21  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How To Spot a Shitcoin? on: March 02, 2020, 08:29:56 AM
You can also spot shitcoin by the reason for creation of the coin,  is the coin created to solve real time problem or for the purpose of just pump and dump.
We cant know yet if the coin created is for pump and dump until we can see them on exchanges. Yes, more likely the coin should have at least use case and a purpose. For an instance that coin cant provide much useful objective then Im suggesting to discard already and avoid it. Usually many projects are like this and using the eth eth network to create these useless coins for their promotions.
That's true most of current crypto newcomers are erc tokens with somewhat purpose or mission/trouble to solve.
Its rather hard to spot not shitcoin actually so that should be our goal I guess
22  Economy / Economics / Re: Using of Blockchain in Election on: February 25, 2020, 01:51:40 PM
Blockchain and elections can be a great pair, but first, they need to be tested. Well, in any case, this version of the electoral system also has its drawbacks. Someone can arrange a DDOS attack by simply scoring the network so that it cannot process votes efficiently, or even gain access to part of the votes, and thereby undermine the election process.

This is really needed since this is the first time we use that for election and might we will face some struggles for certain attacks, manipulation or others for this new innovation. But if this will work smoothly for sure blockchain technology will get a huge attention and might bitcoins an cryptocurrency will gain fame for this.

I think we must test it and work through any issues there could appear. Offline elections are habitual, so are the manipulations of regular elections - imo we are not that critical on them as we are on blockchain's ones.
But offline elections has no potential unlike online ones.
23  Economy / Economics / Re: Is the Market Stabilizing? on: February 18, 2020, 01:52:19 PM
The market only shows the vagueness of stability. As soon as Bitcoin stops at one place, the attractiveness of investing in it will fall many times.
In addition, I am deeply convinced that the market is controlled by certain forces that choose whether the market is stable today or not.
Do not let yourself be fooled because this is exactly what the market sharks are seeking.

It seems like market by itself trying to pick the most comfortable position, but there are some whales who want to rock the boat.
Anyway Bitcoin is quite sensitive to those waves so is volatile all by itself
24  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is digital gold good? on: February 05, 2020, 03:09:57 AM
As I am increasingly interested in investing some of my money in digital gold for the long term and I will invest around 40% whether this is good.?
give your opinion.
And I want to know a few articles about digital gold may be shared here.
thank you
Digital gold?

Why not try to elaborate more if you do talk about online purchasing of gold or simply do talks about gold-backed tokens?
if you do talk about projects that do promise out on getting some part of gold when you do make an investment then
better think twice.I have seen a lots of those projects turns out to be a scam in the end without giving something
to their investors.
Exactly. There are almost no ways of proving your token back gold and vice versa we can't really check it from our user's side.
So you got to research and make own decision whether you like it or not.
25  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Top 335 Cryptocurrency Prices Today on: January 31, 2020, 11:18:43 AM
The background seems too bright for me. Sites like this, we are abundant of it and it's okay to see more of them so that people would have a different option to visit not just CMC or coingecko. But for you to be able to get more visitors, look at them and see what they still lack of.
Unlike them, they have listed thousands of altcoins even the coins that are near to its death. By the way, keep it up and keep on improving.

I wanted to add a little bit of constructive - you can check other popular sites like this forum or reddit or damn facebook: all of them have some sort of grey-ish background which may lead you to some thoughts.
Also I'd suggest to work on scalability of the site, because at my 23" monitor there is plenty of blank space. So I assume you can stretch spreadsheet a bit more.
26  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is Ethereum About to Break Out of a 2-Year Bear Market? on: January 23, 2020, 11:58:35 AM
Ethereum, like all other altcoins, for 2 years in a row, we can say that they didn’t increase in price but only fell in price, this year the price of Ethereum increased slightly due to the fact that Bitcoin began to grow and all other altcoins started to follow Bitcoin as usual, but I think that after two years of waiting this year there should be some Ethereum growth.

