25  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How would you spend 10000 cad on cryptocurrency today? on: September 03, 2021, 12:04:27 AM
Here is a little update, so i went ahead and put 10000 down on bitcoin through Shakepay here in Canada. I decided to go the safest route and i am fine with it. Now that i have my bitcoin in my Shakepay wallet i want to transfer it to my celsius wallet. i always get nervous sending crypto to different wallets and i always want to make sure. Does anyone know about sending bitcoin from Shakepay? I know Celsius wallet is segwit. will i have no problem sending from Shakepay to segwit Celsius wallet? I think it would be fine but like i said i always like to be sure thanks.
26  Other / Beginners & Help / How would you spend 10000 cad on cryptocurrency today? on: September 02, 2021, 09:17:49 AM
So that's my question, i currently have 10000 extra dollars sitting in my bank account that i am going to invest in cryptocurrency. I would like to gather opinions on how you guys would invest this type of money today in the crypto market. I probably will just invest it all in bitcoin but i am still open to other choices in alt coins as well. I know a bit about cryptocurrency  since i got involved with it in 2017 but i don't follow everything about it everyday. I am more of a hodler a set and forget for the long term type of guy. so what do you guys think? i am curious thanks
27  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: Possible Goldshell HS5 for sale. on: June 08, 2021, 11:29:16 PM

I just ordered 2 HS5s from Chinese resellers for $6349

6349 for both or 6349 individually?

Where did you find that deal and who are these Chinese resellers? Sounds fishy to me I couldnt find any deals like that without it seeming scammy unless you have good connections that i dont know about.
28  Economy / Computer hardware / Possible Goldshell HS5 for sale. on: June 08, 2021, 06:56:34 PM
Hi I might be selling my Goldshell HS5 which i bought in february. Goldshell was back ordered so they sent a batch out in the beginning of june this month. My HS5 is currently in the mail on its way to my place. I have problem though i didnt think it out much when i first ordered this miner. I dont have a place to setup it up. i cant keep in my house because its too noisy and the shed i have in the backyard is not that good and could be easily broken in too. So i am thinking about selling it. If i sell i wonder how much i could get for it. there is one that sold yesterday on ebay for 9600 us and there is one currently listed for 12900 us that i seen. I know asic miners are extremely hard to come by now so what would you guys be willing to pay for this miner if i do decide to sell it. i can provide the best proof that i can thru pictures and video once it does get here which will be about a couple days from now. I want to be transparent as i can be with this cause I F-ing hate scammers as much as you guys probably do too. When i was first looking to buy a miner i was shocked by all the scams out there thankfully i was dilligent and ordered directly from Goldshell itself. All i can provide at the moment is a receipt from Goldshell when i purchased it. i havnt made my mind up totally yet. I just wanted to give people the heads up i do decide to sell it. I would accept Bitcoin as a payment, thanks. I am located in bc canada by the way

30  Economy / Speculation / Re: Would it be foolish to take out a crypto loan at this stage of the bull market? on: May 12, 2021, 10:19:16 PM
So i decided to take a 5000 dollar loan out at celsius wallet instead of 15000, it just works better for me 15000 was being a little too ambitious i think now in hindsight i am comfortable with 5000 instead. Yes its for 1 year at 1 percent so the interest will be very mininmal at 50 dollars for the entire year which works out to about  4, 70 a month and thats fine by me. Celsius has a clause were you dont have to wait until your contract is up to pay the principal back you can pay it earlier if you want to. Should things go south drastically i do have emergency back up funds to bail me out so thats pretty good too. All in all i feel pretty good about this transaction but now what left for me to decide is where to invest this 5000. i have a few coins i am thinking about and i decided against going all in on bitcoin. the coins iam looking at are ethereum, ada, and chainlink. i thought about going all in on ethereum to regain the full ethereum coin i had but sold earlier this year or spliting it up amongst the three, what do you guys think i should do thanks
31  Economy / Speculation / Would it be foolish to take out a crypto loan at this stage of the bull market? on: May 12, 2021, 01:41:41 PM
I am looking to increase my bitcoin holdings and i am looking at taking a crypto backed loan with one of the leading platforms? i would be fine to take this loan out a few months ago but at this stage of the bull run how risky would it be ,i know a loan can be risky to begin with, but am i just playing with fire or is there a good chance it will pay off? it would be a 15000 dollar loan a 50% ltv for more information, thanks

35  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My email and phone have been hacked, is my bitcoin safe? on: February 09, 2021, 04:36:31 PM
I just want to add to that the attacker sent an email which i click on my mistake. Some how something was installed  on my computer which he somehow used to get access to my phone. He or someone then performed a sim swap on my phone. And thats how they got into my binance account. I recently changed my phone settings and email account. And also i changed the email associated with my binance account. So my question to you guys is my binance account safe to deposit funds into now? I asked binance this but i havnt heard from them yet.
36  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My email and phone have been hacked, is my bitcoin safe? on: December 30, 2020, 12:33:14 AM
I just finished dealing with the phone service provider and they confirmed it was a SIM swap attack so i changed everything up. and i am going to reformat  my computer. i dodged a bullet thankfully and lesson learned.
37  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My email and phone have been hacked, is my bitcoin safe? on: December 29, 2020, 07:08:17 AM
Earlier this morning i got an email which i thought was from ledger saying that  "withdrawal delayed" so i opened it and it said someone from the ukraine was trying to withdraw from my ledger. So i got scared and clicked on the cancel button and it didnt do anything but bring me to a broken link. Thats probably how this came about somehow.
38  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / My email and phone have been hacked, is my bitcoin safe? on: December 29, 2020, 06:45:21 AM
Hi there tonight i found out my email was hacked and the password changed. i also watched in real time as the hacker went to my binance and bittrex accounts and changed the passwords and then logged into them. He also hacked into other crypto related websites i deal with. Thank God i had no crypto on either of these exchanges so the thief wasnt able to take anything. i have a feeling this information for them to use against was because of the ledger data leak, i was one the people who's data was breached. So i have a question if they can do all this what if they get on my ledger live. Is my bitcoin safe? i understand that they need the 24 word phrase seed to enter it but all this has left me unsure. I did manage to get an ip address from this guy but i know they can fake that kind of stuff so i dont know. What do you guys think i should do plz help thanks.
39  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / I cant get my ADA out of the yoroi wallet on: August 18, 2020, 07:36:39 PM

40  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / What are the chances of bitcoin taking another dive? on: July 27, 2020, 12:54:22 AM
Hi there i am asking this because i took out a loan at Nexo against my bitcoin. They told me my collateral bitcoin would have to drop 40 percent before they would start selling my bitcoin if the LTV threshold was passed. For me that would be if bitcoin were to  drop to around 5900 in price. So my question what are the chances of bitcoin dropping back to below 5900 again? I know anything is possible like what happened in march but realistically at this stage and time, what are the chances of that happening and me losing all my bitcoin? Thanks
