21  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: GAW OneMiner ZenCloud Hashlet - does it really exist? ALWAYS MAKE MONEY :-) on: August 21, 2014, 08:55:33 PM
They are mining SHA256 too so you would also have to look for them directing hash at BTC directly. The same equipment could possibly get higher hash rates on SHA256 too, though lower payouts. However, the script network can only take so much hash before prices go down so...

It says on their site, Zenpool is for hashlet mining (scrypt)

SHA256 miners cannot use zenpool (see below)

Why Hashlet does not have any real specification?
Hashlet is a cloud mining contract. It doesn't need any specifications.  Just like cex.io and pbmining don't give any specifications, you are paying for that hashrate, they take care of it under the covers.

I'm crossposting this as its worrying me.

I apologize if someone already asked this.

Their zenpool stated hashrate is 149GH/s

But I don't see anything here (https://www.litecoinpool.org/pools)

Granted they may not be mining litecoin exclusively.  But shouldnt zenpool be #2 on that list?
24  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: GAW Miners (Scrypt ASIC seller) independent feedback thread on: August 21, 2014, 07:53:46 PM
I was thinking the exact same thing: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=720844.msg8474164#msg8474164

It does not add up as far as I can see but it will be interesting to watch if ZenPool continues to grow 10-20 GH/s per day and if that's going to be reflected in Scrypt network hashrates.

Scary stuff

Soniq what is taking so long?

Just ordered Hashlets yesterday. So far very happy with the mining on zenpool. At current pace ROI in 60 days.

Aren't you nervous?  KNC Titan is supposed to come out in a month.  Their own vaultbreaker is coming out soon.

Why invest in scrypt now?

I finally got an update from Carlos in Sales (after 4 days!).  He promised me compensation for the missed mining time.
Also Eric was very quick to respond to my private message.

My other ticket seemed to not have any response now for 2 days.
VERDICT: Customer service is a bit of a mess. You have to be able to find the right person to talk to, in order to get help.  Or be patient.. Really patient.

But i am very happy with the outcome
Thanks for fixing these issues. I look forward to working with GAW

I have a bit of a scathing review to post as well. 4 days now and no miners received for their cloud hosting.  Nobody responding to my tickets

I am waiting to see if they do something about it before I post the details

Was your order in the new Hashlet program?

Dont think so. it was from here
https://cloud.zenminer.com

ZenCloud I think.

The reason they gave me is I triggered their "fraud prevention" measures.    Ordered Friday.. but still not activated... what gives
Oh and the money was taken out of my credit card

Why did it trigger?  Because it was trying to charge me for shipping and their sales person told me to put my billing address as their datacenter address.
But once the money was gone, now Carlos Garza refuses to answer my sales ticket.

Also, I tried to escalate to Eric, he told me to email Amanda to process my orders.

So the long and short of this... I have to chase them all over the place just to get my order activated.

I want a full refund now.  Enough of this nonsense

EDIT: They compensated me for lost time mining as promised.  I still think their customer service is a bit of a mess, but overall my miners are up and I have no complaints now

EDIT: Finally got a response.  Compensation given for downtime on hosted miners.  Problems all solved

I see.  Well then I'd guess I would need far better cooling than I've got on my Oct Jups so I'll stick with stock speeds. Thanks for the info though!

Not necessarily.  Depends how much you manage to undervolt. One of my Jupiter's is amazing,  some of the dies go well above 1000 with voltage at - 0.0586v..

But anyway,  I just threw in 3 case fans inside the case near the exhaust part  to push the air out.  :-)

Were these really hashing at 500 only GHs?

October Jupiters as high as 680Ghs and November Jupiters can go as high as 940GHs with Padrino firmware

Do you know if there are any adverse side-effects to running the custom Padrino firmware? I presume the firmware just overclocks the shit out of them, no?

It unlocks the mhz to go over 1000 per die. It also includes bertmod for easier tweaking of the mhz.  So far it's working well.  I didn't try it on October units

Link to the firmware?

My apologies for the delay a Family Emergency had caused.
It added at least a couple weeks to the process.

Sincerely,
MM

Not your fault.  Larry just takes his sweet time when it comes to other people's money

I wish BA was competent enough to hire someone like you to build their units. One man operation doing hundreds of builds in a matter of weeks while our million dollar Chinese operation can't figure out if they are coming or going

I have to clarify some numbers on spreadsheet with my programmer and will be sending out payment ASAP

Waiting for payment.
Thanks

Before you powered them down, they were all working?
40  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin being killed by ethereum dump on: August 14, 2014, 01:16:25 PM
They said they are distributing the btc not that they are actually selling it.   Blaming them for dropping the price is like blaming someone for using cash and then spending it.  Isn't that kinda silly?  Btc was made to be used and to easily raise funds online. Looks like it succeeded to me!
