Your statement is some how true, but not enough. People demand for alts but through alts, people will collect bitcoin, alts is the train and bitcoin is the destination. 

There will be the time that the token/coin to be used in actual life. But not now. I can not use it for real life yet as it is not permit in our country

I myself also doing some airdrop/bounty and I feel also ok so far.
IF we are not lazy in the field and be patience,  we definitely can earn something big.

In term of money, I like POW as I have couple of miners.
In term of holding, I like POS, as we can do POS and get stakes.
So I like both type.
If I have to choose 1, I will choose, POS, its nothing like getting money from doing nothing.

if you are asking for 3X and bitcoin come to ath of 20k, its easy for many coins.
One potential coin I think is XLM. There are many development around it. The lightling network is also built on XML.
I predict a 5x return for this coin XLM.

All I can say is, in altcoins you can get x 3 - 4 - 5 ...10 of your investment in short time if you go right way and negative about that amount if you go wrong way or maybe unlucky.

All I have to say is you do research on the coin you take part in, especial bounty where you have to put lots of effort on it.
Re: Some good airdrop like DeepOnion, REBL...could bring a decent number for the participators and of course, there are crappy airdrop out there.

Just some down turn of btc and we already see value of many alt become near Zero. In 2 years, there are of course many coin will survive and many other will be born. However, I think also many will faded away. The later one will be invented to fix the mistakes of the former one and the crypto environment will be better and better.

Main reason is they do not really know what cryptos is and because of the scam case that media talking about daily.
Also because of the media attacking cryptos under the order/request...

This is good mind set ! and if you invest something that you are willing to loose, you dont have to think too much on it, cryptos job will be much more comfortable.

I never sell any of my airdrop coin so far. I will keep it at least a year to see how it go. It is free money after all.

To the whales, altcoin is the way to get more bitcoin. so the alts price will never be independent of BTC movement.

I will use $500k to buy a house near the beach.
$50K to buycryptos.
$300k to build warehouse for rent.
$150k to build renting rooms for rent.

I sold all my  Neblio in middle of the pump. I intent to buy back but it was never drop.

I choose BTC because I think it will raise more and more other than ETH
