21  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: CRYPTO BULLION (CBX) | Powered by PoSP | Est. 2013 on: March 13, 2016, 02:11:03 AM
Raspberry Pi support is slated for within the next month or so I think, presumably RPi 3 will be in it or included, but Alex will have to confirm.

Not sure what the problem might be m33. If you have rebooted the client and it staked then I would suggest leaving it for a while again to see what happens. If it still won't stake then of course post here again and one of the devs will look into it.

No config necessary. Did you send/ receive any funds since unlocking it? It relocks itself if you do that I think. You might try restarting the client also.

Edit: What would this Anon feature involve? It's not something I've looked into, although I know it has been brought up before.

Great new about bittrex!

What's the reasoning behind the people voting to concentrate on increasing volume rather than adding new exchanges?

That is good that Banx is coming back. I'm not sure what the problems were that caused the closure, but I think that more exchanges is a good thing and I found Banx to be good. I'm sure lots of people don't use Yobit or Cryptopia, so having CBX on more exchanges may help us to reach those people.

Looking forward to the 2016 CBX roadmap! These next two years I think, are going to be GREAT years for the CBX faithful.

What is happening on yobit. Price dropped or dumped just now

https://yobit.net/en/trade/CBX/BTC#12H

Only 1,000 CBX sold. Overall, a coin with 965,000 outstanding should be able to handle these minor trades.
We will need to build up stronger buysupport on a more meaningfull exchange. I do like Cryptopia but it's still a small exchange.

On another note, I have informed Elambert that I have coins stuck in cryptsy. Included is the approx 600 CBX that was meant for promotions.
At the moment there is no way for me to repay it and I can only wait for a chance to withdraw them.

Damn. Sorry to hear that BTCat. I have some coins there also 300cbx and various others, they are being very slow about enabling withdraws lately though. I was quite hopeful when they enabled some a few weeks ago, but nothing since then. Honestly I wasn't sure if it was fud or not, I got most my coins out to be safe, but left many that I didn't have wallets for etc. figuring it would probably all blow over anyway. I have a friend also who has 700 cbx stuck there (I did tell him he should move them when I first started hearing troubles). Hopefully all will be well in the end.

Now would be a very good time for a promotion too.

I sold 1 CBX at 0.006 and 1 CBX at 0.005, it was all I had on yobit at the time. I also sold 200 at around 0.0014 and 200 at 0.0008 on cryptopia during the aftermath, which I bought from the wall at 0.0006 the day before.

Ideally I know I should take another chunk out of the wall (which has since re-re-returned), but money is tight atm and bitcoin is up, so proceeds have gone towards some shiny new silver Britannias.

I used www.bitgild.com btw for the Britannias, to whoever it was recently asking about buying silver in the UK. Based I think in the Netherlands, they accept bitcoin and I found the price to be excellent. I shall use the service again when CBX gets back above 0.001 where it belongs.

I find 2.3.2 to be much improved over previous versions with regard to memory usage, but yes, it does still suffer from leakage. I think it happens quicker the more coins you stake. I'm sure Alex is still working on this, amongst other things.

ahahha... no more cbx for sale!

We definately need to focus getting one or two better exchanges, such as Bittrex or Poloniex.

I haven't used Poloniex before, but have been using Bittrex quite a lot recently, it seems to be a good exchange with good volume, I like it.

Has anyone contacted them yet? Coin additions appear to be at their own discretion or by way of payment of 3 BTC, as per this post:

That was precisely my thought when I read it. I have low cap alt coins on there that I have been unable to withdraw.

 http://blog.cryptsy.com/

QUOTE:

"Trades and withdrawals will be suspended on the site indefinately until some sort of resolution can be made.

Here are our options:

1. We shut down the website and file bankruptcy, letting users file claims via the bankruptcy process and letting the court make the disbursements.

- or –

2. Somebody else comes in to purchase and run Cryptsy while also making good on requested withdrawals.

- or –

3. If somehow we are able to re-aquire the stolen funds, then we allow all withdrawal requests to process.

I’m obviously open to any other ideas people may have on this."

Quick question, on a windows machine, will the wallet continue to stake even though the computer is locked, but on with the wallet open?

Yes it should continue to stake.
34  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: V2.3 UPDATE w/ PoSP | CRYPTO BULLION (CBX) | Est. 2013 on: January 11, 2016, 04:46:10 PM
vault 2.3.1 is working beautifully for me so far. nice work amigo.

edit~ maybe spoke to soon, memory usage has started to climb now.

it stayed low for quite a long time, been staking for about 18 hours now i think, no crashes. (much longer than with previous versions)but now that all my inputs are smaller my ram usage keeps steadily rising.

3.25gb now just for the vault. i'll keep an eye on it and report back.

Good to know, thank you FiniteRed. Exciting times indeed.

edit: I must have missed elamberts post about the RPi image, haha, just saw it. Very cool developments.

Just started my staking my collection, works like a charm - and have a ARM compatible wallet compiling as I type Smiley

Raspberry Pi staking node here I come Cheesy

FR

I'm interested to hear about this if you get it working.

My desktop pulls about 300 watts from the wall so I was looking to use an old laptop to stake, but unfortunately have been running into the memory usage issue that others have also been experiencing (awaiting any further fixes or work arounds for this) currently trying killiz' recommendation, and have ordered some more ram. I think I can get my power usage down to about 15 to 20 watts on this laptop, assuming that i can get the client stable and the cpu underclocked.

Raspberry Pi would of course be even better from a power usage perspective. I have one and I've played with it a bit but unfortunately linux confuses the hell out of me and I've never been able to set it up to do anything particularly useful before. If the Pi can stake well perhaps we could have an install image downloadable from the CBX website, for linux noobs like myself who want to stake 24/7 without spending a fortune on electric.

Great news.

Ah i see Smiley

Yeah I think it is just that your coins have not been there for a month yet. They need to have sat there doing nothing for a month before you can stake them.

Edit: Sent you a present Smiley