I would love to believe that you're right, but I simply can't. Market has no strict rules/laws so we can say it would be nice for Ethereum to grow finally, but we can't say that it will for sure.
I believe that chances for it to grow are high this year, because eth 2.0 with PoS will come out so it definitely will pump price, but we can't know if the pump will be big enough to revive half-dead currency.
27  Economy / Economics / Re: Since 2009 There Was A 500% Increase In Internet Traffic. on: January 13, 2020, 12:14:09 PM
It is not surprising that the consumption of Internet traffic is growing all the time. Devices that need to connect to the Internet is becoming more and more. More and more data needs to be processed. I think this trend will continue. For example, the quality of images transmitted over the Internet is constantly increasing. Further, computer games are becoming more advanced and consuming more resources, both computing and Internet traffic, etc.
We cannot live without the internet anymore and it is now a necessity for every person in this world, especially if you are going to have a business or you are going to build a network of people because internet will make it a lot easier for you. The increase in the demand for the internet will make sure that the upcoming projects will be expose to a lot of netizens around and it will provide an assurance of getting customers and potential investors like what happened in crypto.

Unfortunately people are focusing their power on supporting consistent pleasures, instead of doing the beneficial work.
We could be living in better version of Ray Bradbury's world at this point, but we are lacking of motivation of doing hard but useful things.
I'm saying it because obviously Internet has enough speed and computers are advanced enough to live in comfort.
But we forget that more than 50% of people on planet still do not have any internet connection or/and devices to do that
28  Economy / Economics / Re: Crypto Taxation on: January 04, 2020, 04:15:29 AM
Ever since Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies became a hit within the mainstream world, governments have been quite skeptical about them. Despite the promise of crypto to bring trustless payments to the world in a frictionless manner, governments have taken every effort to try to prevent its growth worldwide. As of now, centralized exchanges dominate the space where they're subject to KYC/AML laws. There's literally no way to prevent government surveillance except for P2P trading (like Local Bitcoins, etc).

Considering that centralized exchanges serve as gateways from crypto to Fiat (or vice-versa), they've been the targets of governments worldwide. The main concern of governments is tax evasion and money laundering. Sometimes I wonder why governments want to tax our cryptocurrency funds if they're not considered as money by most people worldwide? After all, crypto's nature is a highly unpredictable and volatile one. It seems to me that governments want to profit from this venture more than anything else. Any other cryptocurrency which prevents them from "taxing" people, would be considered illegal to them in the future (like Monero, and other privacy coins).

Which is why, I believe that crypto taxation is more of a problem than anything else. Do you agree with me? What are your thoughts? Huh
That is the nature of governments, as long as you are getting some profits of whatever you are doing they want a cut, believe me they would like to make cryptocurrencies illegal but what argument can they use? In the case of drugs they can argue it is bad for your health and they want to protect you but they cannot use that argument against cryptocurrencies.

As such they are trying to slow it down and one perfect way to do this is by taxation, they will impose all kind of laws and contradictory regulations so companies refuse to deal with it and the rest have to pay huge taxes to them.

You put it like taxation is a simple scam to steal your money.
Govs taking a cut because it provides us a community, good laws and etc.
If we want cryptocurrencies to be a part of current world - we gotta sacrifice something to govs
Other way we shouldn't pay taxes AND should build new decentralized type of society
29  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Best way to mix bitcoins on: December 26, 2019, 10:34:46 AM
Of course there is no Coinbase mixer. Yes, I just use their wallets for mixing. I don't play at online casinos. My coins come from normal, legal sources - mainly from exchanges. I have passed KYC long time ago and never had problems with Coinbase.
I don't understand why mixer would be more secure than Coinbase?

I wouldn't call it mixing since you withdraw tainted coins with your info atteched to them.

I wouldn't want any exchange to know more about me than I allow them to know. Whenever I buy coins from an exchange for long term holding purposes I run them through a mixer, simply because I don't want to lead them to my cold wallet stash, because if they know, what ensures me that a government can't get access to that information? Better safe than sorry.

In the end, it all comes down to who you want to protect yourself against. If you get coins from your neighbor but don't want him to know what you end up doing with them, all he will be able to know is that you sent the coins to Coinbase. I personally prefer that no entity but the mixer to knows (and that they delete logs as they promise) what the destination address(es) is/are.

That makes a great point, thank you.
I've had no idea why I should use mixers and what it does with my security anyway.
Now I feel like I've got to find and use one for sure.
30  Economy / Economics / Re: Where should we focus this year? on: December 17, 2019, 03:54:58 AM
We should be focused on a way to stay focus on crypto during a bear market. Not let the distractions of life keep you away from what can be a great opportunity.
in this bear market if you are careful in trading you will get a lot of profit, a lot of coins are having pumps now, ATOM, AOA, INS are having pumps this week, I think the altseason will come

Most of the altcoins follow BTC's price path so thats why they still are called alts.
Anyway I barely can believe that alts market could rise at this moment when btc and eth are falling constantly for a few weeks.
