It looks like in fact it is that hard. DGC has lost many such polls to other coins lately. Not that they matter much, but it tells you something about the true size of the community at this point.

At this rate of BTC rise in FIAT value all ALT COINS including DGC will need a few more decimal places, unfortunately. I do not want to sound pessimistic but that is reality right know. This are really hard days for scrypt miners. Baritus is doing good work but everything regarding DGC is moving slowly like in Matrix, and BTC is in tremendous acceleration.
Indeed. I was trying to decide how to best manage my current stockpile of DGC. I had considered selling it back into BTC and then waiting for the bubble to burst to dive back in, but as it stands I'm not sure -when- that will happen. I'm really not sure that the place to be in is DGC, but I don't have the heart to sell over 10,000 coins either. :/ I am holding 15k, not selling single one of them for next 2 years at least, on the other hand, with some resources availiable I will buy and hold even more. |

Well, we as a comunity should figure something out. There was a two major updates, and Crypto Ave and Bank will be release soon (I Hope), We have got market place and advertising platform. Coindesk is a great place to let more people know about it. More people know about it = more people involved. I am sure DGC has Community Manager who can help with writing such text. What, you write your own articles at coindesk? I thought they and their own staff writers just like everyone else. Where did I said that? They have a option to send News tip on a main page. We should use that.  |

Baritus Are you considering lowering difficulty up and down steps (currently +100% / - 50%) in next update where retarget time will be 1/10 of current retarget time? Diff changes can be them much faster AND smoother
It will be 1/5th of the current target time due to the block time doubling. The difficulty caps won't be changed as they are already at the desired level. It certainly is desired level! I hope it is also well choosen level. When will V1 update take place? Sooner the better |

The correct difficulty is 1.96247829. Any pool showing 0.98 did not update their DGC daemon. Pool operators please update your code with the correct source from the new repo: https://github.com/baritus/digitalcoin. You can not just do a 'git pull' since the repo name changed. If i am mining on a pool showing 0.9 does it mean i am on the other fork, so my mining is useless? |

Oh, FYI guys. There's some really fed up people with Baritus' power trips and antics.
Last night on Cryptsy some new guy I've never seen before, by the screen-name of "digit", said he was fed up, he was gonna PM Baritus and give him one chance to explain what the hell was going on and then if Baritus didn't cooperate he was gonna move to take this coin over.
Let me tell all you worshipers, it wouldn't even take $10,000 to get Baritus out of here with a court order. I gave this guy my votes and coins as well and if it goes that far you guys will see just how many people have been pissed off by Baritus' arrogance.

Well i has to agree on one thing - Diff problem should be solved much sooner and much precise...
Well ppl, if some of you feel urged to carry out posting-battles on such a level, they should consider to start a separate thread for that - perhaps charging fees for those who like to follow it. Afaik this here is the main thread to DGC and i think ppl interested in DGC would like to read more substantial about DGC than personal tainted lamentations . I read a lot here about that "Diff Problem" - and i tend to agree to those who ask for quicker diff-adjustments in order to limit negative side-effects of pool-jumping on constant miners. However I don't believe that is the only or even the predominant problem DGC experiences - currently exposing something like an all-time-low. Of course many other coins are going down currently as well - but that can never serve as an argument to refuse an analysis of or the debate about possible causes for the "own" coin and appropiate means addressing that phenomenon. Perhaps the community can find back to an objective debate in a more constructive atmosphere...  It not about posting-battle. I am just saying my opinion, and it not first time I said it. Well i think it is a main problem. Current all-time-low is no problem at all for me I want a large discussion how to fix diff adjustment I would suggest we wait and see what the client update brings and if we need to improve we can try something else. Personally, I believe Baritus knows what he is doing. I doubt we will need a second fix. We just need to get past the multipool problem Agree |
