Will all the users that were already verified via xbtce have to re-verify? If they have the database, they should know who was verified already? Seems like xbtce has started the purge, I got email today to provide NON-US residency proof or provide details to remove funds. When I logged in to check, i am no longer verified.

When I had created my xbtce account, they did not have the "no US customers" clause on their site. Today i got the email notification from xbtce to provide non-us residency proof or remove any funds and the status was changed from verified to unverified. i hope whatever the new incarnation of btce doesnt do the same thing.

if you were already verified through xbtce, will you still have to verify again?

Can't foreign investors sue the Justice Department in the US if they don't get their money back? Afterall they're taking money from people outside the US following laws that are not their laws. This is basically like stealing since most people in BTC-e were not doing anything wrong basically.
Are there any EU citizens? If we don't get our money back, we should sue US. I doubt anyone can sue the us gov. 1 thing though is when the poker sites got their domains taken years back it didn't stop customers getting money in the end. The poker sites just had to pay fine and block US customers. Yep. Btce can transfer the coins to another website like xbtce which already block US users. Since when do they block US users? Since they used xbtce to verify users for btc-e, you would think they could start sending coins there to the verified users...if they want to return them From the xbtce main page "XBTCe does not provide services for United States residents" Is that new? I have an acct and I'm in US?

Do you really think this is the best place to complain about an order you made at some company who has nothing to do with the OP? I'm curious.
The post was about places to spend bitcoins, i was just stating my experience so far with 2 of the places mentioned in the thread. Sorry - I cant post in the other more relevant thread til i pay my newbie dues. If you feel it is not relevant, i request they be removed.

You can always swing by http://bitmunitions.com and see if we carry some good ammo at prices you are willing to pay! (Hint: We sell all products 15-20% BELOW USD market value. Great way to get extra value from those bitcoins you have.) Also I agree the https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Trade might be the best resource for customers looking for merchants. I placed an order at bitmunitions on 5/8 and am still waiting on an update. I was told it would be ready to ship on 5/10-11. Havent received a tracking number or the order and havent gotten any response from multiple emails to try and get a status update. I have had a great experience with bitcoinstore though, and plan to order from them again.
