Hey gang.
We know where to hold ethereum backed coins, and where to hold bitcoins, in cold storage. But do guys / gals have a way to hold other crypto currency off line in cold storage.
For example. I have been looking at a few coins that are not ethereum erc/20 derivatives - branches, etc.. but do know where to keep outside of a computer / offline.
Any advise would be appreciated.

A major problem of civilization is the large wealth gap between the rich and poor. Since bitcoin has been called "programmable money", it seems this problem can be solved, simply by having the program calculate the overall wealth average, then slide everyone toward the average by a certain percent. I don't mean make everyone absolutely equal because then there'd be no incentive for anyone to work or innovate, just slid toward the average by a certain percentage over time (what percent would work best would have to be experimented with). I just mean society can be thought of as in same ship all being raised by the tide of overall total wealth together. So if a widget (like a computer) comes along that drastically alters society, everyone benefits, rather than just Bill Gates, etc.
Don't get me wrong; I am in the voluntaryist/libertarian camp, and know the argument Alex Jones makes against welfare of it being an attack on the middle class by the mega rich who are exempt from tax. And tax is a violation of the non aggression principle because people are forced into it. However welfare coin (or bitcoin reprogrammed as described above, moving everyone toward the wealth average) would be voluntary. Nobody would be forced to use it. What do you think?
Someone else said it could be exploited because people would make tons of extra wallets to catch all the welfare payments. So the technical problem seems to be limiting 1 wallet per 1 person (or even multple wallets per 1 person, but record which wallet belongs to who). It seems this technical problem could be solved with a fingerprint or similar somehow?

It will only help make the poor equally poor. Socialism doesn't work. We have countless examples that show how socialism consistently creates poverty.
Hmmm what about Chavez lifting millions of people out of poverty? He used to provide cheap oil to poor people in the US, can't remember the last time Exxon made any discounts for people struggling to heat their homes. Argentina (pre US freemarket intervention) had higher literacy rates and less inequality than most western countries. Spoken like a true dictator. Next your going to say that Castro was a humane person. |

Crypto world is new to most people and people like you makes no sense at all. too many newbie accounts complaining that they did not received the swaps? Not cool newbies, I think they are only using alts that is why.
Its scary to us newbies .. There is a trust factor and the unknown. someone suggested to simply sell the coins you have in the open market / exchange & go and purchase the same amount of coins over at EtherDelta .. Might not be a bad start. There appears to be a spread there between the two. Swap will be over soon and Developers can move forward with their projects. |

etherdelta also ethd too expensive why?
Why expensive? It's about half the price of the coin at Nova. The token price at ethdelta is ~0.001 eth which is ~0.00005 btc. The coin price at Nova is ~0.0001 btc. So basically, when you swap your coin to token you instantly lose half of its value. Isn't that great? sorry. why cheap? Look at etherdelta an compare it to the top volume exchange (coinexchange ethd/btc).. .61$.. or the lowest price at the other exchanges.. .51$ (coinexchange ethd/ltc). Now look at etherdelta.. there's a sell order for 0.001099889 eth.. multiply that by current price of eth and you get .36$. Instead of doing coinswap 1:1, just sell and buy x2 in etherdelta. Nice arbritrage actually there bud. Which I would have have seen this earlier. Plan on sitting on my tokens. |

You will lost all if you don't swap. Coinswap deadline is 11/10/2017 and the old ETHD will be done with as nodes will be stopped. I think you don't swap, sold it on coinexchange and buyback new ETHD, it will cheaper for you. Have you checked your tokens on ethplorer.io under your ETH balance?? You need show Dev that you sent the coins over. Send it him like the instructions said. To their address. |
