Hmm, at which point does one switch from solo mining to a pool for this coin?

Edit: Guess Gamer67 answered it lawl Smiley

So solo mining this... got my first 500 from immature to balance - description "(n/a)"... then get transaction number 2 in with 2500 immature, now confirmed also with n/a.

So balance at 3000 and 2 transactions.  Thought this coin was 500 per block Huh

It should bounce back, it has too much potential to follow the other altcoins into the dust.

Here's hoping Magnavolt removes competition and gets this party started.

Those 4100 went on Gox and were sold at roughly 13:00 +10 GMT time.  By 14:30, that wall was gone.

Coincidence?

I bet if I were to make the effort to get SHT listed on some exchange it would be in the top 5.

LOL - Don't flatter yourself Vlad...  Roll Eyes

I Bet it would not make top 5!

Challenge accepted.

I would mine SHT for the sheer joy on a spare 7950 Smiley
31  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [ANN] CryptoLife.net - Hard hitting cryptocurrency news and analysis on: October 16, 2013, 02:57:03 AM

Your response is hysterical. You are intolerant.

If you leave out BTC and LTC...
This small player's coins have 1% of total Alt Coin Cap ($200,000 out of $20,000,000).

The recent MemoryCoin had a built-in voting system:

(1)  Every vote was manipulated by the Dev or others.

(2)  The last vote was whether to give the Dev 20% of the coins...
After weeks of confusion and debate...
The miners voted against, the Dev quit, MEG was delisted, coin is in limbo.

Everybody lost.

(3)  Long-term strategic decisions involving forks should be made by a trusted Dev...
Corporations hire CEOs to make decisions... countries elect leaders to make decisions.

Specific policy decisions made by popular vote are notoriously poor... look at bankrupt California.

Do you think Bitcoin development decisions should be made by popular vote?

Good one. I know in the grand arena I am a nobody, but I am part of this community and voted with others on the changes presented by the developer with no pressure what so ever to decide on one fate or another.

Back down QuantPlus and pollute somewhere else.
32  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: raspi + 10 Port USB Hub + 10 USB Miners = (AVG) 11.51GH/s??? on: September 23, 2013, 01:56:55 AM
Heya, it's all about the power supply.  The adapters that come with hubs are in all honesty, complete rubbish.  Most of the "Chinese" hubs have a 1A or 2A power adapter if you are lucky.  Divide that by 0.5 and that is how many miners you can run off the hub regardless of how may more ports it has.

As an example, I purchased two of these:

http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/10-Ports-USB-2-0-HUB-High-Speed-for-PC-Laptop-Mac-/200495286945

They came with no power supply (did not bother me as I was going to use my own).

Then purchased one of these, the 50w version:

http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/AC-DC-5V-10W-15W35W-50W-100W-150W-Universal-Regulated-Switching-Power-Supply-PSU-/231044303781?pt=AU_Lighting_Fans&var&hash=item35cb504ba5&_uhb=1

This powers, so far, 16x USB miners, 2x USB Artic Cooler fans, the Rpi itself via backfeed.

Rock solid and no issues. I have a colleague that is having random reboots which was caused by low power supply outputs.

Just my 2c.

Can you guys cut out the rubbish back and forth in this thread.  Keep it on topic thanks - nothing more annoying than checking this thread for updates and having to go through all the dribble.

Yes it is a funny spot to put the post.

I have been watching it keenly as I am close to ordering 2x 8 chip boards - the pricing is spot on affordable compared to buying another 2x 7950 cards in Aus at  least Smiley

39  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: gigabyte 7950 cards. on: August 15, 2013, 09:21:37 AM
I've had very good luck with 7950s so far - all Gigabyte.

Funny, I never had any issue finding settings or configs of people to play around with - the mining hardware thread was the best place to look, not the newbie thread.

Also, to get past newbie status, is just 4 hours of being logged in (refresh a topic or group every 15mins) and post 4 things - was not hard by a long shot, but certainly stops the spammers making accounts and posting random "make $4000 working from home in a week, easy" type material.

Anyway, glad you have it up and running with your 8 cards, welcome to the miners club   Undecided
