, 03:34:25 PM
My own reasons why I think IEO is better than ICO

1)IEO projects are legits ,scam free but
 i) don't always expect the IEO tokens to double after IEO instant sell out ,many are complaining about IEOs losing value I think this is possible and normal too

2) IEO is here to fix scam issues only don't expect that all IEO will be a success on the long run, they might still fail but far from scam like ICO projects

3) it's wise to do better research even if the IEO is launching on binance ,don't just invest because the IEO is from popular Exchanges because what the project is introducing might not even make lotta sense
That make sense, and I think you are right! IEO was just aim to erradicate the exit scam ICO scheme. since most of the Exchange that offered Initial Exchange Offering Services has a strict KYC procedure thats why we can be sure that only legitimate project will be cater. But just choose the trusted Exchange with tract record so you can sure it was a legitimate one.
Personally, till now you and i, no one can say for sure whether or not IEO is much better than ICO. Because there is no clear thing that can prove exactly which is much better. At current, it's just about the trend. Obviously, because most of us have a big disappointment on ICO, then ICO named with a big criticism of scam. Therefore a vast number of people threw criticism on ICO. Afterwards owning to losing big faith on ICO, people are in direction of using IEO instead of ICO. Now it seems that most of us pay attention on IEO, so we start indicating IEO is much better than ICO. Just the mainstream!
40  Economy / Marketplace / Re: How did you get scammed? on: May 10, 2019, 03:06:42 PM
Scammers are every where even on this forum you can meet people. There are clear explanation on scam accusation section about these kind of problem in various thread.
Simply if you use any good and trusted escrow in this forum. Then there is no problem for anyone. This is the simple and best way to avoid scam issues.

Even someone who has been trustworthy in the past can turn into a scammer if the amount is high enough.  I've seen it many times before, most people have their price.
Obviously almost all members in crypto community got scammed. Actually, it's not easy for us to get rid of being scammed in this tough market. As we all know that crypto is considered a world of scammers and rarely a newbie or any others are not scammed.  Most of us, actually, are both careless when some first step entered the market. We have not prepared a good knowledge or not ready to start the work yet. In a nutshell, it takes for granted that being scammed in this market is not a shame or a very big mistakes, because this crypto world is inherently severe. The most important thing is that you have to realize the reason why you got scammed and try not to make the same mistakes twice.
