21  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Bitcoin Cash a threat for Bitcoin? on: December 05, 2017, 07:19:41 PM
Market and adoption should select the winner. Instead, both groups are trolling and insulting each other, and use dirty tricks (such as "We're under attack! Everybody hold on!", or "Lets all go and down-vote their wallet on Google Play!" kinda thing). This battle doesn't look good at all.
22  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin rises still, but why? on: December 05, 2017, 06:18:37 PM
It's adoption is still at very early ages, there is a lots of room to grow. It has potential to be used among other financial tools: every household that has RRSPs, 401s, stocks, saving accounts, etc, will eventually have some amount transferred to bitcoins.
23  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What are your thoughts for Bitcoin in 2017? on: December 05, 2017, 06:05:40 PM
At least 20k by the end of 2018, with peak up to 40k during the year.
24  Other / Meta / Re: Are there real people here, or just bots? on: December 05, 2017, 05:36:16 PM
Bitcoin forectasted at 100k at the end of 2018! Buy before it's not too late!

Kiddingg...

I am real person. But it's hard to find answers on this forum buried in millions of posts, so it's just easier to ask again.
25  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum: Good alt or stay away? on: December 05, 2017, 06:30:54 AM
They have to fix a major drawback - impossibility to fix bugs in the code of smart contracts. When they do that, I will by ETH myself. Software industry deals with bugs by iterations of troubleshooting/patching. In etherium it is impossible, and price of bug could be all your money lost on that buggy contract. This makes it extremely risky tool that will never adopted on a wide scale.
26  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will Ether be $750 if Bitcoin reaches $10k? on: December 05, 2017, 06:17:59 AM
ETH price nominated in BTC steadily declines since it's peak in Jun 2017. If this trend continues, $750 with BTC@10k is very unlikely.
27  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is 50% correction on BTC possible? on: December 05, 2017, 06:00:06 AM
Sure it is possible, bitcoin had done it many times in the past. But for the long term it will rise.
28  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin or Ethereum: Which is the Future Cryptocurrency on: December 04, 2017, 07:30:00 PM
Ethereum has fundamental design flaw: bugs in contracts are stored forever in the blockchain and cannot be changed. Smart contract is code, and any code would always have bugs. All the money in the contract could be lost due to bug in the smart contract code, which automatically makes all operations with Ethereum extremely risky. That is why I think Ethereum will not be widely adopted as standard of crowdfunding industry.
29  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin as payment system on: December 04, 2017, 03:29:28 PM
... because the price of Bitcoin was so volatile.
or price of dollar is volatile, depending how you look at it
30  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bitcoin or Altcoin on: December 04, 2017, 03:10:48 PM
I used to mine almost all new GPU altcoins in 2014. Most of them were clones withe the only purpose to be mineable by GPU. They all are dead now, with the exception of litecoin. So I would invest in either bitcoin, or some altcoin that is innovative.
31  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin can be hacked? on: December 04, 2017, 02:44:38 PM
Bitcoin is safe as long as SHA-256 is not hacked. If, in theory, somebody figures out quick reverse function of SHA-256 (not by brute force), the bitcoin could have big troubles.
32  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Submitting tx based on tx from mempool on: November 20, 2017, 09:45:33 PM
Is it possible to submit transaction, which uses output from another transaction, which is in memory pool, so that both transactions are included in the same block?
33  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: why every blk00000.dat is different in every wallet? on: November 20, 2017, 06:49:30 PM
Yes, right, I confused it with chainstate db, which is XORed.
34  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: why every blk00000.dat is different in every wallet? on: November 20, 2017, 06:37:27 PM
Content is XORed with random key, so that antivirus software does not trigger.
35  Local / Кодеры / Re: Как в Bitcoin Core импортировать миллион приватных &# on: November 19, 2017, 03:48:59 AM
Посмотрите bitcore-node (и другие модули от bitcore). Там альтернативная полная нода биткоина, вроде может управлять неограниченным количеством ключей. Но занимаем 500+ гб на диске, и синхронизируется 10+ дней.
