Nicholas var nylig med på dokumentaren “Bitcoin-eksperimentet” på NRK, og er en veteran i det norske Bitcoin-miljøet. Han møter opp for å snakke om sin lidenskap, nettopp Bitcoin, og hvordan vi kan komme igang med det og ta det i bruk.
Nicholas skal også være med og hjelpe oss i gruppene.

Thomas er datakonsulent med stor interesse for pengeteori og kryptologi. Han kommer til oss for å snakke om pengeteori,

Bjørn Bjercke, også kalt 'Mr. Bitcoin', er kjent for sin evne til å forklare Bitcoin og blokkjedeteknologi på en folkelig måte. Til daglig driver han selskapet Rett IT, og jobber med å få på plass Norges første profesjonelle Bitcoin-mining-operasjon, Norchain.
Vi har vært så heldige å få Bjørn til å komme og gi oss en nybegynner-vennlig introduksjon til Bitcoin!

How much do you want to buy in terms of USD/BTC? 

When you do buy, make sure you VEST them immediately to prevent dilution, or if you don't vest make sure you assume a much larger supply of STEEM when pricing.

BitShares lets you trade 2 types of assets: user issued assets and market pegged assets. Each exchange could issue a user issued asset as an IOU for their assets (IOUs are basically what you have when you hold crypto on a centralized exchange) and trade against other exchange's IOUs or market pegged stablecoins like bitUSD, bitCNY, and bitGOLD. On BitShares you can trade any asset against any other asset... but not all of the markets are liquid.

So you might see coinbaseUSD, bitstampUSD, btceDOGE, etc. trading on bitshares. The cool thing about this is that each participant still controls the private keys to their balances, and they can also be sure that the orderbooks aren't being manipulated behind the scenes.

x4 increase in pool hashrate for periods, with upto 18GH seen ocasionally.  
Was the most profitable mutipool for Scrypt and X11 mining on 4 occasion during the week (see charts below)

Focus of next two weeks:
Start the 100% delegate campaign to upgrade/replace www.minebitshares-com delegates support the costs for the change made to 0% pool fee and attract dev/admin paid help
Enable the pool api to support BTC/MH/Day profitability listings on http://poolpicker.eu - already contacted
Creation of pool announcement and FAQ with Chinese language translation

Glad people are still following the progress.

There are already platforms where each node could be run for $30 a year or less, when running at visa levels of transactions.

At 2000 TPS validation costs equals the cost of running server which include 100 MB/sec network connection, a server with 256 GB of ram or more, high availability (redundant backups), DDOS protection, etc.   These kinds of systems can easily cost $5000 / month or more to operate at scale.
